Okay, but showing her praying to Athena in the morning at the home alter made me REALLY happy as a Hellenic Pagan. The heart of worship back then was within the home and this is the ONLY animatic that's shown this. Makes me really happy

Your art style really is just absolutely gorgeous, and the details are SO GOOD. Penelope's design is top tier, chef's kiss. She reminds me of Megara from Hercules in a really good way. Not enough to feel like a copy, but enough there is a distinctive association with the sassiness in some of her mannerisms. Which means 10/10 very smart character design. I saw 2:28 and GASP, my breath was taken away. Who cares about Helen. With her pointed ears drawing more attention to her naiad heritage and you illustrating the storm, it gives extra depth and leaves me wondering if she knew and commented how "the storm was far from the norm" because she could sense the difference. The lettering on the tapestry. The detailed presence of owls EVERYWHERE not only shows how Athena was Odysseus' patron goddess but also foreshadows how she is still VERY present in this situation. THE FUCKING RING!!!! That is an AMAZING original detail/subplot there, and really drives in that shocked gasp in the song. Like, that is real miracle fucking shit there. She absolutely should be breathless in surprise and take it as a literal sign from god. I love the carryover from Love in Paradise where Athena collected the ring from where Calypso chucked it. (Really, fuck that noise.) If you decide to do Would You Fall In Love With Me Again, I get the feeling you'll incorporate that shit in a way that will leave me in TEARS.
I absolutely adored how she light candels for Athena and the fact she unstring the bow on purpose for the challenge, this small act makes her a more active character, cause she knows that only Ody can string it and that she just undone her husband work for a seemingly futile act for them. I thing she knows the suitors will be so pissed but she doesnt care. She really is a real queen and the best woman for Odysseus.
