Well thank you so much! I'm going to start by getting out the videos I was able to recover from my camera that weren't yet on the computer to be lost since nobody had a real opinion on what I should do next! I love that you guys are laid back lol. Though, at times, I wish I also had some direction too haha.
@@WorksofWhimsyCrochetCo hi. My only thought and I know zero about tubing is maybe just make a 10 minute video per day or so letting us see u choose yarn or crochet. That would keep everyone enjoying you without the pressure to make an other of content right away. Call it WOW Prep
Thank you!!! I'm glad to be back too haha. It was so weird not having a computer or doing UA-cam for a minute. Usually, even when I'm not actively uploading (because I've intentionally taken breaks before), I'm doing SOMETHING whether it's filming, editing, or just gathering video ideas lol. So to not be able to do anything was very weird. But, I did end up kind of coming to appreciating the break. Some. Still wish I didn't have to buy a brand new computer though. Expensive asf.
Me too! It's weird to get back into things. I have to re-get my bearings because I had a whole system and now it's disrupted lol. I had to like re download my end screen for videos, find and re download the sound effects I normally use, find a new song for the end screen lol. It's very weird to essentially start over lol.
Thank you! I'm just getting back up and dusting myself off and getting ready to go again essentially haha. Trying to find the positive in things, even when they suck, helps me too! So, was it fun to have to buy a new computer and a washer?... not as much as you'd think (I've been starting to get real stingy with my money in the last month, so two HUGE purchases were not ideal), but I did end up appreciating the forced break. Lord knows my anxiety doesn't always allow me to step back even when I should because I start feeling guilty because I'm not doing something I feel like I should be doing lol. But the break was nice.
I think you can just film and post. I will still watch your yarn content. Thumb drives are your friend. Think of them as your digital stitch marker. Welcome back because I missed your content. I have to break away from UA-cam sometimes. It's one giant rabbit hole to get sucked into. Mental health is so much more important.
I have an external hard drive but I was only using it when the storage on my computer got filled up because it's extra step. To move content just from the memory card onto the computer already takes a little while, so I like to leave it there if I can. Because if I don't, then I have to go: memory card to computer, to hard drive, back to computer when I need the video, into editor. Each of those transfers takes a few minutes so I get to feeling like I'm constantly waiting on something to upload somewhere haha.
Not to suggest closing the barn doors after the horses are out, but have you considered getting a small external drive to back up important things? One of my teachers always said “digital files that only exist in one place may as well not exist”
I do have a hard drive lol. I'm just lazy. It's an extra step to move my videos from my camera to the computer, to the hard drive, back to the computer when I'm ready for them. Of course, if I utilized the hard drive more, I wouldn't have as many issues as I'm having now, but still lol.
@@WorksofWhimsyCrochetCo I was suggesting redundancy more than only storing them on the hard drive. Copying files once a day to the drive might help in future.
That sucks but its not the worst thing in the world, even if you come on and just chat its all good. I really like authentic crocheter vlogs, not into the awful “its soooo cuuute” a zillion times sales job done by unsuccessful market people, sooo fake. Gimme some real authentic people please. You are real girl.
Aww thank you so much! I often feel like I need to be a little more peppy in my videos because so many other crochet UA-camrs are like shiny happy people and I'm over here with like too many opinions and resting b*tch face lmfao. This makes me feel better.
I really enjoy your presentations on any subject. Will patiently wait for your next cast

Sorry for all your problems, glad you are back!

@@Clairelaferret oh that's a good point. Still extra work. But definitely something to consider.

That's so frustrating...but I have faith that you got this
