yeah it wouldn't make sense for a darkness race to exist, considering an army of them wouldn't make sense. Witness only wants the really strong considering the rest are unworthy of life
There's so much theory crafting going on lately. Feels like the story is in such a good spot where the community can throw around so many ideas. I'm excited about every single one
Alright here's my theory: inside every pyramid in the fleet, there is one 'boss.' Each boss is the ultimate, most powerful, and last surviving member of a race uplifted by the Traveler. Essentially, the witness is going around undoing the Traveler's work, and honing each race down into one last member, its Final Shape. I think in the final shape expansion, the Traveler will leave and the witness will try to turn the Guardian into humanity's final shape.
As much as I love the theory, The Final Shape is the last expansion of the light and dark saga so would this make sense really?

@@GuyThePCGamer I believe that the Final Shape will be more about in a certain sense acquiring something greater than the traveller/the darkness. I do believe we'll learn of other species/races as well probably other worlds. There will defo be more disciples we have to face throughout the two oncoming expansions, and I feel like there will be a lot of story beats with the witness, like one on one monologues type of thing.
Im more into the belief that the final shape refers to us defeating Xivu Arath aka the final SHAPE shifter. However, if your idea is correct it makes sense that the boss in one fleet ship be Calus as he is meant to be returning and it fits with what you said.
Considering weaponcrafting is called shaping and Destiny is all about turning Gods into guns, I think The Final Shape will be a darkness imbued exotic weapon that someone will use to try kill the Traveler.
The ornament for Collective Obligation also implies that the Traveler will be overtaken by the darkness. The default look of it is similar to the shard of the Traveler and as you steal void buffs you can see Darkness slowly overtaking it. The name of the ornament is: “In Finality”
The four suns on rhulk's eyes could also represent the four planets the witness took (io, titan, Mars, and mercury)
While the two symbols on rhulks eyes could actually be the suns of lubrae
The witness forces will almost definitely be a variety of different alien races from outside of our solar system.
I want to assume w.e the drifter found on that other planet that sapped their light and had a creature in some sort of stasis like in the ones in the raid.

Black armory lore mentions the darkness during the collapse and that the beings that came smelt like wet earth too

During beyond light the alternate timeline had eris leading the darkness against humanity and everyone fell to the darkness. Even our guardian, Ana bray, and Elsie.
The Exo Strangers symbol may actually be a the Bray family symbol. It can also be seen on Ana's armor. Plus the Exp Stranger is Elsie Bray. Since Clovis is so closely connected with the darkness, it is possible that that's what that symbol is. Maybe Clovis has become a disciple, creating new technology for the darkness.
It was a waste that he wasn’t an actual villain or antagonist that us guardians would face off against and would’ve made a great raid boss for DSC
@@bananatank9048 Ain’t that the truth, maybe Bungie has something planned, I could see him being the antagonist of light fall, or at least the raid boss. Witness for the campaign and Clovis for the raid, or vice versa
@@loganfee7113 lt would’ve been cool if he was the main raid boss of DSC and he would try to build a portal to the darkness and this time an actual portal to meet the darkness and not that fake vex portal seen in the glassway strike and after we defeat him we would get a speech from our ghosts from the darkness about the first disciple and the weakest Disciple rhulk and the sunken pyramid ship and secrets and Easter eggs in the crypt teasing and build up for witch queen and lightfall

Lore-wise, SIVA would be a great asset for an actual war with the darkness.
back in RoI they mentioned that it was intended as a colonization tool, maybe we'll finally expand past the city with Rasputin on our side and SIVA under his control
Siva has much larger Origin than Nano technology, the crystallization pattern for Siva is in the shape of a pyramid and it is black and red similar to the red wave scene in the ice on Europa and in the pyramid on the moon, Clovis the rumored of creator of siva could’ve actually learned to discover and create Siva from the witness and the darkness similar to Oryx learning how to take

Rhulk’s eyes and Stranger/Elsie Bray’s fish/ghost/darkness thing have the same looking eyes if you compare side to side
Yea, but that’s just a coincidence. I know this because Luke Smith was asked if that was a darkness style ghost or some future thing that all ppl like the exo stranger had, and he basically said it was just there for marketing purposes. He said it could make a future appearance if they were requested enough, but that was the end of it. If anything, Rhulk would’ve been designed to look like that thing then since the concepts of beyond light and all stuff related to it came first, not the other way around.

Everyone always talks about how many times Taniks has been reused, but never about how many times crota has been reused. Man was in a raid, a reprised raid, the Shadowkeep story, a nightmare hunt, Dares of Eternity, and to top it all of his exact mechanics have been reused multiple times, but most obviously in the Court of Oryx
The differences between tanlks and Crota is that Tanlks was reused ln a new raid DSC even tho that raid was meant for the exos and fallen as well as Clovis while the crota was in reprised activities which would be meant for him on the lake with Tenex

ARPDAU stands for: Average Revenue Per Daily Average User.
it's defined as:
- All the money [revenue] the game makes;
divided by:
- The Average number of daily players in the game.
it's a metric that comes from the mobile phone industry, originally, where a big thing was all about "pushing ARPU" - increasing how much a mobile telco charged each user, per month.
ARPDAU being down, on that slide up there, is an "artefact" - the new expansion bought in an influx of new players, who then won't have yet gotten into the habit of blowing cash on Seasons and the Eververse store.
I was going to say the same thing. It’s definitely a telco/comms term.

So according to some lore pieces (don’t remember which ones) apparently drifter is working towards becoming a disciple, which is possibly the reason why rhulk has his eye on Eris and Elsie as possible disciples or even replacements for him, while drifter is already working towards becoming a disciple, meaning rhulk no longer needs to keep an eye on him

I REALLY WANT TO PLAY THROUGH THE LEVIATHAN AGAIN. I LOVED THAT RAID!!!!
I'd love it if Bungie made some sort of "Destiny Unvaulted" game which is a separate game with individually selectable downloads you can do to play certain vaulted content like The Red War/other removed story content or replay season of Dawn/Opulence or some old exotic missions or removed Raids (similar to how PC Halo allows you to download specific games to play), with some sort of sync to our main bungie accounts/vaults so we can collect special loot that way.
I don’t think that would work cause the same problem about why it was vaulted
The dlcs aren’t saved on our consoles
But it would be cool tho
The big problem is making this proftable, 80%of ppl dont wanna replay/play the old content, server costs and stuff would just be wasteful
Great video! I wish they would find a way to just make separate downloads for certain vaulted content. Like red war isn’t in the main game, but you can download it separately and play the campaign only.

My guess for the symbols is a Dark Fireteam if you will. Drifter isn't added yet, for some reason, but the black suns are placeholders until the others are revealed. Money on a symbol for Calus being one

ARPDAU is most likely "Average Revenue Per Daily Active User". DAU is above that in the same slide, and that section is about revenue.

I think the symbols in Rhulk’s eyes represent named characters that have used stasis.
Our guardian isn’t named, hence why there isn’t a 3rd symbol for us. However, all the other symbols could represent guardians using stasis to its fullest extent.
Eris can be seen using stasis in Beyond Light, hence the Eris symbol in Rhulk’s eye. Elsie also used stasis, and her symbol is in Rhulk’s eye.
Maybe, since Rhulk is the first disciple, he’s used as a journal by the Witness to keep track of people using the darkness. Possibly more people to corrupt and make into disciples like Rhulk.
4 sun based symbols there right? Named Characters.
Eramis, Phylaks, Kridis and Praksis,
all the same faction being house of Salvation, all named Characters, All used Stasis.
4 Suns being House of Salvation,
1 Eris Symbol being Eris,
And 1 Stranger Symbol being Exo "Elsie Bray" Stranger

As the the 4 Circular eyes are the planets destroyed by the witness Mars titan io and mercury while the two eyes are actually the
suns of lubrae because lubrae had 2 suns and if it was Eris for the Eris symbol symbol it should’ve been the Eris symbol which can be seen in shadow keep

I always had this idea thay Cayde 6 previously was Rasputen. He always seem to know more than anyone else about Rasputen.
six symbols, six main people that run the last city, Zavala. ikora, Shaxx, Drifter, Eris, Ana Bray. maybe the reason for it not being ana is because this is the dimension where she feels she has control over the darkness, but most likely Rhulk and the witness trying to eat the vanguard inside out

Both exo stranger & Eris Moorn had pyramids on their planets they hangout at. Eris on the moon has a pyramid. Same with exo stranger on Europa. Could be that secretly Eris and Exo stranger are followers of the darkness those are their own pyramid ships.
They should bring the Leviathan back as a patrol zone like The Dreadnaught

I think it's great all these ideas going around about what's to come in Destiny 2 however I have read the pastebin that was shared on Destiny Leaks Twitter from a disgruntled bungie employee who was fired and it lays out all the future of D2 and its quite interesting
The witness recruited calus to be a disciple because she wants to use the leviathan to devour the traveler.

Why was the Drifter on Europa?
I think that every future thing except the City being destroyed is true. We are paracausal, so we can change at least that... although it would be pretty cool storywise for the city to be destroyed.
Did some research the dwarf planet Erie was named after the goddess of discord and lawlessness which if you read Rhulks extremely messed up lore makes sense.

We have Cabal and Fallen as an Ally but soon The Witness will have Cabal and Fallen from Calus and Eramis. Also If Savathun and her hive come and ally too we could have Xivu Arath and her hive with the Witness helping then the Vex just gonna watch from the side lines lol

I have a theory about the eco stranger. If she does or doesn’t know about it but if you look at her ghost it has 6 eyes as Rholk and that it might be a symbol for the witness. Yea they might not be the same symbols but maybe all the symbols for each herald of the witness. The mysterious thing about her is she is from a different time so she must be the one the witness chose to be the last of the human race. Eco stranger told Eris and drifter who she was so that’s why drifter is preparing us and Eris is the investigator of how we could stop all of this. I say they are the future of the vanguard.
one of the main problems with the drop in active players was the new player experience is kind of suck, my friend just downloaded it and none of them can experience what is happening and why are they here. from the start of D2 (the Red War), even if some players didn't play D1, they still can get into the situation through the storyline. Nowadays like they join a random war without knowing what happening, and they quit the game. With fewer and fewer new players, old players with leave too, which make a dead loop occurs.
The city besieged DOES NOT MEAN the city destroyed. Also, it's clear from Caitl's dialogue that these are the outcomes that The Darkness wants. Not inevitability.
What if the next locations we lose will be Europa and the Moon. Then eventually, the planet? Just a thought
Well the exo stranger is a time traveler and she says she is not from this timeline, so perhaps we are close to her birth of her on this timeline, and I feel that Eris is going to be the final boss of the Hive and try and take the throne after we beat Xivu

I don’t get the sense the Rhulk has someone in his eye because they are aligned. I think he sees Eris and the Stranger as threats.
Remember the Stranger is trying to channel timelines to prevent an overtaking by the Darkness. By being out of time she’s out of his control.
I think the story of Eris will reveal that you don’t need a Ghost to channel the Light, and she will eventually somehow use the Light again. Being able to wield both is a fundamental threat to the Witness.
For eris, I think it's the fact that she was the person who became a disciple in the dark timeliness. She could be a great ally to the darkness. if they can corrupt her.
I could see them eventually shutting down D1 and rebranding D2 simply as “Destiny”. Possibly after the Final Shape ? Maybe bring some of those missing D1 weapons into the Final Shape of “Destiny”.
Can’t due to activision. They still have dibs on the OG destiny sales, so anything converted to just “destiny” would mean, contractually speaking, that activision would be entitled to get a piece of the pie. I think that’s why ppl talked about titles like “destiny forever” (or whatever was floating around a while back) so it’d be a more cohesive universe while still avoiding any activision drama.

@@kmhowells2 because it’s brought into D2, it technically doesn’t count. Reusing assets (even if they’re identical locations from D1) is fine, but since activision has a claim to the original destiny, if D2 is now called “destiny”, it’d fall under whatever the terms are for D1 & they’d be able to make money off of it again. But since bungie & activision split and the terms were that moving forward, activision didn’t have any claim to publishing rights on future D2 content, they no longer had the ability to make money off of it, but oddly, if it was renamed to be destiny, it’d fall under their D1 agreement.
Obviously, there’s a lot of silly stuff to their separation agreement, but it’s why bungie wanted to stop releasing updates on D1 since they’d have to share the money, so anything they now do, even bringing old D1 locations to D2 is free of those obligations.
