So this is the fuss with our Prime Minister and having access to the lounge … I think for people of his status this is perfect Still a bit weird you need validation from a lounge to make you so excited… 😂 I think it’s this exclusivity that makes it a bit of an enigma .. I’m not that impressed with the menu .. but nice to escape from the masses whilst travelling.. I’ll do that in a private jet which is much more exciting for me ! Thanks for the video.
I definitely get excited about things like this! But I tend to be a bit odd like that 🤣 Yeah it's just a private space at the end of the day. If you're fortunate to fly private, then yup, your past needing chairman's lounge
I found the international business lounge at Melbourne to be quite good. But never got to the chairman's lounge for domestic and I'd rather minimize the time at the airport for a less than 2 hour flight to anywhere except Perth and Darwin.
Thanks for that! I've heard of the Chairmans' Lounges but assumed I'd never know what they are like. It is both disappointing and reassuring to see they aren't all that flash.
Yeah I was very surprised to have been invited. Wish I could've taken better photos/videos. Looks like they tamped down on it in recent times on this. Still a lounge at the end of the day, but personally, I think it's a bit nicer than the business lounge offering- could just be that it sees far less foot traffic so looks less worn. Am glad for the experience the none the less!
It's certainly a bit dated for sure, but also didn't really get to capture it in a good light while avoiding staff/other guests. I think they're slowly revamping all the lounges again
@@RaffyHalim Thanks Raffy .. I wasn't being rude .. considering all the hype about it .. your right its dated .. I have traveled much of China and some of the Hotels n Restaurants are Whooo .. !! decor and service wonderful.. cheers .. good video..
Didn't take it as rude at all! Yeah I was lucky to visit a few lounges around the world and by modern standards, even comparing to the Singapore international lounges are more updated. But I think the whole point is to have a quiet, low head count lounge with similar level of service to the international first lounge but in domestic. For that, it's a functional lounge. And I don't drink, but I'm told the booze selection is great
It might be a tad dated but the quality is there. Definitely a big step up from either of the lounges opposite but for me I'll take Qatar any day!
Agreed on the quality! I haven't been on Qatar yet. Hopefully in the future one day!
If you tell QANTAS staff your dad is Anthony Albanese, you get free access to the Lounge
I'll try that next time 🤣
But I am eighty would that still be okay ..
@@dodgeboy9052 let me know if you try it and it works out!
Looked Great, thanks for the video.
Hope it was useful! Wish I couldve taken videos more freely to give a better sense of the space
@@RaffyHalim no was great.
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it!

That’s ok mate and it’s why that exclusivity sucks people in for status .
I really recommend Singapore Airlines VIP lounge areas
@@melsmithmel brother in law works for SIA, but I have yet to fly much with them 🤣

Is your dad Anthony Albanese to get free Chairman's Lounge?
If only! Happy to pretend for lounge entry and free upgrades though!
Lounge looks dated... I think business/first class lounges is plenty fine when not overcrowded...
In person it doesn't look too bad, but it is starting to show its age.
It felt like that was the main perk: it's not ever overcrowded
Hi raffy, do you know if the food in the Qantas lounges/in business class meals is halal? I've found this information hard to come by
I've asked a few times and the answer has only ever been 'no'.
There was seafood and veg options though
Looks pretty crummy to me .. maybe the interior decorators need to have a visit to China ..learn about real interior design ..🤣🤣
