It's been so hard lately to pull myself out of despair and panic spirals, but I think saying a cheerful "thank you, brain!" throughout the day is a good start for me.
I also understand it is hard, I had a pain specialist Friday tell me I need a few different types of nerve blocks then plasma blood platelets injection a set of 3 also. I don't have insurance so it would cost me literally thousands, she said if I don't do something about it I'll only get worse. Then there is a chance I could end up worse after the nerve blocks like I already had happen, I can't take pain killers as they make migraines worse. So panicking and so afraid.
"Breathe in the accurate knowledge...breathe out the doubt. Breathe in the confidence...exhale the fear." Best mantra ever. Gotta remember this. It is a jewel. Thanks!
I had a concussion over 3 years ago. 3 clear brain scans since then, including an MRI so I know it's TMS. I did your assessments and scored highly. Working on it.
As a person who has rescued several dogs that have come from a background of abuse, I like an analogy you gave one time of treating ourselves as we would an abused dog. Teaching ourselves, our scared brain, that we are safe and can be trusted a little bit more day by day with calm consistency. ❤
Vomit is a real thing. I ended up having a hysterectomy and later had all of my pelvic veins embolized. Zero change. I'm so thankful the spinal neurosurgeon told me that my symptoms were absolutely not caused by my herniated disk. I am grateful I did not end up with a spinal surgery to add onto the list. I only started getting better after I was able to finally stop. Stopped searching for a physical cause and started focusing on the state of my nervous system and the things that were occurring in my life when symptoms began.
Hi Dan my girlfriend came to visit me today from out of town and we talked about TMS and I let her listen to you and she got all emotional and she is going to follow you so good 😁 she also got some TMS sensations 😊. So ty Dan for always being there for us and excellent video love you ❤❤❤
Thank you Dan! This was awesome! Explained so well. I needed to calmly hear Step 2 today (V.O.M.I.T. situation 😊) and here you are again with perfect timing. Have a good day to all. ❤
Thanks Dan. Thought I was ‘cured’ but then went out with a very fearful friend for coffee and symptoms came back! This video helped. Feel like I’m back to square one but of course I know that’s not the case. Patience I guess and following your teaching 👍
Reset - KNOW you are okay. Even though it kinda sucks to have symptoms again, that is PROOF that your body is fine and it's fear/perceived danger creating the symptoms. Get your certainty and mindset back to where it was when feeling well and you will be feeling well again.
Think I need to redo the assessments Dan... the medical professionals have really done a number on my scared brain recently, insisting I have a life threatening issue, then saying its ok, only to be told again that it's a big problem. And because I am the kind of person that trusts what they tell me to be the truth, I'm continuing the perception of danger. Relapses and new symptoms are tough, it can feel like a dead end, but I know it will resolve again if I carry on gently and calmly doing the 'work'. ❤
I did the test and scored over 40. I did a blood test last week and they found typhoid fever and now they say that's what's causing all my over 50 symptoms. I've had these symptoms after a heat stroke about 3 months ago and can't get my life back. It's been so tough
OK - according to the internet, With treatment, symptoms of typhoid fever should improve within 3-5 days. If they don't resolve with treatment, then your brains perception of danger is creating the symptoms. That's good news too because the concepts I teach will eliminate the symptoms. This is very common. Your brain is playing tricks on you. Observe it but don't react- it is another false signal- fire detector gone awry. I lived through this for 2 years before I finally learned to accept that this was what was really going on... nope, not dying...just getting changing bad messages from my brain. The sooner you accept that this is what is going on, the faster you will get out of this mess.

Hello dan can you make a video especially fir the relapses and how to rewire the brain during relapses ? Thank you maybe i can laugh on my symptoms and breathe out more than i breathe in ?
What about intrusive thoughts and nightmares that accompany new unbearable physical symptoms? If new physical symptoms come on and everything is ruled out, and the thoughts are only present when the physical symptoms are, is this more proof of TMS, since thoughts and nightmares are brain? It’s not the pain of the symptoms causing the thought- they are literally co-existing.
I understand I struggle with this too there's a Fear Factor there I believe we still have to teach the brain and the subconscious that we are safe we're not in danger intrusive thoughts I believe is a form of anxiety and having nightmares is a sign or some kind of fear or danger going on my nightmares are getting a little bit better I don't have them as frequently but I still struggle with racing thoughts at least I'm aware of them and meditation helps as long as you put these principles into practice I believe we can get better❤🙏
Hey Dan, I have a question. Since I see it in myself and it's a fact that recovery from TMS is nonlinear, I was wondering, does that mean the symptoms will go up and down, and then one day they'll just disappear, or will they gradually decrease, or how does it work?
to chime in with my experience, it really varied. I had a LOT of different types of pain/symptoms. as soon as I internalized an understanding of TMS, some things just dropped right out of my life and never came back, not even slightly! sometimes other things resurface slightly, just from the memory of what they used to be like, and then when I catch it I'm like, 'hey, you're alright now! nothing's wrong.' and it just disappears right away 😆 other things, notably the things that were scariest for me, I feel very faintly sometimes, a bit more frequently - I think because of how deeply the impression of fear was burned into my subconscious. I imagine I could erase them completely if I went 'deeper' in there. but usually reassuring myself is enough for them to be soothed and ease up! a good 99% of the symptoms are gone from them, anyway, which means 99% of it was coming from how I was thinking about it all. sometimes I get pains that seem to be triggered by emotional/life stress factors, but I know the pain doesn't really 'need' to be happening then, either, so for now I just wait for it to pass, take care of the feelings the best I can, and ride out the storm. even with the occasional pain, it's SO much better without all the panic and fear that it'll be something I'm 'stuck' dealing with forever. wishing you the best!
@@deniseealy4253 for some things, literally just a couple of days! I realized it didn't make sense for them to feel the way they did, and they dropped away automatically. for other things, it took a couple of weeks - maximum a month, as I gradually reassured myself into a different way of thinking about them. I was prepared for it to take a lot longer, so I really surprised myself 😆😆 I think of it less as a 'recovery' because now I'm confident in saying that there was never anything 'wrong' with me. I still get the occasional residual symptom, but I'm not scared when I get them any more, so they're not too bad, they don't last long, and they don't effect my quality of life. Dan's videos were a HUGE help through this whole process. 😊
Hello Dan, I want to ask you about a particular symptom that remains scary because I didn't found someone with similar sensations : Sciatica pain ( the feeling of tension around my right glute, diffusing tremors in my ischio and if it's so tense my neck aways on the right side becomes tense in the trapezius area, the day after my soles are painful) all those feelings give me dizziness full head feeling..and there's no explanation for this.
I had sciatica for 13 years. None for the past 14 years. It's all caused by the brain perceiving danger. You don't have to figure out the danger. Focus on the solution. I covered it in this very video. My fast start playlist maps it out in more detail. DansFastStart.com
