There’s one guy who has single-handedly dominated the charts, and you’ve probably never heard of him - and you definitely won’t recognize him. This is the story of Max Martin, the legendary songwriter who has written some of the biggest hits of the last 20 years, such as “Hit Me Baby One More Time”, “Blinding Lights”, and “Blank Space”.

Max is a god. He has been influencing the industry since the early 90's. He doesn't get anywhere near as much credit as he deserves.
While it doesn't bother me that artists don't write their own music, I do wish the songwriters were lifted up more and given more appreciation. Most songwriting, like lots many creative processes, is a team effort.
I've never written a song in my life, so it's just my guess, but I think anyone who works behind the scenes in creative markets is quite happy to be unknown, no matter how great geniuses they are.
Max Martin didn't want fame, he shied away from it. He saw how it affected the artists and didn't want it.
Is Max Martin the most successful yet least famous person in the music industry, or maybe even the world?

I heard a guy named theodor adorno wrote all the beatles music.
So this is the guy responsible for my bleeding ears.
And why the so called music sounds like the same monotonous garbage. A very astute young British gentleman has a great explanation on how the industry took away the listening audience's vote by 1995.
Um you had forgotten 2 more songs that he made that hit #1 save your tears and my universe the latter is really coincidental that he got his start with the biggest boyband back in the 2000's and now he created the latter for the biggest boyband now
oh and coldplay is just as big so this is a nice twist
In other words: all those pop "artists" are no better than Milli Vanili when it comes to creativity. They just sing, and even that with auto-tune. He's the actual artist...
I'd argue that it still takes talent to be able to sing like them, but yes, I don't think of them as nearly as talented as Max.
