  • In this video we have a look at a Land Rover Series III that we have recommissioned. This video is an example of what you can buy for around 3500-4000 pounds. It is also a chance to see the sort of issues you may encounter if you do decide to buy a car that has been sat for any length of time.
If you enjoy the video please do like, share and subscribe to Brassic Classics. Any questions please do leave a comment and I will get back to you. Also don't forget to follow us on instagram at brassic_classics
    Thanks.

Great channel and a nice series 3, look forward to seeing a few more videos on it. Somewhat reassuring to see it smokes as much as my series 3 88". Agree with the other comments about Series Land Rover prices, miss the days of picking up cheap projects.

@@BrassicClassics thanks mate, I'm intending on having a look at the injector pump timing to see if that makes a difference 👍

ramarover It’s fairly easy remove the injector pipes from the pump. Then loosen the pump and adjust. Probably be to the left if it’s running rich 👍

@@BrassicClassics I reckon that's what it'll need, there's a little blue smoke on startup, but that clears after a couple of minutes. Rest of the smoke is black on acceleration, under load etc, presumed overfuelling.

ramarover Sounds exactly the same as this one 👍 Posts a picture of yours and let me know how you get on 👍

Very glad I bought my 109" when I did, you pay a lot of money for a barely driveable heap now.. I really do hope the bubble bursts, Land Rovers were always an accessible hobby vehicle and they are becoming further out of reach as values rise. The price of good parts is following suit, people asking £500 for a set of original mud flaps for example - ludicrous!
Good luck with the Series 3 - that'll keep you busy by the looks of it :)

steamwally very true. I totally agree. I bought my series 3 around 4 years ago just as the prices were changing luckily. This one is for sale at £4000 which is a fair price for what these go for today. The data of these being a cheap hobby as you say are over. Take a look at my series 1 restoration for more Land Rover fun 👍
