The Emira is great. I was in the list for one. Just couldn’t do it when I saw how bad the dealer network is and the nightmares I heard from Elise/Evora owners. Ended up with a 911.
People can be mad a BH all they want for "selling data", if they have some gripes with BH fine, but what's important to me is telling men that is not bad to seek help if you need it.
I gotta say, and to be clear before-hand this is all positive. But during the Hoonigan days, I cant say i was the biggest Vin fan, not that I disliked you but i just didnt have an opinion but I am really enjoying this new chapter in yours and some of the other guys lives, at least from a viewer perspective it is so much more relatable and we can actually learn something about you, your interests, who you are, etc. and at least for myself personally that is what i enjoy the most. Its more like watching a friend then watching an "actor in a tv show". Like we have very similar taste in cars and i never really was able to put that together in the old videos, but watching this content made by you and around what you want, ive become really interested in what you're doing and am glad you're doing it. Looking forward to the future of you.
I think there’s a good and bad way to do sponsorships. I tend to skip the sponsor spot if it ruins the flow of the content, like a hard cut to a sponsor. If its something thats naturally weaved in, im way more likely to sit through it.
It's just such a turn off man. They should leave it in the description or comment sections. A lot of us have premium to avoid that mess. I just started the video so I'm not sure what he is promoting here. I hate how creators now just put it during their videos. I too try to just skip it.

Damn, that BMW meeting had some lookers there! You don´t get to see these kind of builds over here in Germany due to our TÜV road approvel... Maybe next time think about including such a switch in content in the title of the vid, because i thought about skipping this since i´m not really interested enough in the Lotus to watch a 25 min vid about it. I just watched it anyways because it´s from you and your vids are always a vibe since you made your own channel, so that BMW meeting caught me by suprise. Another fun video to watch! Congrats on the sponsor. That was actually a great review on that Lotus. It came out so natural. Edutainment at its best. Alex would be an excellent co-host if you do decide to review some more featured whips. Great to see Ron and the FD, and Larry Chen! I loved the segment with the bros and the bimmers! Yeah the meet looked fantastic. Keep up the fine work, Sir!
Epic episode Vin, you did something you enjoy - driving/car show, there was a mix of things - a new car experience & race cars on the road, a good mix of cars, bonus - you got to hang out with Larry again but most of all you kept to your same edit style so hopefully the episode for you was enjoyable to film and edit. Because, for us, it was the same, rad, cool music vibe, sunny L.A. shed clips (at the start 😂) and a mix of things to keep us engaged... The Lotus started to get boring, so you pointed out it's cons, then you switched to some BMW's and race cars on the road struggles which was great for our entertainment. I love the dry humour of your videos and the music. The L.A. vibe is awesome, and your content keeps me coming back. I usually just click a like on your videos but I thought I should let you know that I am stoked to see your videos doing amazing regarding views so I hope in turn this keeps this format going because I really look forward to watching your videos. I watch on an 85" TV and the quality is great and the sound through our sound bar and sub is nice. 10 out of 10 mate. Best wishes from Australia 🦘 !
Battery Tender Tip .... Put 12v Ciggy Socket mounted rearwards just below bumper line and corresponding plug to the tender, when you drive away it just self unplugs 😉
That was kinda fun. I don't foresee myself getting into the driver's seat of a brand spankin' new Lotus anytime soon, so it's interesting to see/hear what your impressions are as a driver who prefers a driver's car, stick, etc.
This channel has now perfectly combined the old Hoonigan things we loved with a smoking tire type review with throttle house goofiness this is peak. I see Vinny upload I click congrats from Texas my guy 🙌🏽
I had the same thing happen to me once. Drive into SF in my foxbody no wipers and driver window stuck down. Nice day but end of the night it started raining and had to wait it out.
Cool video dude...don't agree the 360 is the black sheep though, it's pretty cool, if any model is the black sheep it was the 348, which still a pretty ace car too imo...love ya work.
I love the Emira, a driver's car you can row all the gears without getting pulled over before u get to 3rd. Multiple options of suspension, motors, tranny...a set of wheels and an exhaust; maybe a slight lowering of the suspension and it's a dope car

Bit slow on the comments but yeah no worries on ads, small price for us to help the content roll. And this vid was definitely the best as soon as the BMW started up. Charger out the door, leaking, fogged up other ones, the trim! - all gold !
Couple mods, final drive, remap etc Japanese wheels carbon lip the Lotus will be epic. Pretty sure stock GT3 gearing pretty long too? It’s actually something to do with emissions testing as well as driveability from memory.
Hey Vin! Some feedback (since you asked 😅) 1. You’re a great content creator. Your energy is great, you are 100% a CAR GUY that I think other car guys enjoy hearing from. The colabs with the old Hoonigang us great and I love seeing you on DDE. 2. The split content in the last few episodes has been tough for me personally to digest. Title & thumbnail say one thing then half the video is something else. I REALLY enjoyed the beauty shots of the BMW event, and the trials of getting there. But I clicked for the Lotus. I’d be interested to see what you can do with a whole episode on the Lotus and a whole episode on the BMW event. Either way keep it up. Oh, one more thing, your house is sick! Would love a brief tour if its not too personal for you and your lady.

Not ashamed to say I love my Emira. Not for everyone but I love that most people have no idea what it is and it looks like it costs twice as much imo. Perfect blend of performance and comfort.. i think the engine was nerfed a bit for emissions standards which is lame.
Dude, people that put out poor quality content, don’t get offers to do sponsorship work. You are cool, have cool cars and make quality content......no need to even talk about getting paid for your obviously hard work........just Vin on man.
Daily drove my Markiski tuned 996Turbo all the way to 138,000 miles and it never left me stranded. Midwest winter,no problem,AWD and Blizzaks. That Metzger engine is amazing
I dig the video and format. Been super curious about the emira and even though the 6 speed v6sc sounds like the right choice, all the price increases spoil the value proposition. That, and I think the amg turbo 4 cylinder and 8 speed(?) dual clutch option make better dollars and sense, and possibly even the better drivers car and no doubt it will be the quicker of the two.
If you dry the inside kf the windscreen and smear shampoo all over it them rub it off with a dry cloth or blue paper it keeps the inside from fogging for a while ive been told anti dandruff like head and shoulders works best but ive used it a normal shampoo when the rally car getts too steamy 😅
It's a tricky balance, i imagine, to have the access and the experiences you do, Vin, and yet keep 'the rest of us' feeling relatable. Hence all the comments about feeling you are genuine and enjoying you being real. I think it would be real easy to have your perspective skew with time. anyway; great job, i agree with so many comments that you come across genuine and real and i enjoy the vids so far immensly. i dont think you can do car reviews constantly, there just aren't that manyinteresting new cars these days, but this was fun and i enjoyed. once again well done!

I'm with everyone else, don't apologise for taking on sponsors. Keep doing you, I'm loving the channel so far. Keep it up. If you ever make your way to Australia for an event I'll be there for it.
The door molding falling off at the car show lmfao
it somehow made it home too.
@@vin_tralove your content bro!
🫡 That part.
I think there are some ways to do em within the content but other times, there isnt a natural way. I'll mix it up!
It's just such a turn off man. They should leave it in the description or comment sections. A lot of us have premium to avoid that mess. I just started the video so I'm not sure what he is promoting here. I hate how creators now just put it during their videos. I too try to just skip it.
@@vin_tra same. I actually sat through that. The "why" goes a long way. Dad's get more out of their kids this way also.
@@ramonbriones4487people gotta do what they gotta do to get paid for making the content, it’s a LOT of work, not everyone living off trust funds, gotta get paid. Have some grace and understanding, because at the end of the day you’re enjoying FREE content. It’s easy to skip over the sponsor ad stuff if you want to, barely an inconvenience, not even. Stop complaining, you sound like a child fr.
It's a review that doesn't feel like a review. Just a couple of guys doin a mountain run.
which is my favorite thing to do!
I`m so grateful for the content from all you guys I didn't skip through the sponsor section. Your videos make me feel that you`re a car guy first and them a content creator. The OG crew universe is amazing.
Next thing you know Vin’s selling the Ferrari for a Lotus
NAHHHHHH
well id trade so i could sell it and buy a nicer 360 HAHA
Definitely don't apologize for having ads. You have to pay the bills same as everybody else and your content is already very good. Nothing to apologize for.
I get that you have to make money, but please put the sponsor segment as a chapter or at least have thingy that counts down till its done
love the videos keep them coming
Damn, that BMW meeting had some lookers there! You don´t get to see these kind of builds over here in Germany due to our TÜV road approvel...
Maybe next time think about including such a switch in content in the title of the vid, because i thought about skipping this since i´m not really interested enough in the Lotus to watch a 25 min
vid about it. I just watched it anyways because it´s from you and your vids are always a vibe since you made your own channel, so that BMW meeting caught me by suprise.
Glad i didn´t skip this one, delivered as always! 👍
You should not have chosen such a controversial sponsor as your first one.
Cmon let the man have some bread man. Imo he can take whatever he wants if that means free content for me
what’s controversial about therapy?
@@Xugoplook it up they aren’t actual therapists
@@Xugop not therapy, but betterhelp. They sold private/confidential data to third parties without disclosing such. Information in Therapy is never to be disclosed to third parties in any way, thats not for the better of the patient.
@@Tim82621 I do 100% but people will not be happy with this one
It’s hard to have your own style especially in the automotive UA-cam space but Vin is Vin through and through and it’s a refreshing change
Whatever Vin is doing is absolutely game changing most entertaining automotive channel out here, OG Cassie Nystat vibes
Wow!! Double bubble for me as I work at the lotus factory at hethel in the UK where these Emiras are built so to see that on a content creators page that I enjoy is killer!!
Honestly brotha, just keep having fun with your cars and the occasional Hoonigan cameo, is all I want👌🏾. It’s inspiring and keeps fired up about making time for mods, see someone else enjoy the community and also seeing someone live out their automotive passion.
As far as the start stop button. The only way that cover makes sense is if you push the stop button while driving, it actually shuts off.
Best wishes from Australia 🦘 !
enjoyed your point of view when talking about new cars. rare to find videos that arent just ads trying to get you to buy one.
these videos rock dude, i love seeing all the boys from my other subscriptions!
Battery Tender Tip .... Put 12v Ciggy Socket mounted rearwards just below bumper line and corresponding plug to the tender, when you drive away it just self unplugs 😉
Big brain
@@vin_tra 😇. Am a toolmaker/precision engineer that got fed up of replacing wall sockets and dealing with live 240v cables . lol
I love that you're hanging out with mike. That was the kind of content I was missing the last couple of years!
the production, aesthetic, and music in your videos is perfect!
No defrost and leaky sunroof... my 242 was like that for years. The first time driving in the rain after I fixed both issues was magical
I love the Emira, a driver's car you can row all the gears without getting pulled over before u get to 3rd. Multiple options of suspension, motors, tranny...a set of wheels and an exhaust; maybe a slight lowering of the suspension and it's a dope car
1:39 I don’t know who made the quote but “ I rather push a slow car to it limits then not be able to push a fast car to it limits. I haven’t really driven much crazy cars but a reason I love my Lightning I can push that thing to its limits on a daily basis and not worry much about anything it’s a fun snappy truck yeah it’s not the fastest but sure is a fun rig burning rubber 1st and 2nd gear hearing the whine at wide open is just an amazing feeling.
100%
It’s so great seeing Vin have fun making his own content. I’m really looking forward to this whole new adventure for him
Miss my early e30 so much . . they are so freaking perfect in alpine white.
It’s awesome to see the OG hooning boys between here and Zac’s channel it’s killer
Loving the sliding garage door reveal edit…..use what ya got
Bro you have to make a living. A sponsor doesn’t mean you’ve sold out or something- and we know that. No need to justify. Congrats on a good sponsor.
Loving the new channel.
Hey Vin, I’m a huge fan from Tulsa & just wanted to tell you I enjoy your style content and just how chill you are. I’m a BIG lowered truck guy but damnit boi I love the e30+ content, also lé porsché is supa sex & the rari i could keep goin. Keep killing this UA-cam journey homie!! Much luv and respek.
Bit slow on the comments but yeah no worries on ads, small price for us to help the content roll.
And this vid was definitely the best as soon as the BMW started up. Charger out the door, leaking, fogged up other ones, the trim! - all gold !
Giving me old hoonigan days vibes with the perfect amount of unplanned chaos. Keep it up!
Couple mods, final drive, remap etc Japanese wheels carbon lip the Lotus will be epic. Pretty sure stock GT3 gearing pretty long too? It’s actually something to do with emissions testing as well as driveability from memory.
I enjoy the simple let’s get out and drive with the gang videos and checking out cool cars 👍🏻
Getting sponsors just means you’re making it, and they help you do what you love
Vin getting the bag is exactly what we want since we want Vin content!
Hey Vin! Some feedback (since you asked 😅)
I was a little sad when hoonigan feel apart. But I’m so happy you, Zach,Hert, ,Suppy and the boys. Made your own UA-cam channel. I really enjoy the content especially yours Vin! I’m realized I used to be so entertained with hoonigan vids because of you all. Please keep it up. You are doing a kick a** job. I will watch every video you put out bud! 🙏🏽
Your videos are so on point. Great content, multiple angles of continued comment, amazing quality, lighting, and sound.
Love it. Thank you so much for putting in tons of work to make such awesome videos!!
I finally got a mic too haha!
I love how genuine your videos are man
I love that you are so conscious not to have a ton of sponsors. I liked your take on the lotus. I really like this episode.
Another banger! The production quality is fantastic as well as the b-roll Music selection. So if you're up late at night editing and putting a vlog together and you're wondering if it's a good combination. The answer is yes, keep it coming!
Not ashamed to say I love my Emira. Not for everyone but I love that most people have no idea what it is and it looks like it costs twice as much imo. Perfect blend of performance and comfort.. i think the engine was nerfed a bit for emissions standards which is lame.
Wow. That location for that car meet was epic. Kudos to the organizers for that!
Yesssss love this
I have the same problem,I love dumb old euro cars. I am your older Midwestern brother that you never wanted. @djohnsonpacc
@@derrekjohnson777 I already have Zac and Dan to remind me about Missouri every 13 minutes hahah
@@vin_tra they are not lying,it sucks. No canyons just river roads, boo.
DJ Markski tuned your Porsche?? He’s a Chicago legend……for his music
I recently got into e30s and they're pretty fun considering how light and chuckable they are. Pretty down to see some track day footage of the e36
I dig the feels of your channel, it's just real life Vin things.
