Hey Dan and Eric the company Lewis also makes the (Lewis Multi Drill) it's an attachment the turns you chainsaw into a drill. It will drill 4,6,8, and even 10 inch earth and ice auger bits. And can even be used for drilling smaller 1inch holes though wood to run carriage bolts.
That thing packs a punch for it's size!
Since the Kobalt Line is 24v I wonder how hard it would be to use one of their Lithium ions with this thing. On amazon there is a mount for the Kobalt 24v batteries.
Don't reeve winches back to their own wire rope, you will kink and overload the rope.It's designed to pull straight. Use a sling.

Hey Dan and Eric check out the Lewis chainsaw winch. Its an adapter that bolts to any chainsaw and turns it into a winch that is capable of pulling 8,000 pounds.
Looks like a all around do anything winch. How long is the cable? That trailer look great hook up to your truck very clean look.

Trying to figure out why any company would still opt to use Nickel Cadmium battery chemistry, when some form of lithium rechargeable would be better in almost every way.

maybe with a snatch block
No no no no no...it may be able to do it,but safely no, heck no! If ya dont want a winch on your truck, then take a buddy and snatch/kinetic strap(different than a tow strap), and a traction aid(ie maxtrax or equivalent)... ya start using equipment beyond its intent you're bound to get somebody hurt, or even killed when recovering vehicles. There is a lot of force needed to "unstuck" a vehicle. And even with a snatch block that doesnt change the rating on the anchor point, sure you could multiply the pulling force until you run out of line, but it never changes the anchor side...learn proper recovery basics and forget this type of winch for vehicle recovery...keep wheeling, and tread lightly, but don't let it bite you!
