Video: Bunyoro premier Owek Andrew Byakutaga Counted | Census 2024

The Prime Minister of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom Owek Andrew Byakutaga Ateenyi has been enumerated in the ongoing national housing and census exercise.
He was enumerated at his home which is located in Kaibalya cell, Kihombooza ward in Hoima west city division.
The Prime Minister responded to questions which were asked by the enumerator from Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS).
Speaking to the media shortly after the enumeration exercise, Owek. Byakutaga appealed to all the people of Bunyoro to embrace the census exercise.
He said the questions are simple and urged respondents to give accurate information to enumerators.
Owek. Byakutaga who is a Census Champion in Bunyoro region said census is important in the development of Bunyoro and Uganda in general.
Information obtained in the census exercise will be used in planning and budgeting for development programs and improving service delivery, he said.
The National Housing and Population Census will be conducted from 10th to 19th May 2024.
