During his loan his daughter was born in Portsmouth, he liked the city and the fans loved him so much, he didn't want to go but a loan spell must end. It was sad to see Andres leave
What a player!
He was wasn’t he..

No way how mad I love stories like this Argentinian international playing for Wolfsburg but will always have a love for Portsmouth mad isn't it
@@philleotardo8923 🤩🤩
Imagine just chilling in a pub with this guy listening to his stories 🤩
We did 🤣
@@IrishFootballFanTV 🤣 fair play.
Just make some stories up yourself, that’s all Harry does anyway.
Harry or Andres
When Harry tells stories they seem so real unlike Jay from Inbetweeners 😂
Was at this bolton game. Hands down best debut ive ever seen
Couldn't handle Big Sam
Champ manager 01/02 he was always one of my first buys.
Unbelievable player 🙌🏼
The earlier LMA Managers too
I was going to make this comment his long shots were crazy
Those were the days
👏🏼👏🏼
I will never forget Andres D'allesandro... U20 World Cup in Argentina.. Played Ghana in the final... He tore us apart along with Romangnioli, maxi Rodriguez, Mauro Rosales and Saviola....
Serious player
D'Alessandro was one of my favorite players when i was younger. Like Pablo Aimar, Juan Riquelme, Marcelo Gallardo, Rui Costa, etc. #10 Playmakers were our favorite in Portugal. Not even entering the Myths Level like Maradona or Ronaldinho Gaúcho.
Best Regards from Portugal ❤🇵🇹
It's unfortunately a dying art that specialist #10
@@IrishFootballFanTV I agree. It has to be with the evolution of tactics too. I'm a 1980 generation guy. Played Football Manager since the start of it. Back in the days almost every English Football teams played in 4:4:2. I guess the great majority of teams in the World played like that. But not Ajax. Ajax influenced a lot of Teams with that 4:2:3:1 where numbers made sense. 8 and 6 in Middlefield. 11 (Left) 10 (Center) and 7 (Right) supporting the 9. I always played it with one team in each Country of the Top-5 leagues and with that tactic. And it was hard to get an English Midfielder for that #10 Position. I always played with ManUtd in those days so my Midfield would be 8 (Gerrard) 6 (Roy Keane) 11 (Giggs) 10 (Joe Cole) 7 (Beckham) 9 (Shearer). Unbeatable 😂 Joe Cole was much better in the game than in real life 😂 But i'd ended up always bringing some Gallardo or D'Alessandro to that position. Actually SL Benfica just bought Orkun Kökçü from Feyenoord for 30M that is gonna wear the #10 next season and although he's a Box to Box type of Midfielder he has some of those Ancient #10 qualities like Rui Costa and Pablo Aimar did. By far the best #10 players SL Benfica ever had.
@brixcosmo6849 I respect you sir 🙌🏼
Some proper ballers you mentioned there lol
@@IrishFootballFanTV No it's not. MGW played every game for Forest in that position this season and got our player of the season. In the same year Messi won the World Cup. The likes of De bruyne, Fernández, Bernardo Silva don't believe it's a dying art.
I'm Jamaica he's one of my favorite Argentina, remember when he was at river plate ,jus a mestro want him at united
Quality bro ❤️
One of the best players we've ever had.
N🤣🤣👌🏼
He scored one goal for you?😂😊
@@davidwust5093 football isn’t just about scoring, it’s about creating
@davidwust5093 yeah so? He was a fan favourite at one stage but was a pretty short stint with us. Shame really.
ER Sir Sol Campbell was one of your best players 🤣🤣🤣🤣
One of the most underrated players ever

He was one of my go to signings in Championship Manager back in the day
Unbelievable
Yep same here 😂
@@IrishFootballFanTVHarry Redknapp is box office and a must have on every deadline day show.
Going to sign him now in Fifa 09 for ac milan
I remember signing this guy after work permit issues always for my liverpool team in cm0102. The best along with gk costanzo and young cavenaghi and course riquelme from boca
Unreal 👏🏼👏🏼
Costanzo and a Greek keeper dionis chiotis were gems
He was a good player, could turn a game on his own, world class on his day.
Unbelievable
If you know you know…that boy was a wizard I remember sitting in my nans lounge watching motd n dlessandro just balling out

He was fantastic for us that season. Him and mendes kept us up that year

That's what I always say Mendes and Alessandro saved Pompey from relegation.
Played for River plate 18;years ago saw him when lived there worked
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
FM wonderkid back in the day
Top class
Champ manager back then
Signed him
All the time when i was younger on championship manager
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 he was the dream
I remember him in River when he started. He became an Internacional do Porto Alegre legend.
Class player
I was playing football manager on my computer as a 15 year old and while scouting for talent i discovered 2 young players that i couldn't pronounce their names but ratings were top on such young players so i bought them. After few months Real Madrid bought one it was Robinho and other one was D Alessandro .
❤️❤️
I was at the game against Bolton and every game I went to with him on the pitch was jaw dropping , he made ronaldo look silly and arsenals back line look basic , by far the best talent that Portsmouth lost I rate him higher than lassana diarra , Defoe and glen Johnson combined , if premier league fans don’t remember him then you failed to witness a gem
What a player
I was at that game but kind of hard to notice a shadow behind Jay-Jay Okocha....
An absolute FM legend too!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Always bought him in football manager was a brilliant little player

What a player
👏🏼👏🏼
Not even a Portsmouth fan but i remember watching this lad great great player
Yeah he was fantastic
I used to love D’Alessandro, I wanted Portsmouth to stay up that year and keep a hold of him. I think he ended up at Real Zaragoza in the end, great player!
🇮🇪🇮🇪👍🏻🙏🏼
This lad was amazing on championship manager. Had him before Harry 😂
🙌🏼
Superb on 01/02.
I remember watching him at River Plate on late night TV. He was such a talent. Such an aggressive skillful player. There was a Man Utd fans question to Sir Alex competition going on at the time so my question was to ask Sir Alex what he thought of him because I think he'd be amazing at United (heard nothing back). I was a teenager with an excitement I was working as a scout for Sir Alex 😂
👏🏼👏🏼
Legend
👏🏼👏🏼
Can't remember which Championship manager it was when this guy still played in Argentina but he was ridiculous. My first signing every time.
River Plate I think
wonderful player...like so many other argentine gems over the years

He was quality
Great on Football Manager

He was mint on Football Manager 2005
Unbelievable Jeff
Champ Manager legend he was.
Yesssss
Fantastic player. In terms of skill the second best player I've ever seen in a Pompey shirt after the maestro that was Robert Prosinecki.
He was quality

I recall a Spanish reporter approaching Harry one morning and saying 'Harry, Buen día'.
Harry replied, 'Yeah triffic playa. I signed him from Mar-bella'. 😂😂
If that's true
Thats bloody hilarious
🤣🤣🤣👏🏼
Yeah he was so good
The streets won't forget
I watched Andres rise up with River Plate and the 2001 Argentina sub20 world cup with Saviola.
Unbelievable
@@IrishFootballFanTV even as a youngster I spotted his talent from the 1st game. Same as I did with Julian Alvarez.

That name haunts me and my brother what he did to Chivas in the Libertadores Final he was an elite world class player playing in Brazil for internacional smh
Unbelievable 👌🏼
A Spanish reporter once said to 'Arry "Buenos Dias."
Harry replied.
"Yeah. Triffic player. I signed him when I was at Portsmouth. "
One of my favorite players. Loved their under 20 team. I think he played same team with Saviolla.Amazing footballer. I am disappointed he did not play for Europes big teams.

Champ manager legend 👌

I really want to have teams like bolton stock or burnley in premier leage
😮😮
Harry.. the man who never lets the truth get in the way of a good story 😂😂
Yeah
I remember sitting in the Fratton End turning to my mate and 😂😂 holding our heads at the line ups. Think who is this idiot we’ve signed on loan. 10 mins in his debut the whole Fratton End standing. Never seen a player like him at Fratton park. Other than Diarra. Magical kid. Playing right on the tough line. Dribbling in and out of players mental he was.
He should have been signed. Also,Fratton Park was NEVER a ploughed field. It was immaculate .The HUGE mistake was Mandaric selling the club to Gaydamak.
😞
I think Harry meant that big Sam's Bolton was so aggressive they turfed up a lot of pitch with slide tackles 😂
United fan here. Wand of a left foot this lad
👏🏼👏🏼
He did.....Pompey!!!
So did you
CM4 players will know.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Scored 1 in 13 apparently
Classic Harry waffle
Did you love him?
😮😮😮
Stats mean nothing he was class , always good in posession
Harry could pick them
👏🏼👏🏼
Just shows the level of english football at the time! Andres was a good player but harry describes him like he was the second coming of maradona offs!
He was absolutely fantastic
@@IrishFootballFanTV 'fantastic' with his UNBELIEVABLE 2 assists and 1 goal in 13 games 😂
@@theperfectgift5067 i can only guess that you dont know the meaning of the world 'stupid'! Thats like saying me listing the tackling, interception and balls won in the air stats for a defender is not a way to judge their effectiveness and their worth! You must be really clever
He was absolutely world class but never achieved what his potential showed, you had Pablo Aimar, Riquelme, Gallardo an D’allessandro with Riquelme arguably the best of the bunch but not by far all four were superb very skilled players , shame they were all born in the same era they all could have been Argentinas main number 10, but D’allassandro did settle at Internacional in Brazil and won the league & cups there over a 12 year stay he’s an icon of the club, Falcao the Legendary Brazilian midfielder played for Internacional.
Right Proper Geezer I'm down the nags head having a right proper cheese ham sandwich with a pint of Guinness beautiful .
👏🏼👏🏼🤣
Was he as good as Benjani? He could do a job even today. 😂
👏🏼👏🏼
I've got little skinny legs too, I must be a genius😂
Ha
His got stories for days lol
He does indeed
South American players can handle Bolton
👏🏼👏🏼
Yo Harry tell me the story about the Dutch striker Marco Boogers that you signed 😂😂😂😂
🤔
@@IrishFootballFanTV when Harry Redknapp was manager of West Ham he sent one of his scouts to Holland to look for a striker & he came back with a VHS tape of a guy called Marco Boogers.... This guy could certainly hit the back of the net but that all the video shown.... It left out the fact he'd been sent off 3 times already during 95/96 season.... One for punching a referee, one for headbutting & one for fighting with the club mascot who ridiculed him for missing an open net & being subbed ( it was like Ace Ventura fighting with the parrot 😂) but come his debut for the hammer & 33 seconds later & he was sent off 😂 he later was sectioned to a mental hospital 😢
Diarra was the best player to wear a pompey shirt
👏🏼
Looks like he's in a old person's home
In a hotel
