Nice (successful) try to get around showing us most of the acoustic kits/sounds, the thing we're most interested in. I know it's to not reveal otherwise obvious machine gunning, which you almost, but only almost accomplished. Really Roland, other manufacturers & reviewers, we're not mainly interested in the electronic sounds (that's really not a novelty anymore by any stretch), and if you're not confident enough in your own product to CLEARLY show the acoustic sounds and how they sound when played as a roll, why even bring it to the market ?? The only logical reason to use a module instead of triggering sounds in a laptop would be acoustic sounds that are on par with drum software.
I think this module was created especially for hibrid drumming...that' s why...i want to use this module with my acoustic set to achieve a great sound and i think this tm6 it is just perfect...
Metin Osman Okay, but the TD17 also takes its sounds from the td50 and I can trigger samples just like a spdsx and the tm6 pro. So what exactly is the point of this? It looks nicer, but functionally I haven't found a different yet.
I think the differences between those 2 modules are the 3 knobs you can change instantly some parameters(transient ...atack, mfx, pitch etc) in live gigs...500 one shot sounds..real sounds not V sounds....and many other features ..and i think for me is just perfect..i.ve already ordered one...if you want ..i will sent you one video with my hybrid drumkit...
Metin Osman . What I understand is all the sounds that are on the TM-6 are new. They don't appear on other previous Roland modules. And made for acoustic drums layering.
no - seriously,,,, i want my drum tech to look like a drum tech !!!! both these guys are dressed like they work at a "jiffy lube", and about to change my oil.......sorry A's but this time , i just had to laugh out loud... cheers peoples....

If the TD17 allows sample playback and is $599, why do I want this?

The TM6 has 4 direct outputs, which for someone like me is much better than a regular stereo main output

So you judge people on how they look, not how they do their job?
but imitatsii live drums and no one smekalki
ok.....wtf is a "single shot" sound? Geez.....15 minutes of NOTHING. This is really not y'all's bag.
It's a sample with one volume - ie single shot, no dynamics.
