I remember when Jin and Jimin actually asked to the CEO to change the high note because it was difficult for them, the CEO rejected so they worked harder to do that note. Even if this is pre-recorded they still recorded that LIVE when it was really hard for them. They are such amazing vocalist. It was a mindblown because they did it live while dancing in their first stage in BBMAs. Btw I prefer Jimin's voice (still prefer his low tone than high notes). Even RM said Jimin carried Fake Love with his voice. There is something, the way he express the song is just pure art.
I actually love both jin and jimin part and I really dont prefer neither over other , especially cuz they change it in the concert, in concerts and other live version they approach it totally different ,but since u mentioned about jimin ,I have to mention KMA did specifically mentioned jin's part and high notes and emotions when the fake love won song of the year so we dont disregard this cuz its very big :)

Korean Grammy counterpart, when they awarded "Fake Love" as their 2019 Song of the Year. They said the way Jin sang it made them believe in the "fakeness" of love. Jin is a Theater & Film major graduate, so of course he always sings with "emotional ardency," again praised by the KMA, like when he sang "Epiphany."
I totally agree about V, and tbh all the members , bts wouldnt be this big without any of them but first V then jimin and then jin have this unique tone that u cant find that easily . specially V and jimin . but then there is jk who kinda blend every different tone together I think their balance is perfect.
I like jimins bright voice here. Jin has a very distinct voice that I love. They (bighit) didn’t preview V’s before their debut. Bighit said V was their secret weapon. He and jimin sound great together because of the high-low, but jimin and Jungkook’s harmony I think is the best.
Jiophone 2 they dont sound the same , when ppl go into their higher range it would be harder to hear that voice tone that u hear on lower notes. I can distinguish them cuz I heard them for years but I can understand when newer ppl get confused. but jin's higher range in fuller, jimin's is sharper and jk's is how to say mix of both.

But as the person above said that they use autotune to sound same I don't agree. I am a new army and can easily recognize their voices even in recording. It is difficult to recognize them sometime in falsettos but apart from that I can easily recognize them even in a song like louder than bombs i can easily recognize all the vocalists very easily.
i think in an industry where tenor voices are favored its refreshing to hear V’s unique tone. being a baritone & having a range as wide as his is so new & exciting to hear.

All vocal line members have very distinctive voices but my favourite is definitely Jimin’s. His vocal colour and tone is so unique, so sweet and so expressive that you can’t help but be mesmerised when he performs.
I love Fake Love and Jin is my bias. To be honest I think the song showcases all the members well. The Korean Music Awards said that Jin coming in the second Fake Love sells the emotion of the song. I tend to agree. But again they all sang well. Jimin always sound great to me as well.
You should see MV behind the scenes awesome vocals are expected when it comes to BTS.... But this MV itself is on another level... They did not use any CGI in the whole production ... everything was done on spot ....
I almost wish you’d search around and listen to the beginnings of live performances first just so you’d find the videos where their backing track isn’t as loud and you can actually hear them. Just so you’d be getting more out of these reactions yourself. I always cringe when we say “BTS is terrible at lip syncing” because let’s be real to ourselves, they don’t sing live every single time and even then, sometimes the backing track is too overwhelming. As always, avoid music show performances, 9 times out of 10 you’ll never hear them. For this specific song, a good performance to have checked out would be their Fake Love performance on Ellen. You can actually hear them and the backing track is quite low, so be prepared to bear it all. You hear everything and Jimin actually goes for the high notes which is nice. You hear their flaws, but it’s fine, they’re human and the choreography is tough. Crazy to hear that this is your first time listening to this song, if it is.
lol no, they use back tracks yes and sometimes louder examples on the encores in concerts when they are exhausted , but they are bad at lip syncing , especially some members , u will know when they try , jin literally stop moving his lips on parts with loud backtracks like mic drop on SNL. the parts that had back track on his part he was so obvious that many non fans thought he messed up while all the vocal line dont sing that part cuz its part of fan chant too , jimin did try to lip sync a few times specially on heavily choreographed parts but he always move his lips so little that it make it obvious and they always expose themselves when they try , and fake love on ellen isnt good at all, they were exhausted , jimin couldnt even breath probably . he isnt like that all the time live.
hanana na I don’t know about you, but I don’t think there was anything wrong with their Ellen Fake Love performance. They struggle at parts, but what can you expect with choreography like that, and because the backing track is so low, you hear it all. Big props to Jimin for tackling those high notes _with choreography_ because he usually avoids them, even during encore stages where they’re not even dancing. I listed that performance as a good example to listen to because Adam is a vocal coach. I’m sure he’d be much more interested in reacting to a performance where you hear as much of their voices as possible, rather than their backing tracks. Regarding Jin being “bad at lip syncing,” in the SNL example, he didn’t even have the mic up to his face. I don’t think that it’s because he’s bad at lip syncing, I just think he’s not trying to hide the fact that he’s not singing and he’s openly letting the track take over for that part. And he does that a lot. Forgive me, but I can’t help but cringe when we say “BTS always sings live, they’re bad at lip syncing lOL.” When we constantly say stuff like this, to me it makes us look overconfident in them. We don’t need to make excuses for them if they trip up. They’re human, they’re not perfect singers. Regarding Jimin and how “he isn’t like that all the time live,” well... this is the controversial part of my opinion, so be warned. He isn’t always incredibly stable live, especially as of late. I don’t know what happened, but recently his voice has been pretty shaky during performances. Even in Truth Untold performances where they’re standing, some notes are kind of shaky. Maybe it’s his stylistic touches and not necessarily unstableness or “poor” singing, but at the very least, he doesn’t always sound as smooth as the studio audio in live stages. Whatever it is, I kind of feel bad for him because I know how insecure he can get about his voice and any mistakes he makes. Just hope he gets what he needs.
the channel BTS! LIVE, I think, has the best live performances videos out there, I think they get it from the DVDs or something but they always sound super clear and most of the times there are no backing tracks cuz concert environments are much more comfortable totally agree with you
ellen's wasnt the first time they did this choero , it wasnt cuz of choero they couldnt breath normally , when they go to US they go to shows and interviews back to back after they land while being jet lagged , non of their US performances is like they always do in SK, cuz they are always exhausted. u can see at james how jimin and hobi just laid down on the floor after some work out which wasnt isnt that much compare to their choeros and practices. about jin thats the point jin dont even get the mic close to his mouth when there is back track , exactly thats the point , he shows there is loud back track when there is, like epiphany there is a part he doesnt sing and he get his mic away from his face always. I never said they always sing live, well tbh jin and jk always do, maybe just a few words that might overlap with other words , and if there is loud back track jin put the mic away confidently showing there is a back track, being bad at lip syncing is another thing , jimin and tae do try it sometimes but u will know cuz they dont do a good job with it, jimin dont even move his mouth properly when he try to lip sync. example KBS 2019 serendipity. not all parts some parts. he was so obvious. thats what being bad at lip syncing mean . look I am not here defending blindly , I know they arent perfect, I know jimin isnt the most stable member , he still isnt but he isnt like before, u dont see him crack, he is more confident , yes his voice is sometimes shaky but I think thats cuz his cords are exhausted, still its not like before , he always push his voice its natural. he was given the lead vocal position and everyone thought its just natural to want him to always be perfect , he always getting hate for his live vocal performances many are just overreacting, he isnt that bad srsly, his live vocal is good any singer might make mistakes its natural he doesnt need to be perfect. he improved very much and its great. he is a good vocalist now . I always watch all their concerts live I noticed jimin barely did any big mistake in the previous tour , he was good, in the new comeback u can see how good he was too, he just should stop overusing his high register.
I think you do better day by day to recognise who is singing by their voice although sometimes you make mistakes. But, everyone can make mistake. Even we, who always listen to their song, when they come with new song, we can make mistake to identify who is sing that part. Yeah I always thought that Taehyung’s (V) vocals bring a certain uniqueness in their songs. In k-pop baritones are a rare breed and unfortunately not appreciated enough

Well, asking ARMYs which voice they prefer is like asking a kid what they want right now: a cake or an icecream xD BTS is very good at contrasting voices, which gives the depth to any song. When you see the mark "Mnet", the stage usually is pre-recorded, you can check the "[BTS - Blood Sweat & Tears] Comeback Stage | M COUNTDOWN 161013 EP.496" That one too. For what I heard is bc Mnet wants to prevent accident, artists are not allowed to perform live during the first round of comeback events in Mnet. During this stage, BTS are doing actual dancing with big screen and ARMY were watching both live stage and pre-recorded video at the same time, that's why you don't see JK's abs but ARMY still scream bc JK did lift his shirt on the live stage.

It is a connect story that goes thought majority of their mvs. It also explains into shortflims,short stories and now even webtoon (plus blog, photos etc etc.) Everything connects with the builds upon each other with sometimes layers on layers of symbolism (the whole Wings era < that was their album at the time- since they still continue the story, but intertwined it also with the content of the 1919 novel 'Demain' by Herman Hesse,which itself build upon Jungian psychology. Plus symbolism taken from mythology and art) The Snickers are actually the visualization of the Trauma Jhope (his character) suffered when his mother abandoned him at an amusement park(that's why you also see all these scenes/parts of a merry-go-round in the room/backround)leaving only a chocolate bar behind. He is trapped inside his own head in this scene with no way out. In the extended/Rocking Vibe Version he gets swallowed by the mountain of candy bars. EVERY SINGLE SETPIECE IS CONNECTED TO PARTS OF THE STORYLINE. (Nothing is there just to look good, even though it does.) i think in an industry where tenor voices are favored its refreshing to hear V’s unique tone. being a baritone & having a range as wide as his is so new & exciting to hear.

All vocal line members have very distinctive voices but my favourite is definitely Jimin’s. His vocal colour and tone is so unique, so sweet and so expressive that you can’t help but be mesmerised when he performs.
I love Fake Love and Jin is my bias. To be honest I think the song showcases all the members well. The Korean Music Awards said that Jin coming in the second Fake Love sells the emotion of the song. I tend to agree. But again they all sang well. Jimin always sound great to me as well.

I almost wish you’d search around and listen to the beginnings of live performances first just so you’d find the videos where their backing track isn’t as loud and you can actually hear them. Just so you’d be getting more out of these reactions yourself. I always cringe when we say “BTS is terrible at lip syncing” because let’s be real to ourselves, they don’t sing live every single time and even then, sometimes the backing track is too overwhelming. As always, avoid music show performances, 9 times out of 10 you’ll never hear them.
For this specific song, a good performance to have checked out would be their Fake Love performance on Ellen. You can actually hear them and the backing track is quite low, so be prepared to bear it all. You hear everything and Jimin actually goes for the high notes which is nice. You hear their flaws, but it’s fine, they’re human and the choreography is tough. Crazy to hear that this is your first time listening to this song, if it is.
lol no, they use back tracks yes and sometimes louder examples on the encores in concerts when they are exhausted , but they are bad at lip syncing , especially some members , u will know when they try , jin literally stop moving his lips on parts with loud backtracks like mic drop on SNL. the parts that had back track on his part he was so obvious that many non fans thought he messed up while all the vocal line dont sing that part cuz its part of fan chant too , jimin did try to lip sync a few times specially on heavily choreographed parts but he always move his lips so little that it make it obvious and they always expose themselves when they try , and fake love on ellen isnt good at all, they were exhausted , jimin couldnt even breath probably . he isnt like that all the time live.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think there was anything wrong with their Ellen Fake Love performance. They struggle at parts, but what can you expect with choreography like that, and because the backing track is so low, you hear it all. Big props to Jimin for tackling those high notes _with choreography_ because he usually avoids them, even during encore stages where they’re not even dancing.
I listed that performance as a good example to listen to because Adam is a vocal coach. I’m sure he’d be much more interested in reacting to a performance where you hear as much of their voices as possible, rather than their backing tracks.
Regarding Jin being “bad at lip syncing,” in the SNL example, he didn’t even have the mic up to his face. I don’t think that it’s because he’s bad at lip syncing, I just think he’s not trying to hide the fact that he’s not singing and he’s openly letting the track take over for that part. And he does that a lot. Forgive me, but I can’t help but cringe when we say “BTS always sings live, they’re bad at lip syncing lOL.” When we constantly say stuff like this, to me it makes us look overconfident in them. We don’t need to make excuses for them if they trip up. They’re human, they’re not perfect singers.
Regarding Jimin and how “he isn’t like that all the time live,” well... this is the controversial part of my opinion, so be warned. He isn’t always incredibly stable live, especially as of late. I don’t know what happened, but recently his voice has been pretty shaky during performances. Even in Truth Untold performances where they’re standing, some notes are kind of shaky. Maybe it’s his stylistic touches and not necessarily unstableness or “poor” singing, but at the very least, he doesn’t always sound as smooth as the studio audio in live stages. Whatever it is, I kind of feel bad for him because I know how insecure he can get about his voice and any mistakes he makes. Just hope he gets what he needs.
the channel BTS! LIVE, I think, has the best live performances videos out there, I think they get it from the DVDs or something but they always sound super clear and most of the times there are no backing tracks cuz concert environments are much more comfortable

ellen's wasnt the first time they did this choero , it wasnt cuz of choero they couldnt breath normally , when they go to US they go to shows and interviews back to back after they land while being jet lagged , non of their US performances is like they always do in SK, cuz they are always exhausted. u can see at james how jimin and hobi just laid down on the floor after some work out which wasnt isnt that much compare to their choeros and practices.
about jin thats the point jin dont even get the mic close to his mouth when there is back track , exactly thats the point , he shows there is loud back track when there is, like epiphany there is a part he doesnt sing and he get his mic away from his face always. I never said they always sing live, well tbh jin and jk always do, maybe just a few words that might overlap with other words , and if there is loud back track jin put the mic away confidently showing there is a back track, being bad at lip syncing is another thing , jimin and tae do try it sometimes but u will know cuz they dont do a good job with it, jimin dont even move his mouth properly when he try to lip sync. example KBS 2019 serendipity. not all parts some parts. he was so obvious. thats what being bad at lip syncing mean .
look I am not here defending blindly , I know they arent perfect, I know jimin isnt the most stable member , he still isnt but he isnt like before, u dont see him crack, he is more confident , yes his voice is sometimes shaky but I think thats cuz his cords are exhausted, still its not like before , he always push his voice its natural. he was given the lead vocal position and everyone thought its just natural to want him to always be perfect , he always getting hate for his live vocal performances many are just overreacting, he isnt that bad srsly, his live vocal is good any singer might make mistakes its natural he doesnt need to be perfect. he improved very much and its great. he is a good vocalist now . I always watch all their concerts live I noticed jimin barely did any big mistake in the previous tour , he was good, in the new comeback u can see how good he was too, he just should stop overusing his high register.

I cant pick a favorite in this song of Jin and Jimin they both do a great job, tbh i love how each one of the guys in BTS have such distinct voice and tone to both singing and rapping and still it works so well in the songs.

So basically all the parts you smiled & said “I think it’s JK.” is all Jimin. I am having so much fun with your guessing game while analyzing their vocals. I think you are more confused because you are not using the headphones to hear more closely. I think in this song, you are unconsciously drawn to Jimin’s voice. I agree absolutely. Despite their vocal quality to be polar opposites, just having them sing together is just so so beautiful.
The fan screams in j-hope's verse is because he raps about a mirror and they put that in the choreo. If you look closely and read the lyrics, you'll see that they're mirroring each other. it was such a small but brilliant addition.

Well, asking ARMYs which voice they prefer is like asking a kid what they want right now: a cake or an icecream xD BTS is very good at contrasting voices, which gives the depth to any song. For what I heard is bc Mnet wants to prevent accident, artists are not allowed to perform live during the first round of comeback events in Mnet. During this stage, BTS are doing actual dancing with big screen and ARMY were watching both live stage and pre-recorded video at the same time, that's why you don't see JK's abs but ARMY still scream bc JK did lift his shirt on the live stage.

It is a connect story that goes thought majority of their mvs. It also explains into shortflims,short stories and now even webtoon (plus blog, photos etc etc.) Everything connects with the builds upon each other with sometimes layers on layers of symbolism (the whole Wings era < that was their album at the time- since they still continue the story, but intertwined it also with the content of the 1919 novel 'Demain' by Herman Hesse,which itself build upon Jungian psychology. Plus symbolism taken from mythology and art)
The Snickers are actually the visualization of the Trauma Jhope (his character) suffered when his mother abandoned him at an amusement park(that's why you also see all these scenes/parts of a merry-go-round in the room/backround)leaving only a chocolate bar behind. He is trapped inside his own head in this scene with no way out. In the extended/Rocking Vibe Version he gets swallowed by the mountain of candy bars. EVERY SINGLE SETPIECE IS CONNECTED TO PARTS OF THE STORYLINE. (Nothing is there just to look good, even though it does.)
'FAKE LOVE' could be considered as a love song about a bad relationship, but it also connects to their story in which they prior to it exchanged(in the tralier leading up to the MV) Their fears/Trauma's for things that make them happy, is all behind FAKE LOVE.

His own self-hatred prevented him from facing her. If he had done so he might have been about to help her by providing medicine etc. So all that is left if you hide your true self from the world at the is regret.
The whole album is called 'Love Yourself' (3 albums) which carries the message that first need to love yourself despite everything that you might prevent you from it,to be able to love other. If you try to build your life on mask and lies that is left is regret.
