Jake- I used to work for a law firm in which we represented property owners whose land was being purchased/used for expansion. This process is called Eminent Domain. Yes you can counteroffer for the sell price, and also counter on what the city will keep on your lawn during the construction process. The construction plans should show where they plan to keep/store equipment and how much of the land is being taken. Ask to review the offer letter and construction plans. It’s your land! You have rights!

I totally agree about going from 0 to 1 kid. That was the absolute hardest for me. All the others after have been a much smoother transition and now I am expecting baby #4. 😊
Congratz! and going to 4 kids was my easiest transition by far, 0-1 and 2-3 were the hardest for us...

lol I'm with Katie and Trey's mom about trip planning and packing lol .. I've traveled quite a bit with my kids (now 4 and 2) and I legit have excel spreadsheets to organize all the info, itinerary and packing stuff lol

I 100% relate to the packing stress! My advice for Katie (coming from a mom of 3 boys that travels frequently and often a month at a time): Pack roughly what he would wear for 5-7 days and i bring all the diaper/med/wash/sleep time routine things you use now or rely on (it may even be helpful to start gathering all those items in one spot like a changing table basket)
Don't forget extra wipes and a wet bag in case of 💩 emergency. 😂 Always have Tylenol on hand as well.
My greatest comfort is knowing I should be able to buy anything I forget. Best of luck!

I love Matt and Abby, and for the people who think they “exploit” there kids. They really don’t. They are caring people, and love their kids and protect them. That’s why they don’t show them.

The property thing is called Eminent Domain, and it’s a legal way for the government to take your private property for public use. I learned about this in college during Agriculture Law. From a farmer’s perspective it’s annoying, but in your case you may appreciate it. They are supposed to pay you fair market value for the amount of property they are taking, so I would try to get information about what acreage they are taking, and speak to some appraisers to see what the value should be.

My brother married someone with my sister’s name! They were married 15 years (HS sweethearts) before my sister was, so my sis & SIL had the same name for a long time! They had to kind of fight over who got which social media handle. 🤣
We had 33 lbs of candy including just one box of full size candy bars. I chose who got big bars based on the costumes I loved. I did get harassed by little girls who wanted gummy eyeballs. We had 160 trick or treaters at my in-laws in small town Minnesota. It was awesome! Reminded me of my childhood with tons of kids.
You guys should do a video about the people who make a big deal about getting done with Halloween and immediately start celebrating Christmas..

Katie is sooooo right about packing for a baby!!! I have a google doc that lists all the things I have to bring! 😅
Katie, PACKING CUBES! they're amazing for babies and kids. I use one large one for all the outfits and pjs. Another one for socks, bibs, burp clothes, etc. Another one for random stuff like binkies, meds, toys, etc. That stuff all goes in the suitcases. Diaper bag/backpack for traveling time, with 3 days worth of necessities (including clothes) just in case the luggage gets lost. And then pack a smaller bag for quick half day trips where you don't want the big bag for.
And you absolutely want a note on your phone with your list. Because you need to be sure you bring it all home with you lol

Matt is a handworker and a great story creator. I am a new Dad of 3 in my mid forties, and I appreciate the fatherhood perspective he puts out in the media. Trey is a favorite too, for similar reasons.

Method acting means you aren't actually kissing the other person?? As a previous theatre actress myself, personally, I disagree. Never auditioned for a lead role if it included romance because I just couldn't. Here is how I think of it: if I can't act comfortably with a sibling opposite of me, it's too far!😄

These comments are crazy. Can we go back to the good ole days where we don’t cancel people for things that are personal obsessions. “Exploiting their children for money…” more like that’s the season they are in in life. People just enjoy watching them.
The “good ole days” you speak of is when social media did not exist. Stop developing parasocial relationships with this kind. There are child predators that watch these children and they’re being served up on a platter for the world to see. Please open your eyes to this type of abuse. Children’s safety is non-negotiable.
