- Riding a Jubilee line 1996 stock tube train whilst passing a B90 / B92 / B2K Docklands Light Railway (DLR) train - after calling at West Ham station the Jubilee line train shows the DLR train a 'clean pair of heels' as it zooms away at high speed for the journey to Canning Town, which is where this filmclip ends.
There is also a bonus footage film clip filmed on the platform at Star Lane station showing a Jubilee line train passing by 'at speed'.
Very nice to see you still uploading tidbits of the tube, thanks for the videos!
Holy that’s quick
Same as the Finchley Road-Wembley Park section.
Not sure that the DLR goes as far as North West London 😁
@@dorsettyke I mean the Jubilee and Metropolitan trains running parallel to each other.
Jubilee line won
DLR trains appear to have a set speed, unlike tube trains.... interesting.
Bonus of buses.
I do like both the Jubilee and the DLR and it’s certainly interesting when both trains move at the same time.
2:39 quite the sight isn’t it?
Very nice train race !
🚄🏁🚅
first metropolitan line passes jubilee line station and now the jubilee line take advantage by passing a lot of DLR Stations
Jubilee talking to DLR I am speed
never ridden these yet although different traction they still sound like Vancouver's introductory fleet
the sounds between Vancouver's introductory fleet and these Jubilee line trains are similar in theme, although I am unsure which are louder!
The same 1986 trains as in Vancouver are also used in Toronto (I've been to both cities) and one US city - Detroit perhaps. I've not been to that city.
Jubilee line will always be faster, it's automatically driven by a computer. Metropolitan line is mostly manually driven at present
The DLR also has ATO, and I thought it would be obvious brcause of the lack of cab sections and no drivers. The jubilee will go faster because it doesn’t stop as often as the DLR
@@Farleigh1050 the tube will also go faster because the DLR is technically a Light Rail Vehicle
@@hartstukken yeah, hence the name docklands *light railway*
Because of the sharp curves the DLR trains have a wheel profile that is less suited to higher speeds. The trains will hunt (ie: wriggle from side to side) too much and this is not comfortable for the passengers (makes some feel seasick!)
DLR < Jubilee < Metropolitan < Chiltern
💀
Hello do you have any footage of trains from King Cross Thameslink? If you do can you make a video about it.
I have some still images; sorry but as far as I can tell I do not have video - the station was always too crowded
@@CitytransportInfoplus Ok. You could though make a video with the still images since you have done that before.
Does that DLR run along the tracks of what used to be the North London Line to North Woolwich?
Yes.
yes, between stratford international (international not mainline) and royal victoria
A fast driver
driven by computers!
@@CitytransportInfoplus ok!
Hmmm... the Tube train *was* fast, but I'm not sure it was any faster than other Tube trains running at their permitted maximum speed!
I am unsure if the distance between stations is even sufficient for them to reach their permitted maximum speed
I wonder which train gave a more comfortable ride?
jubilee generally for confort, but dlr is more fun because its really shaky and you could get lucky enough to see out the front
But which one has won. I’d say the DLR.
Lol
😂
