First story: Nasty, selfish and a predatory. My parents were 17 years apart and they got together while she was in her early 30's, because he liked her legs. Still, the power dynamic was wrong. This is a whole other level of disgusting. And mean to the x wife

18 and 36 that’s a massive age gap like the girl just became an adult. The husband is a massive walking red flag the girlfriend needs to make a run for it.
Regarding the second story, I got the feeling she was cheating on him and thought her paramour sent the flowers. I mean, the texting, the lying, and the fact that she didn’t explain that she thought some random had sent her flowers and didn’t want to make her boyfriend jealous when the truth did come out, and instead continued to lie, are all rather sus. Also, why not ask him in the first place? I’m a girl, and if I had a boyfriend and got sent anonymous flowers, my first words to him would probably be somewhere along the lines of “I got flowers this morning. Did you send them?”
Also, if you believe someone is cheating talking to them without any concrete evidence is probably a bad idea. They’ll probably lie and gaslight their way out of it.

I got the exact opposite. That she actually had a stalker or an ex she was afraid of and was afraid that person had discovered where she lived. Super creepy to get flowers from an unknown person at your door.
@@elaexplorer if that’s the case, why not ask him something like “have you heard of (shop name)? I was just looking at their website, and they have lovely arrangements.” And why continue to lie after she knew it was him, especially when she already knew about them on NYE?

Right. That was my thought. She was NOT happy to get anonymous flowers. If she was cheating she probably would have been somewhat happy, not on edge like she was. There was definitely some fear that someone, who shouldn't, knew her address.

The last story makes me sick. Imagine SAing someone and then when you're found out, claiming it happened because you were "drunk" and "had a bad day". That's not what having a bad day means, dude. I'm glad she broke up with him and not claim it's no big deal. Hope she's doing better.
0:05: The ex is just trying to make OP feel inadequate. This is a thinly veiled way of him telling her that her body is ugly and used up. I shudder to think what he'd do to his 18-year-old hottie if (dare I say when) her body becomes just like his ex's.
2:25: This is a weird one. OP sent his GF flowers, the GF hides the flowers, the GF asks OP if he sent her flowers, the GF says yes, OP sees the flowers on the table the next day, the GF claims they weren't delivered on time. Something fishy is going on here, but it doesn't necessarily mean she's cheating on him. This could be nothing more than an incident straight out of bizarro world, but you never know.
7:03: The fact that OP's ex got blind drunk and sexually assaulted her friend raised enough red flags for her to want to break it off. That fact he acted so desperately to want to get back together is another red flag. He completely destroyed OP's image of him on that one night of drunkenness. OP should just completely cut him off.

They may sent you messages saying that they want to buy you chocolates, and send it by Uber delivery, when you never told them your address.
First story: I don't even think there's a 18 year old GF. Just for the sake of OP's daughter (since OP only cares bc of posible interactions with the kid) if I was OP I would do a reverse-image search of one of the bikini pictures and check if he's stealing them from somewhere.
A bad day is someone getting angry and being on edge for no reason, not assaulting someone else and "almost killing them and their partner"
First story: Ex-husband and his girlfriend should get a goldfish and a baby doll. Her body is "too perfect to ruin" - ??? Gimme a break. Ex-wife needs to tell them to take a long hike off a short pier. Second story: She may have been feeling weird because the flowers arrived without a note. Were they from a friend? A stalker? How would she know? Third story: Sounds like she got out just in time. She should stay away from this guy - he's dangerous.

In story 2, even if my “exclusive partner” didn’t leave a note with the flowers, I’d assume he was the one to send them. After I got them without a note, I’d either just say thank you for the flowers or ask if he sent them…as soon as I got them. She waited a really long time to see if he was the one sending the flowers…checking with everyone EXCEPT her “exclusive partner”. Yeah, she’s cheating…
Your comment is the literal definition of having a sheltered life. There is so many other possibilities. She could have had an abusive ex/stalker that she was worried found her because why would you ever assume your bf wouldn't leave a note if he sent flowers and not been ready to talk about it yet (because trauma) so that's why she was jumpy. The phone calls were her looking for support and also seeing what she should do to work out if it is the abusive person or not from people who are in the know.

If the girlfriend was really looking for support, like you propose, why wouldn’t she turn to her boyfriend for it? If I were hoping it wasn’t from my ab*sive ex, I’d ask the person I HOPED the flowers were from, not hide them. I stand by my statement…she’s cheating.

For the third story--she is NOT being cruel to him, she is trying to protect herself. She owes him NOTHING. I should know; I married SATAN--and lived to tell the tale. It took a lot longer to stop caring about him than it did to get him out of my life--but I am SO glad I did. When I ran from him, I feared for my life; two hours and fifty miles later, me with a car and him without, I was STILL afraid. Sometimes, you just gotta let go--or risk death.

About the flowers: Dude did a mental gymnastics to think she's betraying him. Like, seriously?? Dude doesn't understand the fear of being stalked. I hope she dumps him.
Even if she wasn't cheating. she was certainly creeped out. Why would anyone who says he's a BF send flowers anonymously anyway? That seems straight up weird. Also, it depends on their relationship dynamics, doesn't it. Some guys you could ask right out "Did you send me flowers? I got flowers and no note on who sent them", but if the BF is a jealous, suspicious type, he'd not be someone you could be straight up with; because he's going to think the worst if he WASN'T the one who sent them. Last story. That isxexactly what abusers do. Toxic ppl are like this. One needs to really be very strong and block those ppl on all possible ways. If this is not possible, one needs to be very safe and very strong and needs help.

Story 1 - he sounds like a narcissist* who wants a reaction. He may not even have an 18 Yr old gf. If so, he is not in love because that allows people to think from a high frequency and 'move on'. Him trying to make you jealous means he is still in a relationship with you, in his head. He is using you as supply* and probably making his new gf uncomfortable by boasting that he still speaks to his ex!??!!
Story 2 / flowers : if she was 'in love' with her bf then she would have automatically thought they were from him. The shadiness came from a low key hope they were from s1 else.

Freaking out over receiving an anonymous gift does not, in any way, shape or form, equal having something to hide.
It means that a person freaked out that a gift with no name, no return address, and literally zero indication of who it was from was suddenly and unexpectedly on her doorstep.
It could have been a stalker for all she knew. She was visibly shaken and upset over what very well could have been a creepy gift.

In the very first story, she should cuss her ex out to the fullest and she should even put haands on him to for even having the nerve to ask her something like that. In the second story, either she's cheating on him or she's already lost interest, but anyway it goes it's sad because she just won't tell him what's going on. I've had this same exact trick used on me too back when I was in my teens. You send flowers anonymously to your girl to try to keep the relationship spicy and of course to let her know that I'm always thinking of you. In the third story, she had every right to break up with him; as a matter of a fact, that man deserves to be in prison for committing an act like that on her best friend. She should've been called the police because who does she care about more her best friend or her monster of an ex? I love you my friend!! Have a great day!! Stay safe!!
