This is amazing info, started playing recently and planning to do a proper league start for 3.11 as a miner so this video could not have come at a better time. I hope you go through all the acts with these little nuggets that make leveling much smoother
I just love how some ARPGs are designed : you literally skip the campaign and run through various locations without touching the mobs like it's you just casually taking a jog through wastelands, barrens, caves full of monsters and whatnot :D PoE is indeed a speedrun simulator.
I'm a guy who takes 3day to complete 10acts. Especially, uses 3~5 hours in Act1. It's a hell of guild for me. Lightening Dmg. recipe was a hell of magic!
If you want a really good league start just train little bit. What i did what i create a character and run act 1 then next character again act 1 that about 5 times. after that 5x act 2 and so on. After that you need max. of 8 hours for act 1-10. Also you written guides with step by step guides for the first runs.
A guide for the filter would be great. I always do my own filter for late game etc. but never made my own league start filter for my pref. colors etc. Maybe add a chaos recipe filter because lots of ppl dont know how to do that and how good it is the first 3 days of a league start.
I love your video and all the explanation you do. Really great. I have to give you a tip though. Since these videos going towards people who do not know alot about all this, take your time a bit to show what you doing like swapping/buying gems, crafting etc. You dont need to hurry that much so new people into this can see actually what you doing and memorize it. Because sometimes can look overwhelming despite your good explanation and we need to pause to be able to tell what is going on exactly. Great job nevertheless, i watched whole video without getting tired. Awesome
This excellent video earned you a subscription. I'll be watching the whole series and practicing your tips before Gardening League. I've gotten pretty decent last two leagues but now its time to up my game to the next level. Thank you.
One of the biggest advantages I discovered was simply: *Set your inventory button to space* Remove/move your "switch weapons" key from x to something away from space bar (avoid accidently switch weapons) Like he mentions in the video, most of the time is gained from being able to manage inventory whilst moving, so being able to open and close inventory very easily is essential. The "i" key was a pain, often I would miss "i" or lose my hand placement when I returned to spells and movement keys. With Space key for inventory, you never need to move your hand. other tips: - Boss of first zone always drops RGB (place in offhand to level odd colour gems) - Search "nn" for the only boots with speed early = runners boots (sellers change loot each time you level)
you´re not alone. I´m bumbling around since half a year and barely managed lvl 28 in Act 2. all these builds / guides are super advanced.. finally something relatively simply explained!
Make a Ranger speedleveling guide and I will subcribe my entire family, my friends, my kids, my parents, my neighbors. Great video, great guide, bravo!
Well, play caustic arrow and toxic rain, from the beginning to the end, with war banner and ballista on the act 1, drop both ban and ballista after. Craft damage whenever you can on everything you can (rings, bow, amulet) without being 0 on resistances, to maximize Toxic Rain damage, while you mirage archer your caustic. Upgrade your bow, whenever you can, take optimal gem setup, despair curse, withering step/wither totem setup, malevolence. And that's it. Path your tree accordingly for bow DoT, and the HP/Eleres you need at your act. Practice, do it again, 4 hours~ achieved.
Wow you showed me a lot. I had no idea about that ring recipe. I play fighting games mostly so ARPGs are practically unknown to me. PoE content that says is geared for beginners i still find hard to understand. I die a lot to the bosses.
liked and subscribed great tutorial, even if i consider myself decent, doing 4-5h act 10, i still learned alot of stuff in this video, you never find videos were someone explain how racers really do it, great job. can you explain the trick that you do with vendors you click and move away, i still cant do that, maybe in a seperate video, plz thnx
The sound files not match with filter, so you need to fix 2 places: chisel, and swearing. Basically change the sound file name from "chisel 2" to "chisel" and "searing 1" to "swearing" (or swearing 2 to swearing). Make sure you guys patse sound files on "\My Games\Path of Exile", not the "My Games\Path of Exile\OnlineFilters"
Hey Asmo sorry to bother you with filter stuff I'm sure it's getting tiring by now, however I've grown quite fond of the filter sounds while practicing this build and I'd like to keep using them for future filters. I'd like to use a sound file for each type of currency, does the original source include these aswell? If so could you please point me to where you've got them or if it's 'homemade' and those sounds exist is there a chance I could get a link to the whole thing? Love your videos, good luck on leaguestart
Thanks, I've made my loot filters and all of their custom sounds available for Patreon supporters. The sounds are recorded by my partner and me and if you're interested you can find them here: www.patreon.com/asmodeuspatreon
For someone who is a slow leveler [it takes me few hours even with twink gear], what would be the best "upgrade" for increasing my leveling speed? Learning map layouts?
Layouts are actually not that important and take very long to learn. The most important thing is to have a plan and know ahead of time where and which gems you'll be getting and what links you need for them. Knowing which orbs you need for which craft and actively collecting them on the go. That will speed you up the most. Other than that, learn to check your resists and manage your items while running and think about what you need next so that when you shop at NPC you already know what you're looking for.
@@AsmodeusClips That makes sense. It's frustrating to me that sometimes I literally have to clear entire map before I find entrance to another location because idk what to look for. Especially in dungeon-like locations
@@Moozerty For most zones though you can tell the general direction you're aiming for, and you just keep going in that direction. You can just open your waypoint map and if the next zone is northeast of where you are, you will just generally have to move northeast. The only act that's a real exception to that rule is A1. For A6+, there's almost no zone that you don't progress in a straight line in the direction laid out on the waypoint map, complicated layouts are almost exclusive to the older content GGG made, like Vaal Ruins, Upper Prison, Caverns of Wrath.
The most important part of leveling quick is three things: a) do not kill everything. in fact, kill as few things as possible. Kill only these things: big packs of monsters, blue packs of monsters, strong boxes. Do NOT kill any unique monsters unless you need them for progress. While you should kill as few things as possible, do not skip big packs, and if you decide to kill a pack, do actually kill it. if you only damage them to 10% hp, they won't give any XP. At the same time, if you have a pack of 15 monsters and you killed 12 of them and three are left with 40% xp, that's the time where you do not kill the remaining ones and rather move on. b) Do not stop moving. play a skill that does damage while you move for leveling. Of course, this is depending on what build you're leveling but try to get a level setup with this property. c) the hideout/town is lava. spend as little time as possible in town or in hideout. follow these three things as much as possible, and your leveling speed will increase tremendously.
Master of recipe. I so need to learn a bit of them. I started SSF in 3.11 and your video gonna help me a lot with the Harvest League. I planned to start with a Templar. What is your suggestion about the starting skill?
It would be so much more helpfull, if you could take more time pointing out, which skillgems we have to switch and link at which level and to put to leveling in offhand. In the video these steps are super fast and hard to see. :(
I have the exact same thoughts. Might be difficult to edit the video now, so perhaps can put up a note to say which gem to start with, what to swap and so on and so forth. Thanks for making such a video.
Do what I do, make your own path of building based off his videos. Rewind until you catch what he is doing and add notes to your path of building. That way you are not trying to follow his video while leveling. To be honest there are a lot of good miner step by step builds out there, the early focus is on getting the right sockets and crafting your wands.
I don't since this video is just me commentating my run. It's an accumulation of knowledge that would take a lot to write down since a lot of it is also situational
@@AsmodeusClips True. was thinking maybe just which skill links are important to get at which points, etc. I can watch it and write some notes for myself, np. Thanks for doing this

Of course, just focus on getting leap slam and either 1 or 2 handed weapons. OOS and FB are super strong but you can try Sunder and it should be equally quick until it starts following off at act3 without some weapon upgrades.

So, he's doing a miner in this build which is why he needed the BBB and BBG linkages. If for instance you're doing a CA Trickster you'd want a different setup for early links.
@@mpam002 Hmm, I'd ask the guy making the video honestly. I would figure if you're doing a melee build you'd probably hit RRR or RRG, Ranged builds ususally GGR or GGB maybe even GGG and then Spells would most likely be BBG or BBB depending on what skill and supports you're using. IE: If I was making a necro I'd take SRS Melee Splash and Minion Damage for a BRB setup.
I was tired last night and didn't read the next paragraph in your description... Perhaps the custom sound is fine for your personal use but should be removed when you're giving it to small brains like me.

Can anyone give explanation for that socket color choice at the beginning (BBB, BBG)? Is it specifically for Shadow/this build?
So, he's doing a miner in this build which is why he needed the BBB and BBG linkages.
If for instance you're doing a CA Trickster you'd want a different setup for early links.
@@Twitch_Fox where i can find what colour choice i should make for each build?
@@mpam002 Hmm, I'd ask the guy making the video honestly.
I would figure if you're doing a melee build you'd probably hit RRR or RRG, Ranged builds ususally GGR or GGB maybe even GGG and then Spells would most likely be BBG or BBB depending on what skill and supports you're using.
IE: If I was making a necro I'd take SRS Melee Splash and Minion Damage for a BRB setup.
"Wonderful map.mp3" is making the filter not work for me, right? is anyone else having this problem?
That's a good map.mp3
I had to delete all the .mp3 "custom" references before this filter would load for me, bruh.
I was tired last night and didn't read the next paragraph in your description... Perhaps the custom sound is fine for your personal use but should be removed when you're giving it to small brains like me.
Can someone recommend me or give me a leveling filter? I'm thinking of playing this: watch?v=ytu2R897vss
