AddWash doors are designed for you to put clothes that you forgot to put in before the cycle. You need to take care of it Do not use the AddWash to put all your clothes there. Use the main door if possible
The clear plastic in the front of the little add wash door is cracked. I ordered a replacement but can't get the old one off. I've removed the screws but the add wash door won't come off. It is connected at a joint at the bottom. I have been searching for about two months, on and off, for an hour or two, then put it aside and go to laundromat. I thought this video might give some instruction but it is just a piss and moan piece.
I have the same problem with my Adwash. Its about 4 years old, still working but the cracks are flexing alot and I suspect it will start to leak soon. Purchased WW85K6**, Australia. Have not bothered to contact Samsung. If you've dealt with Samsung Customer service before you'll know it is probably the worst you will encounter.
My addwash door won't open at all!!! I have no loads in & the machine is off. I sometimes like to air the door out however it won't open !!!! What is the problem now !!!!
Also got this same problem with my 9kg machine. Apparently this counts as user ‘physical damage’, according to Samsung 🤔 Which is weird, as it happened during normal washing machine operation
This is a world wide problem with addwash. Not only this, but their motherboards crap out on a regular basis on the addwash/ecobubble/powerfoam! As well as the tub Spider arm disintegrates. Made in China, not Korea.
I can't agree more. My samsung technician came and said we cracked the door. We were puzzled! Now i know it wasn't me alone having a cracked door. Plus the locking system on the addwash door is giving me issues now. The lock wouldn't fire and the washing wouldn't start because of it. I'm just speechless and i'm thankful to see your video knowing that it is not user problem on the cracked door.
I also have an addwash machine here and instantly noticed the plastic is different. Your seems to be very smooth. The one in the machine I have does have a rough unsmooth feeling to it. Will it make a difference? See you in a few months I guess.
Had the exact same issue for me and my partner. Out of warranty because its two and half years old. For the price of repair I am looking at a new one, well gutted!
If i would have that same machine as yours , i will force my dad to sell it immediately! Samsung has to quit making Addwash doors of these machines. EVER
I agree, currently having issues with my. Error code says add wash is open so won't start the cycle, but all the doors are closed. Ive searched the Internet looking for answers but nothing as yet. Samsung customer service were next useless, asking to check for things in the way and turn it off and on again. Peice of crap
This is not my review 👉🏿 The soap dispenser tray is designed to be self-cleaning. It is too early to comment, but hopefully this will be a beneficial feature as my old machine’s tray was often covered in mildew and it was extremely difficult to clean the housing around it. But I will say 🤔👉🏿 "I wasn't aware that people still used the soap tray these days, I always preferred the drum direct!"
@@houseofquad2260 yes everything is working as well as i expected not problems so far ...i used Addwash 4-5 times only ,to speak the truth. If any problem appears i will write here again.
Theodore Alexopoulos Thanks for the quick reply. Add wash isn’t really a feature I see myself using. I’m more worried about it being a point of failure like in this video. I’m pleased to hear that you are not having the same issue 😀
Paul Hojda miele is a brand that changed their spiders to aluminium. All machines are crap. Even Miele are getting bad. Beko are good as cheap machines. People always say "get a Miele" when they are between £1000-£2000. Beko are good because they are quite durable machines. Why spend £1000 when you can get a machine for £250
I know many people that have Miele from the early 2000's with aluminium spiders that are still working fine today and have never had issues. I don't know many that have Beko's from the early 2000s that still work. You can also often find deals on Miele machines and get them for less than 500£. And it's true that Bosch also cut corners these days, which is why it's best to get a cheap Bosch, as more expensive ones are built just as badly. I agree with you, that nobody makes machines these days like they used to, but Miele is still above the rest quality wise.
I am from brazil and had two problems on my samsung add wash.Firstly, the auto softner pump does not work properly. Now the add wash door sensor is damage i fixed myself the two problems. But, the samsuns is the worst brand On the world.#Do not buy samsumg appliances.
Just a quick note I forgot to upload this a few months ago but it has had a new Door on and fingers crossed they won’t do this again 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Hello! Would you update us about the current state of the new door? Did it crack again?
Marla M. No it still hasn’t thankfully but if anyone wants a Samsung washer I would stay away from the addwash ones!
@@SuperWasherKid2002 Thanks for the repply, good luck with your WM!
Anything with more gimmicky features/ moving parts = more potential issues
Has it cracked after 3 years?😎

No shit.
Very helpful video. Got the same problem with mine, cracks in the adwash plastic. Waiting for the service tomorrow....
I have exactly same problem. Is there any view existing or video showing how to dismount the add was door and replace the broken parts ?

You could bodge a fix using superglue and soda powder along the cracks. I had to stick mine back together about a year ago and it's still holding

Did you ever resolve the issue with the locking system? My machine is having that issue now =/
My addwash lock mechanism is malfunctioning too :( thought of coming here to find a diy solution while waiting for samsung technician to come over.
@@LitenPowpow the technician came and taught me to use a stick to push/poke the locking part that was stuck. After times it unlocks and working again.

ddC error is addwash open error
Same here. Please tell me that you've found a solution?
I wonder if the door of the non-AddWash models are also made of plastic.
All machines outside decoration is plastic. Door middle is hlass
Is it the plastic?
whats the point if i add some clothes and then restart it? I will try and come back as soon as it comes.
How big is this problem

the problem is that you wash black clothes with white laundry, so the washing machine reacts wrong
Absolutely nothing to do with washing black with white laundry and we don’t anyway.
What about warranty?
Slm khoya momkin t9oli erreur ddc xno howa
i meaaaaan.... free fish tank? Its like a bonus feature
thanks for the info !
Thanks for this video :)
The problem is that it is a samsung
Ilove Servis I 100% agree with you!
At least someone agrees that samsung is a bad company
pro shooters we have 3 Samsung products in my house costing over eight and a half grand we won’t be buying anymore
You can replace the door to this samsung without addwash
The PCB has add wash door lock sensor inside
I was just told you can't. Mine is broken
This has put me off buying one with the add wash, spare me the drama, I can feel how pissed off he is what a load of "pun intended" hassle! ☹️ 👎🏿
Wtf i just ordered one ,coming in Tuesday
Οκ everything is working fine...but i wont use the addwash door in any circumstances.

Varun Raikhy oh dear! If you let them do the repair it will cost you a hell of a lot of money 😬
Can't you get the non-add wash door instead?
Usually Samsung have an add-wash and non add-wash model of the same dimensions etc
Have you got an new Samsung
gta5 master 2014 no still got the same machine
I thought you had a Hotpoint anyway??
My suggestion is to replace it with a better machine, like hotpoint, beko, the new candy bianca, tol bosch/siemens, aeg 9000 series
Washer Guy 2002 I'd say the 8000 series because I think that the "soft water" compartment is a waste of time.
Hotpoint/Beko/Candy...they're all crap. Get a Miele if you really want quality. Or at least a bosch/siemens if you can't afford a Miele
