I wish I could find these in the uk, the British army used to have one which was roughly the same but had small ceramic plates over your heart (which can stop rifle rounds) as well as the flak part which I have a few of but I just love the look of the PASGT vest
@@jefferydahmersglasses4771 I collect militaria, and PASGT’s vests just look awesome to me, I would never use it for actual combat, better options around now.
Great video my friend,I have learned something from this that is valuable to me....staying alive!....KEEP ON ROCKING IT!....Prepper/Homestead Workshop.........
yeah probably, its filled with layers of kevlar fabric, same stuff used in stabproof vests. although i've heard soft kevlar fabric like in the vid has a shelf life of 5 yrs so no guarentees beyond that
@@kevinfreeman3098 from a knife it would probs be fine, but Kevlar companies only guarantee their products for 5 years. Hard Kevlar bonded with glue or epoxy can last forever, just check out those old 80s pasgt helmets, still stop schrapnel. Ur right abt ceramic, only useful for one shot until it cracks. Best used for security or such

I find this very useful given current events
It's a flip of the coin if it stops a 9mm, more than likely not if from a carbine.
Can it protect you from a knife or a blunt weapon?
It could if your lucky
Kevlar should be stab proof. Blunt weapons aren't meant to break your skin so the flak jacket wouldn't help.

@@jamesangelou5171 I'd trust a ten year old Kevlar vest with multiple hits vrs multiple hits on a new ceramic, just know what I've seen in the field.
