Hi Bob and Jenny a great video and thank you for taking us around that wonderful museum with you I must visit the next time we go up to Scotland my granny’s (dads mom) family the Robertsons are from the area around Blair atholl and rannoch moor and were forced off their land in the clearances so headed south eventually to the midlands My other granny’s family the Moys had a very similar journey from around Loch Moy near Inverness so the highlands are important to us as a family Do check out the falls of bruar they are beautiful and also Pitlochry you can see the ancient Robertson oak which is the heart of the clan it’s opposite Bells distillery and the salmon walk is lovely as well hope you are both feeling better Daniel
Hi Bob, Jenny and Poppy, ooh a lovely look around the museum. There was something for everyone in the museum, thank you for showing us around x Julie and Tonyx
Another great vlog Bob and Jenny. If you have time try House of Bruar for a unique Scottish shopping experience . It is a great day out . Thanks for sharing your adventures we all love what you do 🏴🏴
The Atholl Country Museum looks interesting, giving an insight into life in the old days. I didn’t manage to visit it when last in the area. I would recommend a visit to the House of Bruar. It has several shops selling clothes etc. The restaurant is pricey though. We settled for sandwiches and soft drinks the last time we were there! The Queen’s View is also worth a visit. The viewpoint gives a panoramic view over Loch Tummel and the surrounding countryside. Queen Victoria once visited it and was so taken with the view, which is why it is called the Queen’s View. Perthshire is one of the most scenic parts of Scotland, a favourite of mine. Enjoy.
Looks very interesting 😊 Never been around there , thanks for showing us round and explaining it all to us. Think Poppy may have preferred to be outside though 😂 xx
I love the museum especially the post office, I always wonder about the various people over the years that have used it and the stories they could tell. I hope you and Jenny feel better soon. I’m finally getting my camper van fixed on the 2nd of June ( it’s taken 6 weeks to get the tank and then the appointment ) . Thanks for another informative and interesting video.👍👍👍
We are currently holidaying on Shetland. If you haven't been before, give it serious consideration. The roads are absolutely superb and even the minor roads have fantastic surfaces and plenty of passing places. You really wouldn't regret it. 😊
14 1/2 hours from Aberdeen, calling briefly at Kirkwall en route.......it can be choppy, but we had a very smooth crossing. Shetland is very caravan/motorhome friendly with excellent looking campsites, as well as 'wild camping' places galore. It is like a mix of Norway, Iceland, Scotland and parts of New Zealand all mixed up.....if you need any more info, please just ask. Phil.
Hi Bob, hope you both feel better soon. I think when that information sheet refers to Leclanché cells these would have been a type of early wet cell battery which I think would have powered those telephones before electricity powered them
What a great museum loved the post office, & all the rest very interesting 😊

Thanks, we didn't get time to get to the falls, perhaps next time.
Wow, throughly enjoyed the video, such a homely museum and the amazing views. Many thanks for having me along. Take care.
Looks a really fascinating museum and better still that Poppy could join you. Take care Gill
Scotland is so beautiful x
That museum was loaded with artefacts and full of interesting nostalgia. Good to see the local history. 👍🏻 Trev
