I hope you enjoy your stay here in US, inspite of Covid, I think the school will scale down some of the extra curriculars but hopefully, you still experience what is like living in different culture.
I just came along your channel, I live in Houston. I remember when I had my foreign exchange student back in 2004. Hope you have a great time while in Houston.
Does anyone know, if you do an exchange program, if you visit public or private school in the us? Because according to the media public schools are not the safest and i would like to know before i make a descision?😬💕💕
As a former host dad in the USA, it is almost always only families that are reasonably well off host exchange students. They usually live in very safe neighborhoods and therefore the public schools are very safe. Almost every student video shows this to be true. So I hope this lessens some of of your fear about your safety in American schools. I heartily reccomend that you decide to become an exchange student; you will have an unforgettable year. Good luck. PS- I don't know if any of the foreign student exchange organizations allow you to ask for a private school.
Unless u ask for a private school, you will probably go to a public school, but you can request it! The organization wants you to feel safe. With that said, every single school has their own protocol, to ensure the utmost safety. But ask ur organization, they are there to help
