    It is a 27 liter back, but the extra side pockets add 1,5 liter each. So the fully capacity are at 30 liter total. Good review, it’s a lovely rucksack!

    Love the 'erm' and the pack slapping - so true😅 Love how Wildcamping and it's associated gear has become a sub-culture all of its own. A fun club to be in✊🏻

      Pack slapping is essential and an involuntary part of reviewing any bulky product 🤣

    Good review, Chris! The pack is supposed to be 27L, and the rings that you mentioned on the seat cover are supposed to look like the rings of a tree (Stubben can be translated as "Stump"... :). Hope to see more vids coming!

    Very thorough review, thanks. In my experience the leather parts can easily go hard and dry after a while. How do you intend to protect them? Also how much is one of these please? Thanks

    • @MCMOutdoors
      @MCMOutdoors  4 роки тому

      Hi, mine was approx £240 GBP including the side pouches. This version is now discontinued and its called the Singhi Stubben now - there is less detailing and little to no leather on the new ones.
      As for keeping the leather supple on mine, I just use some wax, such as that made for leather walking boots. Keeps it supple and well conditioned.
      It's a lovely pack. Timeless.
      Check out the Singhi Stubben or keep an eye out for a second hand original one.

    Thanks for the review. we ll presented. . I love the look of this product but I'm needing something larger to carry overnight camp gear , food and winter clothing. sadly this won't be big enough.

    Hmmm must admit I need a new day and camping pack. I am at present getting rid of all of my cheap, 'heavy' hiking gear and replacing it with lightweight gear, which is a lot more expensive - backpacks next! Nice drone footage again Chris, at the end. Cheers Alan

    I took a good long look at this pack a few years ago primarily for my bushcrafty style wild woodland camps. As you said fjallraven do some great gear but for an outdoor gear addict I find them frustratingly over priced. It's bloody good but ultimately I can't chuck that much wedge at the brand knowing there are other equally good brands where my hard earned could go further. I settled on a brand new old stock Swedish LK35 for smashing about in the woods and it's such a great pack for that purpose. It's as tough as old boots, built to be abused. It's huge and carries heavy loads well. How are you getting on with the stubby?

    • @MCMOutdoors
      @MCMOutdoors  5 років тому

      Alright mate, totally agree re the price.... Was a bit of a luxury purchase. Its going well, still in good condition and hopefully will keep going for many years.
      I've got an LK35 too which I use for woodland hammock camps and yep, great bag and built to last - tough as old boots!

    Great looking pack, and great idea that it comes as a "seat". I know what you mean about the "wet back", people seem to worry about that way too much !!
    Here in Canada though, the last thing you want in Winter, is a wet back !! haha. Looks comfy enough, and very practical. Could've done with one of those instead of the old 58
    pattern webbing I had in my first few years in the Army !! Great review pal, and another great video.

    Thank you very much for this nice review! Can you please tell me how you fit in your Mavic? Is it a suitable backpack for transporting all your drone equipment?

    • @MCMOutdoors
      @MCMOutdoors  6 років тому

      Hi, thanks for watching. The pack easily fits in my Mavic. I have the Fly More combo which includes a carry case - this is quite small and easily fits in the base of the Stubben, with plenty of room for other equipment etc. Hope this helps. Have a great 2018 !

    • @preventingharmpictures7816
      @preventingharmpictures7816 6 років тому +1

      OK, so you you just put the complete fly more combo bag inside this stubben backpack. That is a good solution. Thank you very for your reply! Best wishes for you too!

    • @MCMOutdoors
      @MCMOutdoors  6 років тому

      Yeah that’s basically it. I could separate all the parts and have the controller in the front zipper but find the carry case fits in the base just fine.

  • @Shadow1776
    @Shadow1776 5 років тому +1

    I'm looking at this backpack but is there enough space for a winter overnighter, sleeping bag, tent, food and clothing?

    • @MCMOutdoors
      @MCMOutdoors  5 років тому

      Stevie..... I'd say not mate. Its a top pack but more of a day pack. Then again if you can pack ultra light and small you might get away with it 👍

    Great video, I just bought mine, and am expecting it to be delivered next week. Nice to see the drone footage 👍 did or will you use the wax on the backpack ?

    • @MCMOutdoors
      @MCMOutdoors  6 років тому +1

      I haven’t needed to yet, but Fjallraven sell wax for it - I will just get a bar of that to rub on.

      27L without the side pockets which add on about another 5 each - you can't get this version anymore sadly, they make a newer one - similar, called the "Singi Stubben" but not as good in my opinion.
