I picked up the same one from the Iron Heart store in Tokyo and I love it. It hasn't been cold enough to wear it yet but hopefully soon.

I think the fit is perfect 👍. Glad you picked one up. Prefer the workshirts also myself but it's nice to just rip off the shirt using the snap buttons.

Mine arrived today, but I got the western style in a L which is more fitted and arms aren’t baggy at all-yet I can wear a Tee or Henley underneath if I want. This pattern and color is amazing, and the flannel doesn’t feel scratchy to me at all. Worth every penny!

@@CameronO I definitely think you should take the dive, Cameron, for I believe you’ll become an instant convert to the western fit. I posted a pic of me wearing it on the Iron Heart forum on the thread: IHSH-309-PUR - Ultra Heavy Flannel Western Shirt. You can see what I’m talking about with regards to the fit, which I think is just perfect. That indigo looks like it’s going to be amazing, I wish I could add it to my flannel rotation as well, but it ain’t cheap! 🤪

Really informative video as always! Can anyone provide a compare and contrast between this and the iron heart ombre work shirt that was reviewed a few months ago? I’m torn between which on I should get.

It looks great but the Iron Heart UHF western is more fitted. I got a stunning purple, black, and rose tartan UHF from them last year and it’s amazing. I wore it more than any other flannel last year.
I think my next heavy flannel is going to be a western for sure!

Good choice! Im inching closer to a western, most places stock westerns over work shirts anyway and the fact westerns are more fitted it's starting to win me over!
@@CameronO yeah I wasn’t convinced by westerns either but the slimmer and slightly longer body eventually won me over, the poppers are super handy too!

I hadn't seen them until launch, I was hoping for a more winter type coat so i might leave it as I have my PBJ type 2 sashiko jacket which i bloody love! I'd just be getting it for the sake of it. It is nice though!

Your video pretty much cinched it for me. Picked up the last one available in my size.
When the shirt was first released, I was eying it but held off. I was going to hold out for the yellow crazy check however, that shirt might actually be too crazy for me or just my style. This purple one is definitely the best UHF release IH has done this season plus my daughter's favorite color is purple so that makes it even more fun.

@@CameronO I asked questions about the indigo uhf but I ultimately resisted as well. So glad I did. Too much quantity ruins the quality of the experience.

How do these compare to the UES flannel in terms of fit, comfort, warmth, weight, breathability?
Right, so I'll say i don't have a 'typical' UES heavy. I have the indigo dobby from UES. BUT, i did get a second hand UES heavy last week, it was too big so had to send it back. Though from that I do feel i love UES and how they are made. I only have the one IH UHF too so I am basing it off one item from each company. I will say this though, next time UES put out a heavy flannel that is not too out there I will be buying it!
I purchased an ultra heavy hoodie from Iron heart for $300 . It was a medium weight at best . IH denim is worth it. The rest is fluff.

I wear the same size in IH flannels. I'm Looking at getting a new FH flannel, how do you compare IH large to the FH 40? Is the IH bigger?
Hey Jesse, for me i find the flat heads running slightly smaller. Like this IH UHF is roomy in the arms for instance. I've not tried the latest green or salmon flat heads though. So not sure if the sizing is the same as the old ones.

Cheers Tommy, It's an old Explorer from the 90's. Though I'm currently on the list (apparently) for the new explorer. I'm due an upgrade if I can ever get one from the AD!
@@CameronO Explorer or Explorer ii? My friend was the first one offered an explorer I in NYC. He also has the last gen explorer ii and a bunch of others including white Daytona from AD. I only have the new GMT Master ii Batman on jubilee from my AD and couldn’t be happier. If you’re ever in the states I’m sure he’d be happy to help get you an explorer if your ad doesn’t pull through. I know it’s especially hard in UK and Australia

I’m thinking about buying an Iron Heart flannel. I’m usually a medium in other brands, but a lot of people say they run small and to size up. Would you say that’s accurate in your experience?
Yeah, i was a good large with IH. But as always make you check the measurements with something you already have.
Love them but they are very tiny
To be fair to iron heart they’re cut for a Japanese market, IHUK publish all the measurements and have the best customer service in the game so it’s pretty easy to make sure you get the right size
Hey man - Think my last comment got deleted? Maybe because I had a link it in. But got this shirt because of you, so thanks ha! Also, they just released an indigo dyed buffalo check work shirt ( first time they have done this )! Super nice and will age amazingly I bet overtime. I had to get that one as well.
