As a fellow paint wiz I love how you explain everything from ventilation to lighting and constant air pressure because most people don't know or understand that's all these elements affect how you work and eliminating as much obstruction as possible. I love it bro.
Bless you Big Gary, I honestly wrote that sentence down after dinner yesterday, weird... time to make some changes! I will take this stage out comment as 'A sign!'... No idea what I am even doing here, but this is The Gas Monkey Paint-God yes? Stay creative mate. 🏆⚒️🇬🇧
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! Awesome shop, wish I could have watched your planning and thought process in setting things up. While working in dealerships for 25 years couldn’t stand dirty floors, swept and mooed after every job, bench wiped down, walls washed down. Guys who tracked their sludge through my area got spark plugs aimed at their head. Really miss the regular show but every couple of months with one detail of one build would be enough. BTW, spent an entire year on a repaint for my daughter, old 95 BMW 525i. Every time I primed a new blocked found something else BUT the result in the dark metallic green was great! Ain’t no Earl Schib’s. Not sure who remembers that or if I spelled it right but “any car, any color $89.95”. Thanks again for the update, wish I could work there with you, seems we have the same mind when it comes to work and cars.
@KCsPaintShop I feel that you should do more videos so that younger kids will know the value of HARD WORK. You're an amazing PERSON-Idol-man-Father-husband. Not any Football player or any move star on TV. You are someone I have looked up to since GMG aired on TV for inspiration and you (Kc) are my HERO brother keep up the hard work.
I am genuinely happy for your success - been following you since the beginning. Keep the vids coming for those of us that can only live our dreams vicariously through you✌🏼
I am glad to see you in action again. You took a lot of skill with you when you left Richard's shop as with Aaron. I painted professionally for 15yrs one place was AMGENERAL painting commercial and military Hummers and Humvees. And about 300 cars and trucks. Now after 5 totaled car wrecks and my Harley totalled with me on it. I am unable to paint and body anything. Best of in your business. Northwest Indiana bench racer. D
great seeing you getting some videos out. loved the video of you and your son stretching out the green truck on track, hope to see some more of that. also really interesting to hear about the business side of things and how you are figuring out the balance of happiness and paying bills!
Nice video and cool to see KC an his neat workshop. Too bad that the footage is sometimes blurry... Hope they will fix it in the next vids. Do more of that!
I built a racecar, with no paint job in the late 80's and it was around $30 Grand, I started feeling homesick for another one in the early 2003'ish, with the onset of fuel injection(My old one was carb'd) tuners, computers etc. I stopped counting at around $225,000 before the paint job to build a "Worthy" car that I could track or street. I only had $100,000 so needless to say, it didn't get built, then 2006-2008 happened, its been a long road to haul since, I also got pneumonia in 2008-2009 for 8 1/2 months but man, I really appreciate what you have done and being a business owner that is just me doing it all now, the fact that your shop is as clean as it is, I have to give you KUDOS on that, just that alone I decided to subscribe and like this video. I definitely like the work I have seen you put out on TV. Just remember and I tell myself all the time when I am getting down and burnt out, I would rather be doing my own thing than have to work for someone else again because simply, people are a$$hole$
I think you do a great job with education. I was one of the people that was new to the car world right about the time you made your split from the tv show. Saw you at a car show and you told me 40k for paint. I damn near passed out! But, after you explained it, it made complete sense. Most of us aren't cheap, we are just ignorant to the time, and parts cost.
Just finished up here at the pigeon forge F100 truck show. Lucky me I got to meet the real KC, what a beautiful sweet lady. Mr. KC is a lucky man. The truck is bad ass, love it. Keep the videos coming there great!!!
so happy to see this video. missed content from ya KC. understand doing what you want vs being pulled ways you dont want to go. stay true to yourself brother. if you can document a little of the 63 galaxie convertible, that be awesome
Awesome video fantastic shop you have put so much hard work in you deserve to work on what interests you to keep the passion alive God bless and stay safe in these troubled times 🙋♂️🇬🇧
I always thought KC was a huge part of GMG. Very funny and talented. IMO, a huge loss to the show. Such a great personality. I wish him all the best no matter what he wants to do as he always made me smile. Very charismatic.
Man I'm really glad to see y'all back an I'm hoping there is more coming I mis watching this especially late at night when I have nothing else to do lol on my projects. Where's Doug is he still around ?
Can we get some updates?? Love the videos, I’d love to see weekly (monthly, lol) on one car, so we can watch it move through the process of “kc’s paint, chassis, and obnoxious power shop” right up to the first drive..
"Hey Eric"? Haha is that guy still working with you guys! Welcome back, definitely looking forward to seeing more videos! I like the new shop and the "creature comforts". Haha
Big thanks to Erik for getting you to do another vid KC. Also hope your family is all well. Please continue as it’s great seeing what’s happening with your shop.
great to see ya KC .... nice shop ... the weekly videos dont matter its jus nice to see the best part of that crappy other show prosper and be happy .... waitin on yer next hotrod
KC, bro. You ain't lien. From a minitruckin back ground, ppl really dont know the expense..... Love ya from the beginning bro !!!! You are extremely talented bro. God bless
Now I just want to go to the shop to go to that restroom!!!!!!!......lol!!.....after I’m done go around the shop and turn on all of the air hoses to see if the compressors can keep up!!
Dig the shop! I love the way he broke down the expenses at the end. I have been building cars for a living for years , and even I have trouble digesting the expenses. Its like the bar is always being raised and its easy to get left behind. Mad respect for KC. I can tell he's had some hard lessons learned by the way he talks. I can relate to him.
back when you guys made the video of the property walk around when it was all grass, i was expecting to see a huge shop, then i see this.... damn i was wrong lol. i thought he was gonna keep all the workers, but what he said in the end made a lot of sense. that shop is really dope though ! more videos please haha
Hey KC I’m a big fan of your great work, and you’re absolutely correct on the shop cleaning because a clean shop is a happy shop. Same goes at home in my opinion, I put away every tool I use working on projects at home every time and clean everything up.
"I feel very comfortable in telling someone they can eat off the floor and feel good about it". Couple minutes later the dog walks by hacking up and sneezing on the floor! lol! 🤣🙃
I like the ideal about shutting down a little early on thursday to clean the shop. I think that makes everyone appreciate the shop more and thay to keep it cleaner normally.
I have severe crohns disease polysorbate80 in the mmr vaccine gave it to me put me in a coma for over month docs swore I was to die they kept trying to get mom to pull plug I'd be brain dead damaged still sharp as a tac. But I was so malnutritioned I had heart attack and have 2 stents to go with my 2 colostomy bags and broke my back In 3 spot just from walking and have really bad pyraderma skin condition CAUSED by Crohn's disease and horrible arthritis some days cant walk. But some days you just got to push through never give up its is no joke it's a daily struggle. I wish I was healthy enough to finish the work on my miata if I ever move to Texas I'll have you do the paint you alway did good work on the gas monkey show. I just found your channel here
I watched before the car wash......and then....I don't know what happened. I should say I was in jail or something...at least then I would have a respectable excuse. I guess I went off on some UA-cam rabbit hole and loaded up on cat videos or something. Great to see the newest shop, the clean example is something to live up to! Stay well everyone and tHanks for the videos!
KC, just getting the end of the explanation of the shop switch and your new formula for builds. Remember profit isn’t a dirty word. It’s better to work smart and for the right customers.
Good to see you guys are still kicking! I have so many questions.....anyway, I was saying a few years ago when we say you guys at the bama coast cruze, man he has so many this going on now, he's going to go crazy!!! Nice to see you've slowed the pace down a bit. My Dad always said when it comes to working on cars, it's quality, not quantity!
So glad to see you guys back on UA-cam.
One year after..
I have never dropped you from my Subscriptions list, welcome back and thank you for the Tour
As a fellow paint wiz I love how you explain everything from ventilation to lighting and constant air pressure because most people don't know or understand that's all these elements affect how you work and eliminating as much obstruction as possible. I love it bro.
Love your shop, your style of work. Your talent is through the roof. Amazing workers.
great layout, congrads on building what you want and keeping the passion alive,
Really enjoy videos
Good to see you guys doing well! Could’ve watched another hour of KC’s talking/stories. Respect! ✊
Love to see KC back, but I get the feeling he's to the point in life where he just wants to work on cool sh*t and be left alone.
Yeah, I like doing that too. I fucking hate it when someone bothers me and I'm working on a car.
and especially when I'm welding, I get focused and someone just talks to me out of no where and I mess up the weld
Bless you Big Gary, I honestly wrote that sentence down after dinner yesterday, weird... time to make some changes!
I will take this stage out comment as 'A sign!'... No idea what I am even doing here, but this is The Gas Monkey Paint-God yes?
