What the creator isn't mentioning is age. We lose facial fat with age. I used to have a moon face. Wanted to be a model, couldn't. I'm 33 now and actually have angles to my face, no weight change at all.

What people also need to remember is that sometimes it's dictated a lot by fluid retention, like you might be 10% body fat but your face could look puffy/bloated because you retain a lot of fluid. Try to find out if a specific food is causing it, to my knowledge it's mostly grains and legumes/beans. also, a bit counter-intuitively drinking a lot of water and staying really well hydrated seems to help with it too

I think bone structure matters more than body fat %. If your facial bones stick out farther and are visible, you can get away with having more fat. That is really the best of both worlds, since having more facial fat will often make you look younger, fill in wrinkles, etc.

On the flip side, many peoples bone structure only has a chance to shine when they have lower body fat.

chewing more steak can develop the muscles in your face, its not too late!!! its not lowering your bodyfat guys, its avoiding seed oils. avoiding anything that causes you inflamation! seed oils will keep you inflammed even if your body fat it low!!! go on a meat only diet! i recceomend only steak becasue its the one that causes least inflamation even chicken can make you poofy. im so pissed that im 33 and barely found this out!!! the past year i look better than i ever have and its crazy!!! thanks to eating only steak and fruit and honey and raw milk!!!! vegetable can cause inflamation too!!! also start to walk outside barefoot for at least an hour and sleep on a grounding mat, with a zinc rod in the ground. i never realized how much inflamation i had. i thought it was body fat, IT ISNT!!! please someome listen to this adv

I think facial fat accumulation is more diverse than people think. If your sample size is too small, AKA using edited modelled photos, you're going to see ideals and not realities. I'd love a viewer poll and unedited photo submission for whoever is willing and study real facial fat and body composition comparisons.
I think small bone structure that protrudes out creates the so called attractive facial appearance, and more facial fat composition leads to higher so called attractive facial appearance with age, since most of us lose facial fat past 30 years of age.

My face was super lean and I looked great. Wide jaw and cheekbones makes my face carry extra weight pretty well until I go above 20% bodyfat. I always have defined cheekbones, but the definitions gets deeper and goes all the way to my jaw when I get below a certain bodyfat percentage. I have prominent high cheekbones and a decent jawline, so as qoves said it is not a universal rule. I probably need to go to 10% before I get a defined jawline, although I probably wont get hollow cheeks unless if my face slims down as I age. I got it from my mom, who is almost 60 yet looks mid 40. Go it from my mother. I must say that it pisses me off when people call me “cute” because of my chubby face, but when I look at my mother I think it worth it. She’s 44 years old and like 10 years younger without any type of procedures or skin care routine. She lost a bit of her face fat and now has a more chiseled look yet with a plumped face.

Now I genuinely can't go anywhere without people staring at me or asking if I'm a model. It honestly looked like she'd been given somebody else's head; face & body just didn't match. And those images on women only have one body shape... having bigger bums, thighs, breasts is beautiful too. Which is also FAT. If someone wants to get in better shape, fat% is just not useful info, can get to the unhealthy body image route.
