I have a sewing machine that I am scared to turn on but your "dresses i made this year" video gives me hope ❤ those are the kind of things i wanna sew!!!! I'm ready for my sound of music curtains to play clothes era lolol
can't wait to make this! Thanks for this tutorial ! The only this that I didn't understand is how you can sew the sides of the skirt with a zig zag stich when you have ironed the ends to the side.
Really enjoyed this video, thanks for all the info. I’d also love to see a video with some Ideas on how to use up fabric scraps. And congrats on 20.000 Subscribers 🤗
I just love your videos so much. They’re so peaceful but also so helpful! Haven’t started sewing yet but I feel like I’m already learning a lot. Thank you so much!
Hi lovely thank you for another amazing tutorial! If I wanted to line the skirt would I make two (one form lining) and sew them together when attaching the waist band?
Honestly, if it’s going to be lined, I’d recommend using a side zip and not cutting it on the bias… Bias cut dresses are meant to be light and flow and stretch with you body movements, lining it might ruin that effect. Though if it’s two light fabrics, I recommend doing it like fashion fabric=length of your desired skirt and lining fabric=shorter than your desired length
Love this video! When you cut the skirt on the 45 degree angle on the bias, did you waste much fabric? If so could you use the spare fabric for something else or not really.
Great video! And will definitely keep that linen store in mind for when it’s summer here in the UK! I do make sewing tutorials on YT too and would love to hear your feedback on how to improve 🥰
Hi! Love your videos. Is it essential to have a piece of paper to make the pattern or could you just cut the fabric straight from your measurements? I don’t have paper 😅
Is it a bias cut only if you are using linen fabric Or is it a bias cut regardless of fabric? I personally was thinking of using a loosely woven cotton fabric similar to a Muslin fabric
Love you tutorials! Is it possible to remove the sound of the sewing machine during the sped up clips? The sound is a bit like finger nails on a chalk board 😅
I love your earrings!

What stitch to use to sew the elastic with normal sewing machine?
Over cast, zigzag, any stitch known to substitute for serger
15:59 this is when she starts making the skirt
Thank you!

My delulu self thinks I can pull this off on my first try 🤠

Is the last stich you do on the elastic a straight stitch?
How much wider do you make the bottom than the hip measurement?

No of course you don't need to make a paper pattern first! I just think its handy to have a pattern in case you want to make it again in the future :)
New subscriber here ❤ from ig

Hi, how much fabric in meters did you use for both the top and the skirt?
hi! do you pre-wash your fabric before sewing?
I always thought using elastic for woven fabrics was pointless because it wasn't going to help with the elasticity
What sewing machine do you use?
Love you tutorials! Is it possible to remove the sound of the sewing machine during the sped up clips? The sound is a bit like finger nails on a chalk board 😅
😄😄 I can turn the sound down for the speed up parts in the next video
Thank you for your beautiful and easy to follow Tutorials ❤ i would also suggest to Turn it down a bit because its really loud and disturbung😅
Is satin a good fabric to make the skirt with?
Yes I think satin would look really nice :)
why wont my tape stick to the parchment paper?
I had the same issue, I just ended up super gluing my two pieces together. Hope this helps
Easily understood, nice video thank you
does this work also for heavy satin or silk??
