- Matt is out in frigid weather for a solo afternoon duck hunt. The windchill was -31F with a high of -8F. Some ducks were flying and Matt was able to bag a few. It was another good day of duck hunting.

How brave you are! I am freezing just watching the movie! And I just got an almost froze bite from being badly equipped on North Carolina Creek and sound! I am looking for a full wetsuit diver equipment just in case I fall out! But seeing the frost on the birds, the "steam" rising from the running water so shallow is inspiring! A great video again showing how to make nature such a beautiful place to be, even though conditions are not good, you make it some values, effective shots ethicals and straights on the quarry, a lesson for everyone! Take care of yourself and be safe around! Brrrrrr!

We hunted during that blast 4-8 degrees in KY and the ducks only flew some in the afternoon and not a lot. Locked down we think. It is 50s now we will see if that gets them moving more.

Im watching this while hunting, birds have slowed down so just killing time. 1 hour after shooting, and I have two ring necks, and a Drake green wing. Not a bad morning. Good luck to everyone hunting!

Solid Hunt! I hunted negative temps one time, and didn’t see a bird. Still stuck it out a few hours. Man those wind chills are brutal.

Dam that’s too COLD 🥶 ! Nice double though , good shooting . When I was younger the cold didn’t bother me as much but now I just don’t think I’m that mad at them ! 😂

Congratulations on your day! Just hanging in there is an awesome accomplishment! I don't know how in the world you stuck it out. Fortunately we very rarely have days like that here in Georgia although I did hunt in 43 below including wind chill here. I found that nothing mechanical works when it's that cold! Really enjoy your videos.

How you were able to get your camera batteries to last that long is impressive.. I pheasant hunting in that, if anything I learned that I should probably just stay home in -30+ temps.

I always try and make sure to have 2 or 3 good decoys. Shells would have been great for,that spot plus not take up a lot kf room for packing or weight.

Are you using any external battery backup for your cameras at these temps? My GoPro 9 doesn't last long while doing timelapses in Alaska. Also my shotkam does not like the cold...
For my decoy cam, I am. Headcam just swapping out. Gen 4 Shotkam is better in the cold but still needs a hand warmer in extreme cold.
I live in Minnesota and duck hunting ends before the end of November, was wondering where you get to hunt until mid January? I watch all your videos there some of the best out there, I'm for the most part a lone hunter also. Nothing beats late season!
