I am soo glad you started about bringing garbage bags with at 8:14. A couple of weeks ago I went fishign with my nephew (9) at a cannal near the coast and first I had to do was clean it from all garbage before we could start fishing. So I told my nephew to always take a bag with to put all your gabage in and take it home.

Awesome video guys!! It’s great to see you using European tactics to enjoy catching carp. I’ve fished all over Europe and caught carp upto 60lb and catfish to 100lb (not that big in Europe)
Just a tip, you can’t play carp that hard, pump and wind and ripping it in like a bass just doesn’t work, which is why you lost the big carp. They have much softer mouths than bass, you’ll pull the hook / rip it through their soft mouths. Watch any European carp YT channels and you’ll see them maintain a steady tight pressure, no jerking or fast pump & wind. Hope you take this as constructive, I don’t mean to sound like I’m hating. I was gutted you lost that big one.

That first carp i was damn impressed by the way you fought and played the fish, very not lady like, as usually you see ladys just being dragged allover, cant reel, hold the rod out by the butt, you have it down, you felt the braid rubbing so you stretched the rod out to try avoid it. but the only thing i seen that u could improve is you left like a metre of line at the end when you grabbed the net and the full weight of the fish was nearly outta the water, i was thinking any second now, that hook is gonna pull through the lip or somethings gonna give.... Just give it 3 metres of line or so, rod in the air so the fish is just holding itself laying flat on top of the water, floating in a way while the line is still taught, no strain on that hook pull and if the fish wants to go again it can... Other than that whoever taught you to fish properly, did a damn good job. Props to that person.... 💪💪👍👍

Brianna, great fishing, some quality carp there. Well done for picking up all that rubbish, you are a sweetheart. There's no excuse for people to leave it behind, disgraceful. I always say if you can bring it with you when it's full, you can take the empty packaging away with you.

I use to have that same net, except i tape 1 of my old hockey sticks to the handle, worked goot walleye trolling lake huron, except treble hooks kept getting caught in it during tournaments, so i started cutting hooks out, was a cheap $25 Walmart net, i got a nice new thick rubber net, no hooks get caught in, u can flip fish right out

As an Aussie it always seems weird to watch people releasing European Carp back into the water, the English do it a lot.
Here we get fined because they are an invasive species, I used to use them as bait to catch freshwater crayfish.
They are great fun to catch on lite tackle and sometimes I even target them but we don't use the types of rigs/baits the rest of the world does. We have either a Paternoster or a running sinker rig, couple of worms or if you are only targeting Carp a couple bits of sweet corn or some white bread.
You might wanna look into getting some "bobbings' for in front of the alarms. They work for when then carp picks up the bait and swims towards you. The way your set up here you wouldn't register much as there would be no line being taken. If you get what I mean. 😂
I actually got a couple of those with the fish alarm setup. Just have to figure out how to actually use them. I know they’re fish indicators tho!

I ordered one and it didn’t say how big it was but said “for carp” and was tiny lol so in the process of finding one big enough

Carp are extremely boney and don’t taste that great. Most people don’t eat them. I also don’t really eat fish, I more enjoy the sport.
Plus, carp are bottom/garbage eaters. Would be like eating a vulture.🤢
that you are not ashamed to put fish on stones, in our country I would receive some kind of punishment from the fishing guard for such behavior towards the fish.

PLEASE PLEASE use a freeking landing mat to lay the fish on and NOT the rocks. Think a bit of how to protect the fish from across and damages. It makes me mad that you buy all the other gear and not a landing mat. True what they say. All the gear and no idea.
