I’ve always had faith in the 6.2L That’s an engine that floats under the radar. I’d love to do a 6.2L swap, but they’re still pretty spendy. At least at the local bone yards in Minnesota.
UA-cam should have like a trending/popular/cool car section because a build like this is priceless and original instead of the usual played out LS engine swap builds. These guys having only 20K subs is a travesty to content creators. Much better content than Streetspeeds junk channel
This is the kind of content I enjoy right here!! I’ve watched a few of y’all’s videos today, and this one here made me a subscriber! Awesome to see guys, and this is coming from a LS purist at heart lol!! Can’t wait to see how this car turns out!! Also question is this shop on Clinton highway in Knoxville?? It looks super familiar!
Love to see it! So with flopping the cam to the opposite extreme and dumping 12-15 degrees of timing into it, I now wonder how the compound setup would have run with proper tuning.
Is this 6.2 on complete stock bottom? If so this my be another motor thats gonna get expensive like the 2JZ and the LS did i may have to snag 1 keep it in the yard
Wait that's stock internals and stock ring gap? I had no idea the raptor engine was such a beast. Maybe because it came from the factory supercharged. Like the terminator had forged internals maybe the raptor engine had forged internals too.
100% stock engine aside for cam phaser lockouts. I don't think anyone knew the potential of these engines based on the power they've made over the last 10+ years with them. We certainly didn't have a clue. It just kept wanting more so we gave it more 😅
@@BoostandBadHabits That's crazy, i looked up the engineering specs on the boss just now. It does have forged rods and a cast iron block with 4 bolt mains. So it should be able to take a hefty beating. Also now I'm thinking about swapping this in my town car instead of the godzilla.
@@WillBABH oh yeah, still nice though. Those coyote rods fit in the 4.6 2v too i was thinking about swapping those in because i can get a whole set dirt cheap on eBay.
People don't know yet but 6.2>7.3. Also, if you guys go built motor the 7.3 crank is forged and supposedly will fit in the 6.2 giving you around a 6.7 on stock bore. Keep up the good work
Considering the displacement..... You have to wonder why Ford went with the 7.3, and it's because the Godzilla platform is easier to maintain and mod. Great job y'all
Bro seriously is that really a stock engine?? 975 wheel on a STOCK 6.2???? How in the high heels, honey hams, and haberdasheries is that fuckin possible?

Such a slept on motor for performance applications, great work
Those Ford modular engine overhead cam v8's LOVE boost.
That’s wild. 1000+ on a stock 6.2!!!! Always heard they’re only good for 700ish. Y’all are making history!!!
Holy hell bois! Now that was awesome!! Talk about a unit 20+pulls and didn't even flinch!!
the 6.2 raptor is criminally underrated
Matt from Sloppy calls that “chasing the red mist” 😂 glad you didn’t turn that 6.2 into a piñata!
Cleetus has the Dyno Marlin for luck, we have the dust d*ck on the back glass 😅🤷♂️
Almost needed a bigger ... For 1000hp👀
Lmfao

Very impressive. Thanks for posting
Congrats guys 🎉
Planning on dropping my 408 clevland stroker in a 88 vic. 700hp+ naturally aspirated.
I hope you take that Crown Victoria to the drag race track ( with Muscles, Europe and Imports) in the future.
I would spend dollars on your turbo kit there it looks so bad ass
That's why I like the car and yalls show everything is a real class act
That was awesome

Woah i grew up in rogersville and actually went to cherokee with jessie

It would've blown up 😅
Naww
@@BoostandBadHabits same peak power with even more torque than you already had, probably would have scattered it.

Im going to drop my 49 f100 body on a crown vic with a twin turbo 6.2l. I hope mine runs as good as yours does.
Crazy those rods are small in them motors.
On a real note why dont these boys have more subscribers
Imma need yall to tune my 6.2 super duty...
I want it!!
No foot brakes on The dyno crazy

Completely stock long block. Even Stock cams, head bolts, head gasket, and ring gap.

I’ve been saying for years they should bring back the Crown Vic, body on frame, RWD, solid axle, just updated… with a 6.2L Boss or 7.3L Godzilla.
Hell right
he looked so disappointed he didn't catch that
Fuck I need a 6.2 in my LxSport...
Craaaaaaazzzyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@@WillBABH Yeah, Ford never makes enough of the good stuff. But hey, they are still out there for now but it will probably be the next 351 Cleveland
I’m gonna push it for sure I’m gonna look into the 7.3 crank they do share the same bore spacing might have to order one and see
@@WillBABHPlease do and report back. The cranks aren't that expensive
1000 hp vic?!👀👀
nice
Crazy how stout the 6.2 is
I like this but with my money imma stick with my stock grand marquis😂
Ford did code name the 6.2 "Boss" we now know why
S H E E S H !
🔥💯💪🏻
Wow I lost
We all pretty much did 😅 . I never expected it lol.
I juz came to c if it sounded like a koenigsegg.
