Saludos....
Wow, I like that. Could the heating coil be be detachable to add, say 2m of flexible (and thick) copper cables in between ? This could be much more versatile if used for plumbing/brazing. Would anybody have a thought on this beyond "don't make any loops in your cable" ?
Amazing project would like a part's list so that i can make one for a knife smiting shopas i belong to a shop that gives free classes to veterans and could really use this machine

those were cold solder joints to the copper tubing. Don't heat the solder, heat the tubing, and then melt the solder. Those will fail. great idea, not the best material (wood).
Nice job man thanks for sharing, i see the machine is tripping due to over-current, if one gets a welder with 100% duty cycle is it going to prevent the OC trip error? again thank you for this nice and informative video.
How long can this run? What is the max temperature it can achieve? I want to make this and use it to melt gold with crucible. Will this be good enough for this Operation? Thank you.
If you use exterior tubing with wire centered in it, wouldn't you have an adjustable coil? You just need to make sure fluid can flow through the tube and over the wire! Cheers! If you try it, please let me know how it goes! It might be an interesting idea with interesting results! 🙏 Added input.... You may be able to use plastic and coil it around the wire before you insert it into the tube! That should allow for flexibility and coolant flow!
Apa alat ini akan di jual? Dan brp harga jualnya jika di jual. Kami tertarik dgn barang ini. Mohon di informasi KPD kami. Kami sangat butuh dengan barang ini.🙏🙏🙏
I suspect you should size them to give a similar resonant frequency response to what the welder normally would operate at. Anything at that frequency or lower should be OK, just don't add too much and drag things down below 20kHz, for the love of all young ears around you.
@@zinckensteel Note that a capacitor has a rated maximum current. Usually around 50 amps. Increasing the current means more capacitors in parallel and adjusting the values to resonate. Overcurrent the capacitor and it will quickly blow out, maybe in seconds if you try 200 amps!
ok, one thing i would advise ,although probably not nessesary, i would turn your machine on first before just putting your metal in your coil, all of the induction heaters i built had (latch up), problems because of too much or too big of a peice of metal being put in the coil. turning on my induction heaters first, then slowly putting in my metal did help, but....all of my induction heaters i built were built using mosfets, i did get latch ups, and going through seval mosfets. but this idea of using igbts may all together may not matter, (perventing latch ups all together), i have one of these types of welders, mines from harbour freight,i think i'll try this at some point, i think it's a great idea thanks for the video, one thing also i was wondering is, how thick is the metal on the handle of your hammer? i coulnd'nt tell.
You don't need to worry too much about the capacity of the welding machine because most IGBT electronic welding machines can be used. Thank you for watch
A part list would have been nice but ogtherwise, tremendous job on the project. welders being cheap these days will make this a popular video !!
WOW ITS SO SIMPLE, YOU MADE A NEW MACHINE WOWWWW SIMPLE SIMPLE
That's an idea! Awesome! And you didn't even repurpose the original welder, just add functionality to it! Ingenious.
Thank you!
@@D.creativedoes the induction heat cupper? or it just for iron?
@@hamidsoltan1433 Just for iron, stainless steel, some types of brass. No good for copper and aluminum.
Wood used to be used as an electrical insulator long ago, but to see it inside a welder is 'surprising'!
Nice job. Induction heaters are rare tool builds. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Thank you
Putting capacitors inside of copper pipe, gave me much satisfaction feeling. 😁
Your job is really good
Can you explain what those capacitors are for ?
I would have thought it would work without them
Am so definitely trying this. I was to buy induction machine but not anymore.
Biurifu video
Did you tried this?
Imensamente grato.
Thank you. Wishing you all good things
Take my credit! You are great!
Excelente video Sr.
Excellent project. Can you provide design data (frequency, L and C calculation) ?

How do I know how many capacitors to put?
The plastic calipers are amazing 🤐

Would it work as well with 6 inch heating coil?
it will work but have to change the number of turns of wire
Thanks for watching the video

does the induction heat cupper? or it just heat iron? please answer

This needs quite more enery because gold is not ferromagentic. Only Ferromagnetic metal could heated up.This works similar like an inductive cocker.
Is that Works on Copper welding ?????
Khoang 200 usd $ nau chay duoc vang.nhung can cai noi mini co can dai de cam cho bot nong
No - only ferromagnetic material can be heat-up
Bạn có bán máy đó ko ? Giá nhiêu ?nếu hợp lý tôi mua ạ !
Another question please, can I put any capacitor I find? Because I didn't find any capacitors 220V 10 UF
Hi friend, good job! What abuot if you let the workpiece heat long time, will it melt? Which real power your device delivers? Thanks.
Very nice, but those welds could be way better. Not enough heat ? try some flux. Cheers.
BAD BAD : Smoke in the machine in 25 secunder

Yes!

I have a question please, can the device burn if I turn it on and do not put anything to heat it?

Switch to turn water pump and cooling fan on and off

Hello sir you are selling also or given idea
It appears this can only be done with an IGBT inverter type welder. My cracker box won’t do☹️
consider yourself lucky that your welder is saved from such a modification.
Parts list? Schematics please

How is the current feedback controlled ? Usually is from secondary and now is disabled
it is not. that's why buy the proper tool if you need it.

How many turn of copper pipe and the capacitors connected directly to the copper pipe no other electric connection?? Please advice thank you
It would be more efficient to use the Peltier cell, it cools better and does not use water and a pump.
Can we increase Coil Diameter Aprox 15 CM & Coil number 20-30 then its work or not ??
bạn nhận làm giúp mình được không
Something is wrong
Needs a smal cooling tower
Thanks

if using a 200 or 250amp welder will different size capacitors be needed in series on the heater pipe?

The welding machine's frequency of 35-40 kHz is enough to heat the iron. If you adjust the frequency to 100khz, the welding machine may be damaged
