The 535d LCI starts at 1.735kg, the old Sportster started at 1.295kg. Even though the Sportster base-model has "only" 245hp, I think the performance of the 535d is stunning.

agreed , the bmw has like 600nm or torque ,if standard and upwards of 270hp and 2 turbos, I currently own a moded 530D and a stock 535D ,the weight isnt a issue once its moving,and you get like 400nm power from around1750rpm ,but the porsche is so much lighter.......,the 535D is actually a 530D with 2 turbos ,still a 3ltr ,but i can tell you ,whilst the bmw is solid at speed,it isnt agile below 30mph...
