I love this hobby very much, there's a small percentage of people out in the world that are happy when others are sad. Comics are my world and it has been for over 50 years. I'm going to continue loving them and people involved in the community of comics from around the world. Thank you Matt for mentioning this to all of us. Stay calm and comic on
I’m guilty of watching negative videos about comics over the past ten years, but the last couple years I’ve enjoyed watching collectors talk about the comics they love. That’s why now I’m watching videos like yours that inspire me to collect comics that are interesting to me and I thank you for sharing your collection
I started with comics in 1970. This is when I discovered Golden Age characters, as they were featured in reprinted stories in the back of comics. I've had a lot of collections over the years, but when I realized I was buying books just to have every issue in the series, I had to make changes. I decided that buying books with crappy stories and characters is a waste of money, (think of the X-men's C-team in the Australian outback), so I changed my focus to collecting specific issues that I enjoyed in my childhood. I'm still working to collect specific issues I saw advertised in comics in 1972. I get a thrill from buying a comic I originally had 50 years ago. I remember paying eight dollars for Action Comics #285, in the mid-80's at a small comic shop in Upstate New York.
100% with you Matt - there are comic channels out there whose every title is negative - it's click bait. I prefer positive channels like your and Allan's.
I look forward to seeing any comic. The artistic ability of the creators: writers, artist, inkers, letterers, I even enjoy looking at adds of comics that are coming out. The various teams of people that it takes to create, produce, and promote comics is more than people usually think of when they pick up a book. I agree with you Matt 100 present. Comic are toys for the imagination. Meant to be enjoyed, shared, and collected. Matt likes comics and so do I . When I was a kid other kids would come up to me and say, you gotta see the new Ironman it was cool . That's what brings enthusiasm to the hobby that gets us all excited.
If I don't like a particular book I usually say I've tried this for a few issues and it's not for me! But like you Matt I love comic books have done for 60+ years and spend miles to much on them!!
Keep the love of comics flowing Matt!

Great video and thanks for the shoutout! It's important to have these conversations and try to meet people where they're at.
Thanks for the input, bro!

people need to chill. There needs to be balance between rebelling against pushed agendas and not tearing down the hobby.
I liked this video well said
These fools need more Smurf in their lives
So you aren't thinking of changing the channel name to Matt Hates Comics any time soon then? haha
@@thegreyman nice. I might if we are talking Russell Howard.
