TNA VIDEO. I really enjoy making these, it's just the Impact interface frustrates me. I hope to make another TNA video by the end of the month but no guarentee. The Pope was a victim of timing, with the Hogan and Bischoff partnership, alot changed. He was very entertaining and I think it's unfortunate that he never kept a place in TNA after 2011. What did you think of the Pope?
I liked the gimmick.
The pope I pray to
You show fake macho man and edited out real hogan then the jobber style went over Samoa Joe entered the mix in your Money for screenshots Drastically go down at sacrifice
Imagine The Pope with the New Day
Elijah Burke had SO much promise. He was great in the ring and could’ve been something special. Such a shame, WWE mistreated him. Truly an underrated talent.
He was great in the ring?????
The Pope was the only wrestler I remember that had charisma on the level of the Rock. I can only imagine what he would have became with the right push.
Gotta thank the guy cuz he was also the guy who inspires the rainmaker gimmick. Man hes underappreciated everywhere
@@qtips1719 okadas literal involvement in the feud
Elijah as the Pope in TNA was underrated
Very. Should’ve had a title run
Elijah Burke's theme song in WWE is legitimately one of the most underrated bangers of the Ruthless Aggression era imo
Yesss Don’t Waste My Time is🔥🔥🔥
Remember when Elijah Burke was on Ghost Hunters and, he started running from the ghost. That shit had me dying
So pure underrated talent
How this guy didn’t become a big superstar will always baffle me.
As a wrestling fan who never watched TNA u watch ur vids to somewhat understand what it was like back in the day
He was way better used in tna
Will never understand why TNA didn't pull the trigger on The Pope at Lockdown 2010? He was over like crazy and was the guy. Massive missed opportunity.
Because they had rvd coming
@@pleaseshutup7053 wasn't RVD already there?
When that iron is hot you should always strike. Pope was red hot in 2010, they should have pulled the trigger on him.
Hogan and bushoff nixed it the original plan was for him to win it. I remember reading that back in 2010
Pope definitely should've beaten AJ Styles at Lockdown. He was never the same after that loss
Was definitely one of my favorite wrestlers
Pope was a cool character he could of a big player for them but it was a solid mid card run TBH!
Elijah Burke was a bright spot in ECW although that time was short. This comment was brought to you by the only mark for both classic ECW and WWECW.
There was a few of us my friend
Add him to the list with Sonny Siaki and Monty Brown. I’m sure there are others too.
I was such a fan of the pope and Matt Morgan sucks they didn't get pushed its cool to see someone still remembers him
I fucking loved Elijah, Pope, etc the last man to wrestle Benoit, the amazing pope gimmick, I had great memories watching TNA with my friends and making fun of it during the Hogan era. But The Pope was one of the parts where we actually enjoyed watching the show without ripping on the bad writing.
Too bad that ball dropped, the character had potential, and the wrestler had a lot of years on the top that were missed out. Damn
He had so much potential to be a big star, Sad what happended.
The fact he was called The Pope is hilarious
A good run even though I was like 4 years old at the time
Love the Pope 🥺🥺🥺
To me Burke was supposed to be shelton's tag partner but nothing came from that
While watching this video, I was just sitting and thinking.. What if Benjamin and Burke did the Trick n' Melo act first lol, but should've could've would've.
Price devitt bro please
So sad cause I always liked Elijah Burke as a kid in ECW, thought he was CM Punk's biggest threat at the time. The Pope looked like such an awesome character and probably could've helped make TNA into that next big thing.
Dam you Hogan.
The Pope had far more character depth than Elijah Burke ever had.
Thank you for this video. It reminded me of how much I loved The Pope even in WWE. I’d always set his taunts and finishers on my caws in the game
His theme song was fire tho no cap
Always loved his TNA theme
I thought the pope was awesome
I Always liked Elijah Burke especially more in his time in Tna so much promise.
Totally agree dude, pro-wrestling dropped the ball with The Pope.
I’m just wishing that the more TNA content means the closer we are gonna get to see Jay Lethal’s TNA/ROH run🤞😁. Great vid as always WrestlingsPremier
This man 2009-2011 was what I love doing my Thursdays
It's crazy that he never won a title while in the company because at one point he was over as hell and they should have pulled the trigger especially because unlike RVD he would be around for more days
I always enjoyed how cole said he had 99 knockouts made him seem legit. Cm punk said he was one of the worst guys he work with very unsafe
Honestly, I wouldn't take Punk's judgment of character too seriously.
@@crowfather0249 punk worked with him and he keeps it real. But you are probably the type who wants to live in happy princess bubblegum land where everyone says nice things about everyone.
@@crowfather0249 and of course you read what you wanted. The quote was about his work not his character smh
@@pleaseshutup7053 Ah yes, immediately resort to insults. The typical behavior of a Punk fanboy. He also did an interview where he said that he was a egotistical diva backstage. Which even you as a bootlicker of his have to admit is ironic coming from him.
@@pleaseshutup7053 he said he was stiff actually
Was my favourite in TNA during that era wish we got more of him
The pope was the best thing tna had
I remember reading at lock down pope was supposed to beat aj styles for the title. Then hogan or maybe bishoff nixed it in 2010 gosh I wish they didn't hire them.
He was a missed opportunity, could have been world champion in TNA.
Pope would come to the ring and money would drop down during his entrance now Okada is doing it.
The Pope Was Something Special & Super Underrated
POPE said in an interview that if it was not for Hulk Hogan that he would have never gotten a push in TNA, he said Hogan was always a good man to him and said it was Eric and Hogan idea to give him the belt but Russo wanted to keep AJ champ.
He had so much momentum at the time. I read he was penciled in but there was too many cooks in the kitchen
@@wrestlingspremier yeah it was a mistake to force hogan, Eric and russo to work together again. I honestly liked Hogan and Eric In TNA! To bad pope never got his world title.
I heard it was the exact opposite.
@@crowfather0249 well I heard it from pope himself, not a fake newsletter
@@dmanentertament125 I heard it from MarkyD. He's usually the TNA guy. Maybe he got it mixed up or something.
Aj styles back then and now look like two different ppl
Between pope and Monty brown tna has some big missed opportunities
I was just thinking about the pope and this came in my recommended
Wonder what happened to that Okato guy???
I feel he was hitting the wall until his injury
It’s Da Pope, not The Pope
Please do Kurt Angel vs Samoa Joe feud Review
Any chance of making a Hart Dynasty video?
Wow That's Crazy!😳😳😳
i could not agree more in ecw he was wasted talent the pope got the potential as a super star lvl
Should do Abyss
Which era? Because if it's his entire TNA run, you're looking at a 2 disc DVD. And that's before they get to Joseph Park.
There was only 2 things I even liked about TNA was The Beautiful People and The Pope. TNA absolutely wasted The Pope, he should have been World Champion easily.
A TNA video? Now TNA are hiring WWE YTubers. Never knew they would go this far to hire everything WWE lol.
"What's WrestlingSupreme doing in the Impact Zone?"
Superstardom??? In TNA?... The promotion with a crowd of a few hundred
You didn’t watch tna back in the day did you?
First
It’s Da Pope, not The Pope
