This video was helpful! I’m excited to learn and try this game out. I’m coming from power rangers battle for the grid and DBFZ before that. Should be fun!
This is dope, I subbed and am looking forward to part 2! When you were talking about using tag and mentioned pianoing, how tight is the timing after the tag to use an input? Or maybe I am just misunderstanding piano inputs
The timing is relatively tight. Also, you are saying it backwards. You can input the move THEN tag. You can't input tag first then a move. The move wont come out if you do it in that order. You can play with it and see for yourself. You don't need to frame perfect hit tag with the other move, but you have to hit tag very quickly after to get the tag to come out before the move comes out. Pause the video and look at the input display to see what I'm doing at that part of the video.
At 3:38 I cover this but I'll explain in text here too. Some moves have a lot of start up or last a long time. Many special moves, like overheads or powerful moves, have very long startups. Many supers last a very long time. You can hit the tag button at the same time or really quickly after you input the special move or super. You will tag before your character starts doing the animation for the special or super move. Because it takes so long to come out, or lasts so long, you can attack with the character that tagged in while the previous controlled character finishes the move you commanded before/with the tag. Hopefully that made it clear.
@@erdood3235 Oh, that's Soul Storm. If you pick the Soul Stone, your storm brings a character back to life with low health, and your inputs control both characters on the screen for the whole storm. You can hold the tag button to only have your inputs control the point character if you don't want the assist to do something at the same time.
This video is incredible. every time I see it or I share it I learn something new. Thanks for your efforts Erebus!
Thanks so much for the kind words Hulk!
Picked this up on sale and if i didn't watch this before playing i definitely would be suffering. Hop is never even mentioned in the game

@@ErebusWolf cool thank you very much for the clarification, I must of misunderstood.
You've probably got it now, but tag canceling in games is the same as a super cancel, you input a move press tag before/during the move coming out
Fantastic video!
Great work man.
tysm for yourtime dude
Good vídeo, i need more pls
This game is too fun.....I been playing MK 11 & I'm a 95 level ....I hate that game but I love Kung Lao
How do you tag ps4?
Check your control bindings at character select, but generally it's on one of the bumpers or triggers.
i don't understand how can a player have both of their characters on screen at the same time attacking

@@ErebusWolf I'm talking about something else. Something which to the best of my memory, i only saw in infinity storms

OK I'm not made for fighting games, thx.
