The Volley Crossbow for Victor Saltzpyre actually is really good, especially considering what talents Jake has. Since the talent Weight Of Fire gives a 1% Power bonus per ammo, that means just from having the Volley Crossbow equipped, he gets a 15% increase to his overall power. Yes, the weapon doesn't do great damage, but so are the Repeater Pistol and Brace of Pistols. When looking for ranged damage, you use the Griffonfoot, which are capable of one shot killing Stormvermin on Veteran difficulty from ludicrously surprisingly high range, considering how it is basically a duckbill shotgun (horizontal spread). And, also considering it doesn't have armour piercing, which is crazy. Yes, Volley Crossbow isn't a very effective damage dealer, it has its many uses. Besides, you're gonna be melee attacking even as the Bounty Hunter a lot. Just a personal recommendation for Jake here. When you get to level 20, if you want to use the Volley Crossbow, set the Blessed Shots to have a reduced cooldown by 6. Every 4 seconds will have a guaranteed ranged crit attack. The other good option is the blessed shots consume no ammo, but that's better for Griffonfoot than Volley Crossbow. Just a heads up too, the pistol attack with the rapier activated Blessed Shots, which can be a blessing or a curse. If you are using something like Griffonfoot, be aware of when Blessed Shots is ready, cause the pistol attack with the rapier is hard to aim and does very low damage. (However, it is GREAT for destroying the orbs that the boss of Act 1 mission 4 and the boss fights during the Drachenfels missions throw out. Since it takes no ammo, you can hit the orbs to destroy them with that instead of using actual ammo. This is quite important since getting hit by those orbs stuns you until someone comes over and saves you. I literally spent the entirety of the boss fights against the Drachenfels boss when playing with my sisters just shooting the orbs as they flew out) As for melee weapons for Victor Saltzpyre, the Rapier is never a bad choice, and the Flail is good, just like the others said in a previous Vermintide video. Not just because of the heavy attack charge, but also because it breaks shields fast (which is quite important now that shield enemies Spawn like specials and elites do, including patrols of shield using Stormvermin (annoying kind of patrol)). The axe is okay, really nice heavy attack, but it is not great for dealing with groups. The Greatsword ain't bad for that part too. So as a general recommendation, use the Flail and Rapier as much as you can. Ranged, well, Griffonfoot is amazing, Brace of Pistols ain't horrible, and the Volley is great for a low damage ranged. Really good for taking out many enemies quickly. Doubly so with Bounty Hunter's increased ammo capacity, giving 53 reserve ammo for it. For a non-Waystalker class, that's quite a lot.
I feel I should give some advice. I love Vermintide 2, love playing it, so allow me to give some advice regarding classes, enemies, and weapons. (**WARNING**, This will be a long comment. Proceed at your own risk) For Markus Kruber (the soldier), some great weapons are the Great Hammer, a few shield weapons (spear and shield is… okay), and if you can handle the distance, the Halberd is great too. The Handgun ranged weapon is pretty much the only quality ranged for him, BUT the Blunderbuss, the big cannon you complained about, is really good. Yes, I hate its range, but that's actually funnily not its best strength. Its best is the beat back attack. It does hardly anything, but with the Foot Knight, he can get a talent that gives temporary health for staggering enemies. I think you can see where I am going with this. Yep, the Blunderbuss's beat back attack staggers. Just spam that attack on basic enemies, and you'll get temporary hp like there's no tomorrow. Of course, can't do this to everything, but then again, when are you going to try and beat back a Chaos Warrior or a Monster like the Chaos Spawn? As for Grail Knight, the weapons given with it are great. The Bretonnian Longsword (which can be used with other classes) provides a block when heavy attacking, which can also be held. It's one of the few weapons that have something special like this, including the Flail's heavy attack and the Moonfire Bow's unlimited ammo. I haven't properly tested this yet, but it might be possible that the Bretonnian Sword and Shield is what allows the Grail Knight to block Warpfire Throwers. Just an added bonus, it can also block Ratling Gun fire. I have to test if you can block Ratling Guns with any shield, since I only tried doing that in Vermintide 1, so it might just be something you can do in VT2, since the Grail Knight is said to block Warpfire, it never mentions Ratling Guns. For Bardin Goreksson the dwarf, the best class if Ranger Veteran, hands down. Especially since I see the guy who plays him (Alex) has Outcast Engineer, meaning he has the Masterwork Pistol. Just take a weapon like the Great Hammer, equip the pistol, and you are gold. Especially if you upgrade your passive to give 40% ammo with his "Bardin's survival ammunition", instead of the usual 10%. I picked up 2 using the Swift Bow as Waystalker, and I was almost immediately back up to full ammo. Really good. Trollhammer is good too, and yes, use it against monsters. It's known through the Meta as used only for that, which is why people use it. And yes, use it on big crowds. Try to avoid using axes, especially smaller weapons, as the Dwarf, since a lot of them aren't great, such as not having sweeping attack that hit multiple enemies, and not having great crowd control. The Cog Hammer is pretty much what I consider to be one of the best melee weapons in the game, and the best for Dwarf. The heavy attack, on Veteran, one hits a Stormvermin with a headshot. It is so versatile. Sweeping attacks against hordes with the normal attack, and single target high damage with the heavy. Use the heavy against big guys like Chaos Warriors, they go down rather quick if you keep hammering them with this weapon (literally no pun intended, but yes, it does work very well). If you do play Slayer, Alex, ALWAYS have the Throwing Axes equipped. I literally was tempted to get Winds Of Magic dlc simply just BECAUSE of those weapons, and Bardin is my second least played class (beating Sienna only because I don't play much besides Battle Wizard as her, and also because my older sister mains the dwarf). Also, Outcast Engineer requires team assistance, but if left alone by the enemy, the damage output from that Steam-Assisted Crank-Gun (mk2) is crazy. Oh, and Alex? If you get the chance to grab a Concentration Potion as the Outcast Engineer, pop it when a huge wave comes in, and use the minigun. Even at full speed, the potion will still recharge your career skill faster than you can use it. Better yet when you have the legendary equipment perk that increases potion effect duration. You won't run out of ammo for pretty much half a minute. It's SO MUCH FUN! With Kerillian the Wood Elf (or just the Elf), her best class is Handmaiden. You may think that having a dash and dodge boost is kinda low, and I somewhat agree, but she is surprisingly really good. Avoid the Spear at all costs, I hate that thing, might be my least favourite weapon in the whole game. Her dual weapons are all nice; dual daggers is great for speedy attacking, so great for hordes (combo with a speed potion, you become a human(elf?) blender). Sword and dagger might what I consider the best of the three, mostly because it only has a negligibly slower attack speed with best crowd control than the dual daggers. Dual swords ain't bad either, as I have found. The single sword ain't great, I've never really liked it. It's like how I don't like the small sword for Markus, it just seems too small compared to the other weapons. The Glaive ain't bad, but that's because it has armour piercing, and that's major on Kerillian, because the only other weapons she can have that have armour piercing are the Longbow and Moonfire Bow, which is ranged. It ain't half bad. For bows, depends on playstyle. Swift Bow may be weak, but as Waystalker, you get 100 shots with it. Crazy fast too, especially in VT1. The Hagband ain't terrible, good crowd control, but I find it slow. Longbow, once I actually realised it has armour piercing, is really good because of that. Moonfire Bow is practically a must have, because A, infinite ammo, just needs to recharge, B, has the same perks as the Longbow, and C, great crowd control and special killing power. On Veteran, as long as you land a full charged hit on a special, while it won't kill it with the hit itself, the resulting fire damage the target suffers will kill it. I got a surprisingly high number of kills that way. Just don't half charge shoot it. It drains more ammo, and you don't get the big explosion that gives it great crowd killing power that a full charge has. Don't use the Moonfire if you are playing Waystalker, though, since you get double ammo as the Waystalker. But if you do play Handmaiden, use ONLY that bow. The Volley Crossbow for the Shade isn't bad, since it works similar to Victor's, but the aimed attack fires a burst attack, unlike Victor's which fires in a W shape. Waystalker's career skill/ultimate is really good though. I went a little crazy with it in a previous mission, where I kept having moments where I fired it off, and the attack killed enemies around the corner. Did it to enemies I didn't see multiple times. (Just a notice, I have yet to play Sister of the Thorn, so my opinion on the throwing Spear and the staff is not yet available) For Victor Saltzpyre, Witch Hunter Captain is a great class. Zealot ain't bad either, and might be amazing for you Jake, since you seem to be getting down to low health a lot, whether by enemies or your friends. Bounty Hunter ain't half bad either. Flail is great, rapier is great, and the volley crossbow, Griffonfoot, and Brace of Pistols are all great weapons of choice. As for Sienna Fuegonasus, she is a little hard to play. For you guys, I don't think she's great, but if you can handle it, she might be useful. Just, for the LOVE OF GOD, do NOT play as Pyromancer! She is considered by many, including myself, to be the absolute worst class in the whole game! All she gets is a slight ranged damage increase, a slight power boost, and a somewhat useful ultimate that more often than not targets the enemies you aren't trying to hit with it. Meanwhile, Battle Wizard and Unchained are scary. Unchained can use her ultimate to save herself from blowing up from having overheated her overcharge, and Battle Wizard can vent her overcharge passively just by not using spells with the staff for some time, complete with no losing health. Fire Sword and the Mace are really the only good melee weapons. For staffs, the best are Coruscation Staff (for its remarkably low overcharge buildup, and the area denial powers of the charge spell), and the standard Fireball staff. Firebolt ain't bad either. Flamestorm is scary to use, and Beam staff is hard to use. Conflagration ain't bad either. Oh, and a heads up for Elise. When trying to give a healing potion to Jake, use the other mouse click, not the normal. The normal uses it, the other gives it to him. THEN he can use it to heal himself. Same goes for medical supplies, just a heads up. The right click is what heals the other target. You can also use the right click to give a bomb or a potion to someone else, if they don't have one.
Fun fact: The way Gabby subtitled the shrine of strife thing with the Hashtag b and stuff is actually a word "Hashtag birrra" this part to be exact. Bira is a word in the turkish language, it means Beer

(Just a notice, I have yet to play Sister of the Thorn, so my opinion on the throwing Spear and the staff is not yet available)
For Victor Saltzpyre, Witch Hunter Captain is a great class.
Fun fact: The way Gabby subtitled the shrine of strife thing with the Hashtag b and stuff is actually a word
"Hashtag birrra" this part to be exact. Bira is a word in the turkish language, it means Beer
Gabby and jake are such an awesome couple. Always passing the vibe check😅
Did anyone not question the fact that Jake said his Crossbow shot bullets...
@05:44 "Foetid gorge and Forbidden passage." Is that what she calls them? :) :)
Just found out your channel and fk me you reignited my joy for this style of UA-cam content. Do you play sven Co op occasionally?
We have 2 previous videos of it and there might be a third coming.
