  • Here's a video of how I changed my rear brake pads.
PLEASE NOTICE: brakes are the single most important part of your motorcycle. Brake jobs poorly made can be dangerous, so do so at your own risk.
The copaslip paste I used is just to avoid brake noise in the future, it is not necessary for a brake change.

A tutorial on changing the brake fluid as well as the coolant would also be great

Thanks for this Excellent video! It's very useful for x max owner's. Do you also thinking of posting about valve adjustment? I can't find anything about it on UA-cam 😅. Thanks in advance 👍

I noticed that you ommitted to remove the slider bracket and clean/relube the posts? Is that unusual?

    • @bikesmith
      @bikesmith  6 місяців тому

      No, not at all.
As long as the rubber boot is in good condition and you feel the slide bracket smoothly returning to it's original place, there's nothing to be gained in doing it.

      Wow! Cheers!
My idea is mainly helping young kids, they're a different generation with a different skils set.
Scooters are very popular here, I guess the weather helps!

@@bikesmith your welcome. Your videos are thorough and show every part of the job. Technique and best practice. We as viewers could want nothing more in a "how to" video on our scooters.👍

I know, I should make more videos.
The thing is, my Xmax runs like a dream and doesn't need that much servicing.
If this youtube channel made any income (it doesn't) or I had a sponsor (I don't ) I would make far more videos, like
      Changing the clutch
      Wheel bearings
      Steering head bearings
      Brake hoses
      Fuel lines
      Etc....
But all this costs a lot and I'm not spending money on stuff I don't need right now.

Very good camera work and maintenance. Thank you. Birds in the background sounds beautiful, like music. I love it.
