Came to check the comments to see if anyone else was thinking the same thing. There's a reason why snook are so protected in Florida (need a special permit, closed seasons, tight slot sizes, limit of 1 a day, etc). Stuff like this makes my blood boil. If you can't have a little respect for nature, maybe you should find a different hobby..
We were suppose to be in a rental on Sebastian River near the inlet this weekend catching snook but Irma was an uninvited guest. What tackle did you use? When you describe the taste, can you compare it to other fish? The thickness looked like King or trigger but it didn't look as dense after you broke it. Thanks for the snook vid.
Omg that looks so good. I saw the eggs and the breading. Was there any other ingredients in the breading? Also was it store brought breading r home made? Thanks
He takes so much time on his videoos even if there is a category 5 hurrican coming Now thats a guy who loves his viewers Board up ur windows and stay safe man
Wow the meat exactly like seabass like barramudi in the east. They have similar life cycle too like to stay in canal and river with freshwater. With aerial jump when hooked lol.
Snook and cobia are my two favorite fish to eat. We used to slam them when I lived down there and your video just made me want to take a trip south to hook a few. Good job and keep it up. PS you really should try snook grilled with garlic butter and a little cayenne pepper. that's the ticket I promise
The Haitians used to buy all the blue runner we could catch for a few bucks each. Its a garbage fish, but they said they make good fish soup. I've never been brave enough to try it. Smells like cat food when it's cooked
There comes the catch and release puritan,i personally don't see anything wrong with taking a fish to eat just dont abuse and take more than what you going to eat
Maybe tell your friend to stop digging up in the gills of the fish he handles and maybe try not to belly flop the fish on release. I know fish are resilient but if you don't take special care there is a pretty high chance of killing them for no reason.....
I had Red Snapper with red sauce at Bonefish last night. Only problem, red snapper was really tilapia. First clue, they covered the fish in sauce. Second clue, It was so thin. Third clue, Tasted like fishy tilapia. It was not that bad, just fishy tasting and bait and switch.
what the hell you guys eat in there? i cant belive how many catch and cook i see like if you where eating a poison fish or something, i cant belive or its hard to me to belive the reaction to eat snook, there are so delicious fish and you guys are awere of that now?jejejejejje ... nice video friend.-

Snook are pretty tough fish.... until the water temperature drops .5 degrees that is
I can't belive you opened up the stomach right on top of the meat to eat

How about a walleye catch n cook? Not sure if you have them in Florida, but they're good eating from Lake Ontario
That other guy treated snook and probably all fish like crap, slamming the huge snook bag into the water and landing the fish onto the pier
Having some right now. Called robalo here in the west coast. Try it beer battered with some cajun seasoning and garlic.

Another great vid👌
From my understanding you need to be sure you skin them before cooking. Otherwise they'll taste soapy.
