The nostalgia is palpable. This reminds me of a girl I dated as a teenager. My brother introduced us. We stayed up all night talking on MySpace the day before our first date. The date was as perfect as I could have ever hoped. Instant chemistry, shared interests, and she had a great sense of humor. I just loved being around her. On the way taking her home, she played First Date and we sang every word then laughed our heads off. She lived in the middle of nowhere and told me that my Civic wouldn’t make it up her gravel driveway. Of course it could, but I went along with it. We parked at the bottom and got out to walk. She grabbed my hand and pulled me close. When our lips met, I could have sworn there were fireworks. It was a perfect moment. The type you wish you could hold onto, make last forever. Maybe it was just young, dumb love. The kind you never really forget. We always sang along to music in the car. Feeling This was one of our favorites. She sang Tom’s parts and I sang Mark’s. This takes me back to that time, 14 years ago… driving down dark country roads, music at full volume, falling in love. It’s been a long time since I remembered what that felt like. It’s been a long time since a song gave me chills. Thanks, brother.
Incredibly well put, I felt the same when I heard this. There’s just something about your first love. This takes me back to that point as well. Some things you can’t replace. No matter how it ended, you’ll always be grateful for the memories

Like you're ready to pour a quarter cup of batter and wait until bubbles form on the top. Flip the pancake to let the other side brown, and serve with maple syrup. It was a perfect pancake. The type you wish you could hold onto, make last forever. Maybe it was just Aunt Jemimah. The kind you never really forget.
"Feeling This" is often my song when I start down a path of reminiscing. It makes me think of the care-free summer days in my teens hanging around with friends, getting into trouble but loving every single second. I'm in my 30s now and have lost contact with a lot of these friends after moving away and some have passed on. I accidentally came across this looking for another one, but I'm happy I did. It's such a gorgeous cover and you were able to capture the emotion I think is behind the initial writing of it.
Wow. This sounds like a heart-wrenching ballad instead of the horny romp that it originally was. I'm continually impressed with your arrangement skills!
Technically Mark wrote a more tender love song and Tom wrote a horny romp and when they came together and put it together it just gelled enough that they left it mostly as-is with 2 different tones of 'love' throughout the song.
I never felt like it was all that sexual, despite some of Tom's lyrics. It always felt like a blossoming romance, that was new and fun, then turns to what happened once that ended. I love the original version. This one is great too, but definitely more of a chill ballad.
my dog i had for almost 11 years passed away recently. today was the first day i had to come home from work and she wasnt there, this made me feel better. thanks Alex
Sorry for your loss. I think that this video will be the right one for you: ua-cam.com/video/NwlSsnsraKQ/v-deo.html. A really beautiful video and song.
i'm amazed at how many pop-punk songs make really nice country songs... perhaps proof that some pop-punk songs were actually thoughtful, emotionally intelligent songs that probed universal human emotions and feelings... some...
Pop punk and bro country, even most of nashville pop isn’t too different. A lot of pop punk is basically boy bands with a rock & roll outfit. Doesn’t matter as long as the music is good
He's tricked me into thinking this was a country song in disguise all along. Can you do some early Yellowcard songs like this? Or Brand New? Or Starting Line? lol
Lmao the other commenters beat me to it. Odi Acoustic is one of my favorite musicians of all time...he does AMAZING stuff. Unfortunately he has disappeared.
This isn’t even corny! It’s actually really quite beautiful. You’ve done an awesome job of this cover. Even with the subtle sonics and backing arrangement 👌🏽
This is hard to comprehend. Like how much raw talent it takes just to move a song between genres like this is underrated even for those of us who truly do appreciate it. Unreal, bro. Unreal.
Half way through the first time I listened I didn’t like this at all. But the second half hooked completely me and now I’ve listened 3 times and love the entire song
this one got me good! used to sing this in my high school band back in the early 00's. this country version is 100% getting added to my must learn list!
I’ve said for years that if anyone had the guts and open mind to make punk songs country it’d take off. My groomsman walkout song at my wedding was a slowed down country style acoustic version of Dammit. Keep these coming.
I have to be here everyday to listen this masterpiece version of this masterpiece music. Thank you Alex, congrats from Brazil. Sorry for my english, I've tried not use google.
First time I ever heard Feelin This was when this channel mashed it up with Jamie All Over. Instant favorite. This, however, is a whole new level. Good god, man, how are you real?
Alex, you did it yet again! What an amazing cover. You made this song an overall better song, but still kept it very much a Blink song. I appreciate all that you do and can't want for the next one. My only wish is that songs would get uploaded to Spotify quicker as i have to wait to get these amazing songs on my lists. Great name BTW
This is my favourite song of all time and I did not think anything would compare to it. This version has. I cannot get over how amazing it is, how different the feels are and how much I relate to this one more. I think this version has beaten the original for my all time favourite song, so thank you. Thank you so much.
Holey mac this brings tears to my eyes. You have totally changed the meaning of the song and it's so heart wrenchingly full of yearning. You are incredible!
Crazy job dude, I feel your passion and your sensibility. Please do more blink-182 covers, you're so talented playing / singing them with your own personnal touch and interpretation !!!
Without a doubt a favourite Blink song of mine. Another crackin cover mate. Listened to it by 4 times already. I'm a huge Blink fan, my wife is a huge country fan.... thank you for bringing the 2 together 🙏
Absolute perfection. Just like you and most people that watch your channel, I am a massive Blink fan. Many of their old songs really tug at my emotions when you hear that first no sometimes you get that lump in your throat. Feeling this never really was that simply because it was just a good upbeat song. You have completely changed that and brought out a level of emotion for that song I never thought could exist. Would love to see you do Always.
Alex is a true professional. Carried on playing this song even though his house was clearly on fire.
Haha I laughed too hard at this comment XD
@@santabro1 ok
i could clearly the smoke too 🤣🤣
Haha top comment 😂
You can see him looking before the second verse: what, uh ok, keep playing..😅
I feel like the "y'alternative" series started as, "haha it's country" and now it's just, "Alex actually likes playing country."
It was all a joke, until it wasn’t.
It’s like when I started using the words “lit and totes and on fleek” ironically until…They weren’t being used ironically anymore
Irony is a slippery slope
He likes what he’s good at.
Somehow I now like country too.

Thats one reason why I love Bink, a lot of their songs are simple yet can be pretty deep at the same time.
Y'alt just became my new favorite genre.
good ol y’alternative

This version is criminally underviewed. Absolutely fantastic performance, should be very proud of it.
i'm amazed at how many pop-punk songs make really nice country songs... perhaps proof that some pop-punk songs were actually thoughtful, emotionally intelligent songs that probed universal human emotions and feelings... some...
Reminds me of a dear friend who passed away. Makes me think of him happy, in his youth chasing girls and listening to punk rock.
I need the whole Blink discography as y'allternative
Thiiiiiisssssssss please 🥺
I'd buy that box set, then download it too!
The harmonies they dropped at the end of this song were insane. Say what you will about Blink, but they wrote some of the catchiest songs ever.
pretty cool that Blink 182 did a pop-punk cover of your song man!
This song used to hype me up. This version soothes me. The duality your absolute talent has given this song 😍
Man, you have a hell of a gift with how well you transpose between genres. Ya don't miss 🙌
It's all the same genre of pop music. I thought that was the whole point of this channel.

Same. I can't stand country but if it all sounded like this, it would be hands down the best genre of music.

Flipping love these! Punk gone country is my new favourite genre
Y'allternative is my new favorite term for Punk Gone Country
i love how you dont say "Feeling This" once. really makes it stand apart from the original which says Feeling This constantly through the song.
wow somehow i didn't catch / think about this. great point.

I love cover songs of all types. This is seriously one of the best covers of a song I've ever heard.
This version should be on the radio- I'd buy it! Beautiful work brother!
If I had any money I’d give you every last cent of it to make country covers of every Blink song
Brink .182
Road 182
Or route 182
In a long enough timeline we might have them all eventually
Same. I get such a thrill from every one of these!
I just freaking love it!!! TotallY!!

Huge fan of Blink since elementary school. I really enjoyed this cover, I had to listen to it a few times in a row. Keep it up.
Okay I'm not even going to pretend I'm enjoying this 'ironically' - It's straight up fire. Well done.
😭😭😭😭 I can't stop sobbing. This song has a lot of really heavy meaning to me and hearing it like this was just.... oh my god...
Same. Beautiful rendition.
You even added that “so lost and disillusioned” in the end👍🏻 you’re the best dude!
Proof that Alex loves these songs
Wait is that what they are saying in the background??
