Thanks for putting me and my 72 Brut in your video. These old sleds really are a labor of love. It's great to have events like this and be around other people who can appreciate them.
A big thank you for putting together a great showcase of the diverse mix of machines one will encounter at the MWVSS Ride-In at ERX! It was great meeting you and thanks for adding my Tx-L Indy and Cutlass SS to your video. Always a great time being around people who appreciate these old machines!
Really love your channel if you didn’t own polaris sleds I wouldn’t watch your videos i was looking for people who do work on 90s Polaris XLT’s and you guys have a few of them lol i just bought two clean XLT’s my first ever toys to give attention too and i also have a 1980s txl 340 that i fixed up after sitting in storage for 10 years!! Again really like your channel i look forward to learning alot about my machines so when it comes time i can fix them myself! Thank you guys for always putting out good content on old snowmobiles!!
Great seeing you at ERX. Thanks for sharing your knowledge over a couple of cool ones. Love the video as I missed the 65 Scorpion at the show as there was so much to see.
Thank you! I grew up on the normal Artic cats, Ski-doo Olympics, We had a Kitty cat growing up. I had a 69 Chapperal 399 Kohler. That sled had a single cog with like a Para rail suspension. I had a 640 TNT. With a translated 399 rotax. Loved that sled. Also had a Sno Prince with a 340 Hurth. That was a good sled. Believe it or not. In later years (97) bought a spring order.Yamaha Vmax 600sx. Great sled. I owned 2 ski doo 670s one 95 grand touring and a 99 formula z670. Great sleds. My favorite though was 00 polaris xc 700 45th anniversary. That sled was fast! I have graduated to modern sleds though. I had a17 ski doo tnt 600 etec. Good sled but I traded that for a Polaris indy xc 800. Hands down the best riding snowmobile ever. That liberty 800. She pulls hard. Love your show. We are in Vermont and do the same things you and your buddies do. Great content and I've learned a ton from you. Thanks.
Super cool video ! Just sold my 2022 Yamaha sidewinder srx and decided to go back in time with ampurchase of a 1996 polaris xlt 600 triple and a 2001 Polaris xcr 800 triple. Thanks for the video !

Hey John! Thanks for taking us along at the ride in 👍. Sure would have liked to have been there 🤷🏻♂️. Really love those Brut’s! So far ahead of their time. Your buddy Tommy sure has some cool stuff! Maybe could get a video with him in it sometime? Interesting stuff So how big a motor is that 650 based mod motor anyways? Similar to the SLP 707 or 747 RZ motors?
excelent Vid! I saw a 1980 Scorpion TK in the background, wondering if you got a chance to talk to the owner. had a lot of fun on that machine back in the day.
Awesome video so cool seeing all those beautiful sleds. I recently bought a 1993 Polaris xlt 580 it runs amazing and your videos have been beyond helpful. Any advice about the 93 xlts
@@nuttersspeedshop I bought it from a old guy that bought it 20 years ago and rode it twice. It’s like brand new and an absolute ripper. I can’t believe how easy it lift the front end off the ground. Definitely plan on keeping it stock though. Thanks for the advice I appreciate it from the xlt guru

Looks like a '72 420 model from what I can see. 18 HP 295 Kohler one lunger. The lowest priced Gilson of its day. At one point I was debating between that and a Ariens 300 for relic class in the Wild Bill Race Series.
@@MidnightPolaris800 Cross your fingers, they are seldom ever seen these days. They didnt make very many to start with, and I have not seen one offered in a long time. Thanks Todd! It was great meeting you and a huge thank you for showing your machines. I think your assessment of a Cutlass SS is right on LOL!
Thanks for the video and thank you everyone for sharing your sleds. Man it was so cold. Much warmer watching this..😄 Cheers🍻🍻

Loved the video!!!!! Absolutely awesome!!!!
Cool vintage sleds
Wow thanks for sharing all of them sled's... That 650 sounds like a beast.
Always a great time at Midwest Ride-In.

Absolutely.
That was just great to watch!!! That is exactly how the old school sleds should be: Ridden!
Thanks!

It was great to see you Lloyd.
Nothing sounds better than a tripple tripple, and that 440 tripple Brut gave me a chubby!
I cant pick a favorite but that 98 rmk 700 was cleaner under the hood than it was new LOL!!!
It was spotless.
Great video as always I love the sound of the pipes thanks for taking us along👍👍
Glad you enjoyed!
Outstanding, thanks for the old school rides

I'm not really sure on the details, but Tommy will talk about it in a future video.

I didn't talk to that person. I used to own a 1980 TK and it was a great sled. Pararail really rides nice.
A lot of really cool sleds. The 650 based centurion sounded wild.
I took it for a ride across a lake once. It is wild!

XLTs are really good sleds. As long as it's stock, just keep the fuel system clean and the carbs synched and make sure your clutch isn't too worn.

P.S.I. Biggest motor was the 1500 cc right , 320hp ? 180 & 190 hp on the 890cc and 920cc twins , always wanted one of them too ! Skäl !
I'm not sure.
