I think that bolt is a replacement for the original. I suspect the original had a dished washer to make contact with the workbench or table, and instead of a hex bolt head (which I don't think existed at the time that vise was made) it had a hand knob. I like your style - it's good to see the tools, materials, and techniques used. Nice file work. Takes a lot of patience!

You're correct on the bolt. Should have matched the main screw.
Cool little vise man. I've got a big one that I need to restore soon. Nice job bro
I've got about half a dozen of them now.

Love the video! Looks amazing!
Thank you!
Picked one up almost just like this today. Does not have anvil horn and it was painted red from factory. Very cool restro.
Vises of this size are quite handy.

Really Great Job man. Thumbs Up and Subscribed :) Keep going my friend :)
Thank you I appreciate it.
It's not an antique unless it is at least 100-years-old. You haven't documented its age so it's just vintage.
Красивая реставрация только у болта для крепления к столу шайбы не хватает.
Спасибо. Я собираюсь сделать новый болт для этого, как только я настрою свой токарный станок и мельницу.
Wow, a small vise! Cute! Why the name "PEGASUS"?
коммент тебе для продвижения, молодцом
