I sat down in one of their stores in Dubai mall and smelled everything they had at the time, I could appreciate and like a few of them.. but in general I never found one that was totally my taste, it's like they're just not quite my cup of tea.. not even sure why. I just never felt a vibe with any of them. I like the way they highlight each perfumer on the front of the bottle, and I think photograph on the back of the box.. You'd think with so many different perfumers I'd have found one I was into, but not yet.
Interesting… did you sample at home too? Hard for me to buy at the counter these days.
@@CanadianBeautyBlogi've tried at different counters in different places, smelled them all again in Vancouver too, only tried a couple at home from samples.. I did reviews of Musc Ravageur and Portrait of a Lady
Very well spoken, and interesting! Carnal Flower is such a sophisticated perfume, I do think the price is crazy, but I think the quality is superior to many other perfumes. Lipstick Rose and Portrait of a Lady sound beautiful. Love the smell of L’Oréal lipstick. In search of a lipstick vibe perfume, I ended up buying Chanel Misia, which smell more like makeup. 😘💛🧡
Ah yes, Misia! For some reason I never thought of it as lipsticky but it makes sense. Maybe I’ll pull my sample of it out today.
It really has more of a powdery smell, like face powder.
Musc Ravageur, Rose and Cuir + Music for a while are my fave

I have a tiny amount of musc ravageur from about 10 years ago.
I bought my gf parfume de Thérèse a while vack as well, and its an underrated bottle in the collection.
Also, never had a desire to own a dupe. Just like my clothing, i try for less and better quality.
Yes, fewer and better quality things seem to keep us happier too.
I have to agree with the opinion of dupes being ok, but I don’t get the full experience of all the notes , or the journey that the original perfume offers. 🥰
Better to just find a different perfume to wear altogether.
Besides Portrait of a Lady, can you recommend any other unisex rose-patchouli options? Since getting Francesca Bianchi's limited edition Sticky Lips, I'm in love with the combination, which I'd never experienced before. But since it is a limited edition, I don't want to blow through my bottle so quickly!
Tom Ford Cafe Rose is an earthy variation on rose-patchouli and it's been re-released, although I can't compare it to the OG just yet. Les Abstraits La Douleur Exquise is excellent because it goes into a more vintage/niche territory with the addition of castoreum and iris... I really like it and often thinking about exchanging my POAL for that one. If you like Francesca Bianchi's work, you might like that one as well.

I’ve bought many things off there and it’s legit. I’ve gotten a Lutens and an Amouage.
@@CanadianBeautyBlog Ok good to know! I love cardinal flower and have been hoarding a sample for about 4 years. Got it as a gwp from Barney's. So I may finally get it there. Also, want to try lipstick rose and rose and cuir. I also read your comment about Tom Ford Cafe Rose and just ordered the new version. Hopefully it's good.
Yeah I gotta get my nose on that new version to compare! The new bottles are beautiful.
