Unfortunately society today is hypocritical & a pick & choose society. State facts about anyone that someone admires, u are a "hater" but the same ppl throwing out the "hater" claim may not be found of a different person u may admire. To me, the real story, is that Caitlin is conducting herself with more grace and class than a lot of these older, more experienced ladies. I'm thinking there's a correlation there between that and her success.

Mr. Sharpe, thank you for a great show. I am a 52 year old white male. I have always tried to treat everyone equally. Raised my kids to see people not color. I rooted for Michael Jordan because I recognized excellence. I enjoy Caitlin and Angel. Each girl has a talent. Nancy was played college ball just a couple miles down the road from me. I think the world needs to stop basing opinions on color. It won’t happen in my life. I can only hope in my kids. If people need a color then what color is the blood? It’s the same for all. So we should lift these ladies up, lift up the young kids both boys and girls who see them and others achieve. Maybe it’s a pipe dream but I’ll pray for it anyhow. Stop trying to create a world that doesn’t exist. Whites and blacks are very different and I’m not referring to skin color. Our skulls are shaped differently, our ancient ancestry is different. Our mental aptitude and behavioral tendencies are different. Does that mean we should hate one another? I think the reason so many people love Clark is the way she presents herself. She is humble and seems do genuine and not full of herself. When I hear many of the other women speak they give the impression the league owes them something. I had never watched the WNBA, not even news clips, until I stumbled upon UA-cam shorts of Caitlin Clark getting beat up and the jealousies. With all the videos I've been watching of Caitlin Clark, UA-cam has now prioritized Caitlin Clark content on my homepage. That's primarily what I've been viewing on UA-cam lately.
I mentioned to my brother about the upcoming Indiana Fever at Washington Mystics game September 19. He plans to buy tickets for himself and his son. Meanwhile, living near San Francisco without a WNBA team until 2025, I intend to purchase an online subscription to watch the game.

I think Swoops was embarrassed that Nancy called her out on not doing her research before making her comments on CC. So she lashed out at her instead of correcting her mistakes. Also, I believe that she is jealous of all the attention that CC is getting. As you said, today it’s all about social media. The great players in the past did not get the same exposure as there was no social media at that time.

(actually one of them went and ran into Clark intentionally while the two coaches were fighting and the clock was stopped.

CC broke all the records in college and was a unanimous first overall pick plus her game is unlike anything the W had ever seen. She stands on her own

🤦🏽♂️ I agree to some extent, but without the rivalry and that viral moment between them in the Final Four some of that popularity is diminished. Also the race angel cuts both ways when it comes to CC. The attention is supercharged partially because she is white/wholesome/girl-next-door persona but there is backlash from others that didn't receive the same spotlight.
Go through this thought exercise. Let give Allen Iverson, Steph Curry's game. Allen retains all his street swag and roughness. He isn't embraced the way Curry is universally. But within "the culture" he is just as big or even bigger if he wins multiple NBA championships.
I think most people aren't smart or objective enough to separate all the bias factors in operation here.
Really sad because Clark and Reese did not ask for any of this. Clark belonged on the Olympic team to help the sport. And Reese being there on the team with Clark would have squashed some of the racial animous involved with people's perception.
Bottom line is CC is fun to watch and she had a style like no one else. Also, I think she does a great job at media events and she praises her teammates and the opponents for their work. For her age, she is amazing. She takes responsibility for what she could improve, but you listen and she always praises her teammates. Class act.
The cheap shots on catlin Clark have to stop. As a pro athlete you know those hits shorten your career. And as you age the aches and pains increase.
