The 'Rule Britannia' section on the swell and the continuance of the hornpipe on the great was an outstanding demonstration of technical skill! The video's description of it being tongue-in-cheek was beyond an apt one. This video brought a smile to my face for sure.
What a great postlude! My only funny postlude is the Haunted Organ from the Ghost and Mr Chicken. I play it every year on the Sunday closest to Halloween. So far, a few raised eyebrows, but no one got mad!
Simply, great fun...the opening, not doubt inspired by the orchestral performances of the hornpipe at 'The Last Night of the Proms' at the Royal Albert Hall, where concert-goers are known to add their 'own' contributions. As the for the intermingling of other pieces, well pure genius!
Apologies for the late reply. If you havent found it already, the title of the piece is "Fanfare" by Richard Purvis. I had the very same question when I first found this channel a while back, so I figured I would answer for anyone else who may find this video and ask.
Obviously, you weren't looking in the right direction. Look across the www. This was an emmence JOY. Rule Britania and here comes Ives and Widow and Popeye... "Eat your spinich boys and girls." Toot, toot! Remember? I'm still laughing. CVD
That 'Rule Britannia' towards the end was a spot on particularly nice touch - it just completes 'College hornpipe' perfectly😂🎶
It was great! It was swell! It was positiv!

..did I notice just a hint of Bach's Brandenburg #3 in the beginning there?
Fun, Good FUN, Thank you.
That trombone pedal had a little too much spinach LOL
The whole piece runs along the theme of a Sailors Hornpipe, but includes themes such as Rule Britannia and Vivaldi's Four Seasons!
belle idée de sortie pour une messe... ça manque un peu , la gaîté dans les offices!!!!
Made me smile! :)
I hear Blue peter theme, Four seasons spring (Vivaldi), Rule Britannia, and Windor Toccata. COOL!!!

Captain Birdseye dancing the Hornpipe & manages to rope in Thomas Arne and Charles-Marie Widor as well.

I'd like to think Widor would have a good laugh!
@Fredrik Larsson Very punny!
What is played at 2:43? It is very pretty.

A wonderful break from the norm. Could not have been better.

Makes me wish the organs in my town were bigger...
POPEYE
I failed to understand the laugh part. But I do find him an accomplished organist.
+Amitava Manna "Just for laughs" means "just for fun."

Popeye
Harmonic trumpet is so so. It's ok but the reed vowel is not quite all that outstanding. Otherwise the organ is very good as is the playing.
I did not see any laughing
