I've been thinking maybe an improvised crusher or something like that, such an odd find. It's gonna drive me crazy... there's no way it's part of a car right?
The MRDS records indicate the mine was active in 1899 so its certainly possible that at some point the 1930s or 40s a miner hiked some automotive parts up there to try something new or maybe as a quick fix bracket for something. This is the stuff I love about mining history it makes you think 🤠⛏️🌲💯🍻
