Hey, some people use an entire spare bedroom for a home office, a workout space, a media/movie room, or a closet. I chose to use my spare room as a closet 😄.

...and that's why I got my closet necessities from Wal-Mart...I've got 7 tall bookcases for my shoes and handbags, 6 chrome garment racks (one is a dual chrome rack) for hanging clothes and it has the bottom built for holding containers, a small chest of drawers for undergarments, pajamas, and workout clothes, 2 door mirrors (one on the door and one on the wall), two standing lamps, 3 giant containers for extra storing of clothes, 3 mid-size containers and 2 of those sizeable hard plastic drawers for more clothing storage which I simply store all the containers and plastic drawers under the chrome garment racks, one flat smaller container for closet knick knacks like storing linen rollers, needle and thread, shoe guards, fashion books, garbage bags, and such, a smaller set of hard plastic drawers to use as a large jewelry case, and a 32 inch TV all from Wal-Mart. I have another very small set of drawers also used for jewelry and sun glasses from Family Dollar, I have a nice size comfortable vintage armchair where I sit to just hangout in my closet or for putting on shoes and two small vintage jewelry boxes from my local thrift store... and I spent UNDER $1000 for EVERYTHING, though I had my room closet now for a little over 5 years so the pricing is based prior to now. But also, I suppose my approach at forming my spare room to be used as a closet was to have it for that purpose so I just got basic shelving and racks to serve that use and vision. In other words, I didn't care for all the frills and thrills of what California Closets or even IKEA had to offer and I didn't care to have a chandelier installed...I mean it's a closet and dressing room versus a foyer or formal dining room. Yet, I'd have to respectfully say to each her own. For me, my room closet indeed serves its purpose at it is indeed my own personal in-house boutique 😄. Nevertheless, whatever a person can do or decide to do, if in fact you could use or even need (to be honest) a spare room as a closet, it could in fact be done on even the most limited budget and not to mention, everything doesn't necessarily have to be done and bought at once.
