Great job! One of my all time favorite Madness songs. Mike Barson is easily underrated in authoring some of most interesting songs with phrasing and chords that evoke odd emotions. It's signature Madness. In some ways Madness is because of Mike.
+Karl X Thank you Karl. Yeah you are spot on with what you said about Mike. There wouldn`t be any Madness without him. It was his drive & determination in the early days that made the others take rehearsing seriously.
Superb. My favourite Madness song. How hard was it not to try and to break into some of the brass parts? And it's a great keyboard song, considering it was Chrissy and Suggs what wrote it.
Great work, one of my most listened to song of all time. Don't even think it was a Hit but you sir can clear see what a masterpiece. I need to sit down and find out what the did and what you are doing.
Hi Eric, firstly may I say being a huge `No Doubt` fan, it was a real pleasure to see this comment from you. Thank you for your kind words. My tutorial video ua-cam.com/video/wn31mPS8VbY/v-deo.html should show you clearly what Mike Barson plays on this track. (I spend ages working out Mike`s keyboard parts & I won`t make a video unless i`m absolutely sure i`ve got it all & it`s correct). This brilliant song was never released as a single, it was a track on the `Rise And Fall` album released here in the UK in October 1982. (I don`t know when or if this album was ever released in the States?). I hope this helps you :o)
+CraftyRatman Thank you. Unfortunately I play by ear but if you go online & type in retro-madness.co.uk/printed.php & scroll down about halfway to songbooks you`ll see the Rise & Fall songbook. I think this is the only place you`ll definately find the sheet music for this song.
Love the sound of your ketboards cheers
