Tim Shaves it’s an awesome razor! But if you tried a ton of stuff out there the differences become more noticeable to you I guess. Yeah better than collecting dust right!
John question for you honest opinion from you lol I have Timeless .68 SB with scalloped too cap...now placing blade in it and looking at it looks intimidating lots of blade sticking out lol now wonder if 95 would shave better with smooth top cap?? What your view on this and advice.. I use karve plate C works like a charm and smooth...not sure how 95 SB would be in timeless.. Alan
Just found this video. I've also been looking at the Timeless razors. I have a few questions. 1. Which of the two Timeless (.68 and .95) is the easiest to find and maintain the correct angle? 2. Which of the two Timeless (.68 and .95) is the smoothest? 3. Which of the two Timeless comes closest to your GOAT Paradigm SE in terms of smoothness and cruise control mode?
.68 will be the smoothest and easiest to maintain the angle. That being said I still found the .95 very smooth and the angle still wasn’t all too hard to find on that either. I think I prefer the .95 for the added efficiency and that would put it closer to my favorite razors.
If you you don't mind medium aggression and efficiency is more important than smoothness get the .95 . if you value smoothness over that get the .68 and pair it with a feather. I have found the the new .5 Slim to be a happy medium between the 2. the open combs in my opinion just add some blade feel and make buffing easier since they leave left over lather on the face. I haven't tried the timeless OCs but I find that I am not a fan of them in general . hope that helps
@@johnshaves1996 I actually received the dual plate OC/SB .95 today! And I am pretty impressed and satisfied with it! Efficiency and smoothness with one plate!
@@g-legz awesome! Yeah personally I found the .95 smooth and efficient . Some others found it aggressive but I found all timeless razors to have smoothness it’s just what they’re known for! Glad it worked out
Hey Alan! This razor to me was deceptively efficient. A steeper angle had to be maintained to remain smooth otherwise it would feel rough at time. So if you like to ride the top cap you’d probably like it. I found the Game Changer to be smoother but your experience might be different
@@johnshaves1996 Thanks John will give a try can’t be that agressive compare to some other razors also blade plays a big part as well.. Thank you for reply and let me know Alan H
Like you I am not a fan of bulky heads. I know what you mean about the purchases... if I make a few at the same time, not only do I give them the attention they deserve but I don’t enjoy them as much. Brush burn? Never! Thought it was a myth lol.
I did like it with the feather blade But kind of the same way I prefer the Game Changer .84>.68 was that I still found the more efficient base plates smooth.
Nice comparison shave! Beautiful new brush! Keep up the good content bro!
Thanks for watching bro!
I love all knot types. Synthetic, mixed knots, boar, badger, and horse. But I do dig a good fan a bit more
Great video man! Love your brush
Thanks brother and it’s one of my favorites!
Some great looking hardware you have there!!!
Thank you! You sell some good software over there
Cuarto (4th)! Great comparison brother 👊🏽! Stay safe and keep that comment coming ✌🏽
Nice shave bro. People rave about the CG level 2 so I'm surprised to hear that. At least it's off to someone else for a good use now.

The Timeless Titanium solid plate 0.95 is very nice. Efficient but smooth.
Which plate do you recommend, .68 or .95? And why? And also how would the open comb affect them?

Hi John
Is charcoal goods level 2 aggressive razor or mild?
Wonder if it’s a smooth shaver no irritation.

@@alanh8101 of course always a pleasure! Let me know what you think. I’d like to hear your opinion
@@johnshaves1996 I definitely John most of CG razors are good and well made by Brian...

I have only gotten brush burn face lathering for the second time that day with a new boar brush
That I can understand! One of my first brushes was a boar and I tossed it lol the knot also fell out
@@johnshaves1996 LOL. That Omega Proraso boar brush is actually nice once broken in
Marion the Barbarian yeah I heard good things but I’ll never find out lol these “high end” badgers got me spoiled
First 🤙🏻

Shaving With Chief Yeah I could lather for a hour and be fine 😂
I’ve heard Timeless razors are very hit or miss.
I like all knot types like Marion: fan, bulb, synthetic, boar, badger, mixed.
TheTraveling Shaver They are great razors but once you’ve tried everything you find there’s some really good competition out there
@@johnshaves1996 what would you recommend over a timeless? like what would be your top 3 best if price doesnt matter.

I got my CG Lvl 2 from Anthony 🤣🤙🏻
Nice! The Carbon & Masamune ruined it for me lol
Not super impressed with the Timeless. I sold mine 2 months ago
Yeah I think why I’ve held onto it for so long was because I wanted it for a long time and the finishing was nice
@@johnshaves1996 that is why i held onto it for so long. I kept for 6 months, and used a dozen times
@@marionthebarbarian886 I was considering to get one! If it’s not that impressive what would you suggest instead? Thx
