Firebending, one of the four elemental bending arts, is the pyrokinetic ability to control fire. It is unique among the bending arts, as it is the only one in which the performer can generate the element. Firebending is known for its intense and aggressive attacking style and general lack of adequate defensive moves, although firebenders can modify offensive maneuvers to function as a defense, such as creating large walls of fire or shooting down incoming attacks with fire jabs.

Imagine how powerful Aangs firebending was during the final episode, first it was enhanced by sozins comet, and then combined with the avatar state, that's like times 4 power

More than that considering the amount of Avatars, which would've had more than double the boost to their individual fire power.
the Comet also comes every 100 years so at least 10 Avatars have experienced the boost by Sozin's Comet.

Well yes but actually no
The third eye tattoo is used for more precise, safer and stronger blasts of chi wheras the one combustion performed by zuko was simply because he didn't separate the positive and negative energy fully and because he wasn't in the right state of mind when he tried lightning bending. If zuko had put more power into his attempted lightning generation he may have seriously injured or killed himself.
Master Jeong-jeong deserved more screentime in the show. He was amazing!

Just noticed something. Looking at the segment on heat control. Sozin's movements in the volcano are the exact same motions Iroh uses for lightning redirection. Wonder if Sozin simply didn't pass that technique on so opponents would keep thinking lightning couldn't be redirected until Iroh rediscovered it? Not sure if that was intentional, but it wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being the case given Sozin's character
@Pie and Tflame possibly. Redirection specifically wasn't really showcased all that much when it came to firebending as I recall. I'd imagine heat control like that would be considered a fairly advanced technique unknown to your average firebender, regardless

@@mp.6058 I think it's highly unlikely that Sozin couldn't produce lightning. At that time, he certainly had the mindset to create "coldblooded fire" and likely the skill was only taught to elites. It would make sense to me that he might keep any counters to it as a closely guarded secret of the fire nation.

I mean, I would argue it would belong in this video more considering only one person has been shown to use it and it could be argued its the most powerful firebending move.

@Nameless it would literally vaporize your opponent if you're able to hit them. Take for instance when Aang rolls up into a rock ball and it takes Ozai an unnecessary amount of time to break it. One charged ball would break the ball as well as actually kill Aang.

I am hoping to see fire benders learn to condense flames so precisely they turn into lazers/high intensity plasma beams, or incorporate spirit energy into the fire to produce healing fire.
The capabilities with fire are vast, I think we think fire is limited because most firebenders themselves are limited

I think gaining better fine control over the fire you make opens up a lot of new abilities. What if someone mastered a martial art and used precise jet-propulsion/jet-stepping with their muscles to put more weight into their strikes or dodge easier, and combined that with basically turning their hand into a lightsaber (Plasma Blade) while weaving a heat mirage/illusion with their other hand (Heat Haze Clone)?
Alternatively, it might be possible to use fire to jet-propel earth/earth projectiles (some sort of stone projectile weapon gauntlet that works by shooting high-intensity flames into it) or just make lava bombs/explosions.
@@36moshpit7 imagine if finer fire control also ment better body temp regulation aswell. Like expelling excess body heat to keep cool( like for a dessert journey For example) or using it to to help accelerate the bodies internal functions, and self regeneration.

Damn zuko’s bending must have became much stronger after the show because I never knew he could produce that multi-colored fire.

Jeong Jeong is a powerful firebender. He's also very cool, or flamin', I guess and very adept with his craft. Just look at them firewalls and jet propulsion. I remember being very in awe when I first saw him as a kid.

There’s also jet propulsion through hands and feet as demonstrated by general iroh (legend of korra) when he jumped off his plane and went to attack the other air ships 😊

Here’s an idea I thought about recently: *_phosphorus bending,_* or the manipulation of white or red phosphorus.
White phosphorus, or _fósforo blanco,_ is the more dangerous of the two, so white phosphorus benders (such as Avatar Kuzon, the inventor of this technique) are more powerful than benders of red phosphorus.
Uses for phosphorus bending (especially white phosphorus) would be mostly combative, be it creating smokescreens to mask one’s escape, or as a ranged incendiary/explosive weapon.
Who is Avatar Kuzon? As far as I know,Kuzon is not an avatar,and he is probably dead by the time of ATLA.

I know right. I mean, only 70 years have passed and the only ones who knew lightning bending were the royal family. Like, Azula ain't gonna be teaching lightning bending to anyone (unless of course she is trying to kill them) and I doubt Zuko or uncle Iroh would open up a school like Toph.

If a third TV series is ever made, the writers need to create more blue firebenders, or at least more firebenders that can bend different colors. A shame Legend of Korra didn't have any.

@Reido Dorito the Dragons are the true masters of fire bending like Sky Bison are true masters of airbending. No matter how talented the human only a dragon can breathe fire in multiple hues and without harming people nearby. What Aang and Zuko saw was a hint at how multifacted fire truly is.
The shaman in Korra's time had a fire that glowed and shone as she used it, that is incredibly unique.
As Firebending emphasizes focus and clarity of mind, most people would stick to one color. Azula is supremely focused and also arrogant so her flames are blue, even in the throne room, and she never uses standard flames. Iroh on the other hand is a supreme master of firebending yet never bothered to change the color, simply because he is humble and more focused on technique. Ozai is even more powerful than his brother or daughter but prefers just to generate more flames and thicker flames.

If there was ever going to be the next Avatar series, they better show that more and more benders can now use sub-bendings and maybe have firebenders go for other colors showing that it takes skills and dedication to reach a high enough level beyond what most firebenders were capable of during Aang and Korra's time.

Anyone who slayed a dragon would be given the name Dragon of the..., Iroh claimed the slaying of a dragon. Hence his title Dragon of the West, not because he can breathe fire. Any competent fire bender can do that. And the tea thing is just Iroh stalling and doing what he love most. Drinking delicious tea.

Thier blood bending which allows water benders to bend the water inside a person in forcing there will over theirs. But for fire bender they should call it body heat bending

My birthday persona Rainbow Peacock uses the elements and the six colors of the rainbow in battle. She can firebend with red, orange, yellow, green, blue AND purple fire. She creates lightning in those colors too.

I think it would look more like Aang and Roku vs Kyoshi with korra getting beat the fuck up because she lacks anything close to the skills that the other three have.
@Powermentalx having korra on the team would be like the line from toph that goes something like this: "Okay 3, on 3+Sokka". Korra would definitely get her ass handed to her within a minute

@@itsyaboychipsahoy.7989 Although Aang is a pacifist and wouldn't end Korra, he would certainly wipe the floor with her. Korra is only ever on par with her opponents when she's in the avatar state. Without it, even sokka wouldn't have much trouble taking her down

In reality, the most hottest fire color is violet, and the most powerful lightning color is white...But in my personal theory, having violet fire and/or white lightning abilities could cause such fatal consequences to its bender. Whether it's enhanced by Sozin's comet or fueled by pure anger, hatred and rage or not...Since executing such powerful firebending might require an incredible amount of chi that a human's body cannot handle that if a certain bender was able to do such strong firebending, he/she may suffer to deadly risks that could take that firebender's life permanently.
Do you ever think how much Firelord Ozai underestimated Aang? First he actually though he would win against Aang, even though most of his moves are something we’ve seen before like with Azula. Most importantly, did he not think about how unfair this fight would have been? The Avatar controls all the elements, yeah Ozai pretty much mastered Fire and with the comet it would be even more powerful, but Aang can also control fire and with the comet making it even more powerful, that gave him a boost even with the Avatar State. And I know fire isn’t Aang’s most used element obviously that goes to air and water, but still, oof.
