UFC and MMA is a marketing gimmick it is sports entertainment so I would say don't fight UFC on their rules and terms make them have to fight you on your rules and terms
it's still not been revived into a practical martial art. think of wushu vs sanshou in chinese martial arts... most kalari is like wushu in spirit, these guys are trying to make it practical, but it hasn't reached a level of sanshou as yet.
Wait till a muay Thai or mma guy fight you. Let's see who wins then. Kalaripayattu is a weapon based martial art we can't compare it with more advanced martial arts which focuses offense with arms and legs.
Bro in ufc Or muay thai that guy makes sure he make distance...i don't think it's useless because the way the defense works like to maintain distance against enemy...and many players have been using the technique of distancing
