Ridiculous take... I'm european, but facts are facts. Outside football(soccer), there's no bigger sports market than US. WNBA players only come to Europe to play because they have the need to play ang get payed after the WNBA season is over. Otherwise they would stay there all year long.
Caitlin Clark is different because she didn’t go to a powerhouse school like UConn, LSU, Baylor, Texas, South Carolina or Tennessee. She went to Iowa and put Iowa women’s basketball on the map and she built up her resume, popularity and fanbase at Iowa and she brought her resume, popularity and fanbase from Iowa to the WNBA and the Fever.
She wasn't good enough to go to a powerhouse school 😂

Yes that is what this is all about, she went to Iowa and achieved what some thought was impossible. I played for Iowa and the treatment I got when I tried out for the WNBA was terrible I was out playing girls who went big name schools like Tenneesse and Uconn at the time but they just ushered them into the WNBA. Now ten years later comes CC and now everyone is mad :(. Like we can't all get on the bandwagon because she played for the Hawkeyes. I got talked about so bad because I choose to play for Iowa at a black girl. Well guess what I support C.C. because she put some respect on my decision to play for Iowa.

Yes... The WNBA needs their Magic and Bird. This is how a league grows in popularity. It's not everything at once, it's a handful of players at a time. I truly hope the WNBA grows into one of the Major US pro sports in my lifetime. But for that to happen the fans, current players, and former players are going to have to accept that the league they knew has to change and that the young players joining the league are going to be more popular regardless of how good they are.

Why is Unc acting like he doesn’t understand why the ratings dropped after The Fever were eliminated… and also he seems to forget that his words carry a lot of weight so when he over praises CC and brushes aside the rest of the talent in the league (outside of A’ja) they never mention what Kahleah Cooper, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Napheesa Collier, Arike Ogunbowale, Jewel Lloyd, CC got 2 All Star teammates that Unc and Ocho only talk about because they happen to be part of the Fever even tho they were both All Stars before CC got there and they get brushed aside.
And even with this video they were completely disrespectful… they couldn’t even be bothered to learn ALL 5 players on the All Rookie Team. And they also seem to forget that before that LSU vs Iowa National Title game people weren’t talking about CC before that tournament began.. the talk of the town was Paige Bueckers.
And they seem to forget that Cameron Brink who is a superior player in my opinion because her game is more complete if you look objectively at both sides of the ball. They also forgot it took the coach a long time to figure out Rickea Jackson was special so that hurt her numbers… look at what she doing when she became a starter… now imagine that with Brinks return next season and possibly being able to draft Paige.

These voters determine a lot of things and if you can't get the answer right on something so simple you need to be questioned. Reese was a good player. Reese broke records as well but she didn't have the impact Clark had. When Reese went on her record double-double streak the team that was on the brink of the playoffs before the all star break became a losing team.
Cordosa was a better player than Reese. The numbers won't say it because Witherspoon prioritized Reese over everything. Cordosa shot almost 10% better from the field than Reese. Cordosa is just the better offensive player. Witherspoon didn't play her and Witherspoon got fired.
